At that moment, Bade nearly had a heart attack. "Wh...what!?" he cried, rushing into the cabin. He looked around, gasping. "Maybe...maybe Russell took him? He...he has some fondness of kids, so...so..." He bit his lip. "I'm so sorry, Charlotte!" Bade exclaimed, coming back out.
Seasons are changing and waves are crashing and stars are falling, all for us. |

Not that she hadn't expected it, but still... She shoook her head at Bade, "It's not your fault, Bade. It's mine. I should have known, I should have thought about it." She pushed the bile that was rising in her throat back down and wrapped her arms around Bade's waist.
