Bade looked behind himself. "Is Charlotte crying in there?" he asked.

Russell rolled his eyes. "Yeah," he said, muttering to himself. "You know, you should really be more considerate of-" Bade was knocking on the door. "...other people's feelings." Russell finished, frowning. "What the hell are you doing?"

"Trying to get Charlotte to open the door." Bade muttered, smacking a fist against the door. "I sware, I'm gonna end up knocking the damn door down."

Charlotte lifted her head and listened for a moment. "Go away," she snarled. "I don't ever want to talk to you." Thoughts rushed through her head.

If I hadn't slept with Stephen I would't have gotten pregnant, got brought here, fell in love with Bade, nearly killed him, killed Stephen's baby, had sex with Bade, left, had Bade's child, came back and killed Stephen. 

She thought bitterly, I've killed anything related to Stephen. Him included.

Bade bit down on his lip, hard. "Well, I want to talk to you!" He continued pounding on the door. "Let...me..." He was gasping, eyes wide. "Let me in!" he shouted, punching the door. He punched a hole in it, but not to the other side.

Russell stood there, stunned. "Damn," he said simply. "Kick it down now!" he exclaimed, sounding excited.

Bade only glared at him.

Bade stopped. "Ugh," He walked around the building, followed by Russell, who was eager to see Bade kick something down. Bade stopped at a window, and he raised his leg, kicking the window screen down.

Russell only gaped at Bade as he climbed through the window.

"Okay, I'm here now, so you have to talk to me." Bade walked over and sat cross-legged in front of Charlotte. "What's wrong?"

"I don't care," Bade ran his fingers through Charlotte's hair. "If someone murdered me, I wouldn't be angry if it were you who had done it."

Charlotte didn't move until she was sure he was gone. She lifted her head, and then stood up, stretching. She grabbed a piece of paper and scribbled quickly:

Bade and Russell,

Gone for a walk. None of your business where I went. If I'm not back in three hours, I've done something horrible that can't be corrected.

She scooped up the sleeping James and ducked out of the cabin. She was taking a walk down to the cliff where she and Jacob had gone swimming.

"Isn't that Charlotte?" Russell asked, pointing at Charlotte.

"I have to leave her alone, Russell. That means I can't go after her," Bade sighed. "As much I want to, I can't."

"I'm going inside the cabin," Russell said.

"Do what you want," Bade muttered, lighting another cigarette. "I could really care less."

Russell shrugged, walking inside. He noticed the note, which he read over quickly. "Um, Bade?"

"I don't care!"

"No, but, Bade... You should read this note..."

Bade blinked. "Note?" He scrambled to get up, running into the cabin and reading the note. "...Three hours...?"

"I-I'll wait three hours," Bade said, swallowing.

"What? Are you insane?" Russell smacked the back of Bade's head. "What's happened to you?"

Bade only stayed quiet.
