Nightsong got up, and air-flounced away from the lovebirds. Her ribbons flowed in the air (could some thermals have been supporting them?) and she left.

Snowduster opened his eyes to see the morning light filtering through the stall window. He smiled, his silver horns seeming to glow in the sun's unblemished rays. His golden eyes twinkled as he thought, "Today is the start of mating season." Frost grinned, standing slowly, her red eyes adjusting to the lighting in her stall. It was the start of mating season, and she had yet to find a suitable male. She sighed. Last year, she had found a mate, but he left her for another female. |

Snowduster walked outside, breathing in the crisp morning air. He saw some other kiokas outside, but he decided to wait for his friend, Frost, before approaching any of them. Frost followed Snowduster, but stopped when she heard a voice at her window. She turned, blinking her red eyes and replied, "Hi." There was another female kioka there, this one a black color. |
