Bade frowned. "Not true..." he said quietly. If he had doggie ears, they would've flattened against his head. But since he didn't, they didn't. "Is your arm okay? I've been known to have a pretty strong grip..." He peeked over to look at Charlotte's arm, still frowning. "Sorry. But, um, c'mon. Maybe you should eat now." He looked her over for a moment, then walked around her and set both hand on either of her shoulders, steering her towards the line in the cafeteria. Two other kids were standing there, and one of them looked up at Bade.

"'Sup, Bade?" He nod-greeted him.

"Nothin' much," Bade replied, shrugging. He smiled at Charlotte, suddenly appearing next to her. "You don't have to pay. Your parents -- err...grandmother -- payed for food along with the cost of staying here."

"Oh, come on now. Don't give it that look." Bade frowned. "It's just vegetables 'n stuff. There's pizza, but I don't like the sauce. And for some reason, there's bagels, which I don't understand at all. And then there's spaggetti. Once again, I don't like the sauce. And, uh, there's...whatever you call that." He pointed at a large soup pot, and he stuck his tongue out. "Yuck. When I tried it, I sware I was gonna puke." He glanced around again. "And the chicken over there...you better not eat that. Tastes fine 'n' all, but..." He bit his bottom lip.

"So what're you going to get?" Bade asked.

"I don't know." Bade snarled through his teeth. "I don't. Know." He pulled her into a cabin and slammed the door shut. "Here, I guess." he muttered, letting go of her arm and sitting down on a random chair.

"Now, tell me, what the hell is your problem?" Bade growled, glaring at Charlotte.

Charlotte was shocked, but quickly recovered and reminded herself, It's just his temper issues.. He wouldn't hurt me..He wouldn't hurt me ..

She ground her teeth together and sat on the edge of the bed, unwilling to answer his question.

Bade gripped his knees, trembling lightly. Get control of yourself, you dumb bastard. You're not going to lose it just because a girl is refusing to be normal. "Why won't you tell me anything?" he gasped, his voice shaking. Oh, don't you dare start sobbing. "Do you think I'm a horrible person? Do you not trust anyone?"

"I know but...but I won't do anything to you. I promise." Bade looked back up at Charlotte, his eyes glas-sy. "I wouldn't ever do that again. Now, it's the girls that use me. And in the weirdest ways." He bit his lip, remembering his last girlfriend. As soon he felt used, he was dumped. "I promise I won't disrespect you, Charlotte." he said quietly, pulling something out of his pocket. He lit it quickly and held it to his lips, taking a single, deep drag on it.

A cigarette. That's what I...sh-it. Secondhand smoking. Almost reluctantly, Bade pressed the butt of the cigarette against the floor, putting out by stepping on it.

"You're odd, too." Bade muttered, folding his hands in his lap.

Charlotte shook her head and sighed, "I won't leave .. Just don't try anything." Her stomach growled lightly.

Bade nodded, then sighed. "If you won't eat what's in the cafeteria, what will you eat? Before I left, I kind of stashed food in a bag, 'cause one of my friends told me there was, like, nothing to eat here. He probably only said that 'cause...well, we never really saw him eating. When we did, he was eating meat." He chuckled quietly, crossing his ankles.

"Back to my question, then: what will you eat?" Bade smiled a little, his blue eyes flashing.
