((sirry! I was studying for alittle yesterday when I opened the other rp and i forgot to reply... T-T I'll get to it tonight, hopefully.. I'm sorry.))
Shiki smiled and looked at Raul. "Well, glad to hear it. The other country however, is a bit... rebellious. I'll let you see it for yourself. i can't begin to tell you what i've seen for myself." His smiled turned into a crooked grin. "Now, Master Raul, I will probably be able to introduce you to my uncle very soon. I mean, there is something that he wanted to show you, but I don't know what it is." He walked around the table and to the bench Namir was sitting on before. He ran his hand on the surface. "That elf... She isn't a normal slave.." He gave Raul a sideways glance, "is she? She seems to be very keen on a lot of things. Subtle movements and such.. Picking up on certain aspects of humans." He gave a small smile.
Raun shook his head. "no water. I'm fine. It's just.. I just don't like the family business. I mean, it's meaningless something and I know it makes good money, i mean, look at this house. It's a freakin' castle in progress..." He sighed and pulled his tailcoat off before he removed the tie and unbuttoned his shirt so he was more relaxed. "Ya know, Wyn, I kind of wanna leave this house. I mean, there isn't anything for me to do here. I'm treated like royalty here and it's kind of annoying. I like the outdoors but all i get to do outside is ride the horse and shoot down birds when we hunt. It's boring."
He looked around and sat down in the grass that was a few paces from him. He pulled his knees to his chest and looked at the clouds before he just flopped down on the grass. "It feels nice out here, doesn't it Wyn? Or do you wanna go back inside? I dn't mind going inside for a little."

Ooc:// The reply with Vanna in it is on the other page, Shifter.
Bic://
Zawynaias nodded respectively. "I understand, master." He looked up at the clouds before sitting down in front of Raun, allowing his hands to skim over the emerald grass. "It is nice outside. The air is refreshing, wouldn't you say, master?"
"Are you not allowed to leave, master? Are you afraid to leave this household?" Zawynaias tilted his head slightly to the side, turning his ear toward the sound of a singing bird, smiling a bit. He loved to hear the birds sing. It reminded him of Nanai, because she would always go on about how elves had special connections to animals of the forest- or at least elves that hadn't forgotten what life was like before slavery.
He looked down to the dress pants that were a part of his uniform that he was required to wear as a slave. He stopped momentarily to let his thoughts drift to his sister. Though he would be happy to leave, if Raun left, that is, he would be terribly sad without his twin.
He then looked back to Shiki. "Are you afraid to leave because you wouldn't be here to help Vanna out?"
~~~~~~~~~~
Sylvanna bit her tongue. As much as she hated to admit it, this Namir girl was making a bit of sense. Vanna was stubborn, had a sharp tongue, a steely gaze, and a fiery attitude that she had to hide to avoid from being hit most of the time. She simply nodded in Namir's direction, and looked back to the door.
She wondered what was taking place in the seating room with the remaining people. Probably some boring business things that she didn't care to know about.
Deciding to give Namir some type of words of thanks for her words of wisdom, which Vanna actually slightly considered taking into mind, she spoke a single word. "Thankyou.
Raun looked at Zawynaias and nodded. "It does feel nice out here.." He closed his eyes and heaved a heavy sigh. "Yes and no. I am not afraid to leave, more than not, my aunt and uncle wouldn't really care whether or not I leave because I've got my own fortune. I worked for most my life until I was dumped here with my brother." He tugged at his silver dragon clasp and ran his other hand along the grass blades, clutching at them like they were what rooted him to this planet.
"I am scared because it would mean leaving you and Vanna at the mercy of my brother. They wouldn't let me take my brother's elf, unless I did it secretly or she 'escaped' for some reason. My aunt and uncle will have no problem punishing me for 'stealing' a slave that they bought with their 'hard earned' money. They don't get it." He opened his icy blue eyes and stared at the cloud that was passing over him, casting a wide shadow that seemed a lot bigger than the cloud itself.
"As to whether or not I could leave, I'm sure I can, but there are things here that keep me in this house. I can't help but want to leave this stupid place with these stuck up upper class people I call 'family.' They don't like me all that much because I don't do business, I don't do slave trades, and I don't live to their ideals like Shiki does." He sighed once more and looked at Wyn. "What about you? If I 'accidentally' left the mansion doors open and the gates unlocked, would you leave? Would you set yourself free and never look back?" He gave Wyn a solemn smile.
(( lol no problem XD )) Raul stood and faced Shiki who was curiously observing the spot Namir had perched like it offered some clues. Shiki was sharp and Raul respected him for that, but he still disliked elves and therefore Raul would never trust him. He trusted very few anyways. He spun the story that was all truth, but didn't give any part of the whole truth away. It was quite a feat of years of saying it over and over again to curious people. "Ah my Namir... She is as loyal as they come. I picked her up from some market, beaten, starved, and half dead. But I could see her beauty and cleverness -for an elf- beneath the grime." His eyes were distant as if seeing the elven women again for the first time in his memory. "I told her simply that if she was only loyal to me and did everything I asked of her, she would have a life of luxury unkown to any elf. It took two days of her being pampered like a princess for her to lay down before me and vow that she would never serve another being other than me. She is quite wickedly clever my slave, and has uncovered quite a few spies in my household. She brings in more money than I ever will spend on her and is very good at catching clues the I would have otherwise not seen when concentrating on business." He looked directly back at Shiki with a smile. "She is a hard specimen to find." There was not once ounce of falsehood other than the single word of 'slave' in that whole explanation. Not even one who was a master at seeking falsehoods could find a way around that because it simply was all true. Namir gave a cool smile. "I just simply wish to help..." She paused. "If you are ever in a need of a place to hide, or need something vital don't hesitate to come to my household. I can provide you with many things including advice, healing, shelter, or some simple training on anything if you need it. I offer this to any girl in your situation because once I was in need of it. If you do not know where to go simply ask for the "Wolf Lord" to any market vendors and they will tell you the way. It is my Master's nickname in the business world." She always chuckled at the name for it was quite fitting... "And simply go to the back of our townhouse and tell whomever answers that you have a urgent message for Namir. They will let you in." She readjusted her skirts and once again the fake look sprang up on her face and she smiled at Vanna. The girl had no idea Raul was anything other than a unusually nice but complete slave master and she intended to keep it that way for now. "Now shall we go see what our oh so beloved masters are doing and if they need our assistance?" The sarcasm was so heavy it almost dripped off the word beloved.
Sylvanna smiled and watched as Namir readjusted her skirts. She almost envied the girl for her clothes- for her luxuries. She clasped her hands together and thought about the words that the blonde-haired slave had previously told her. She bit the inside of her cheek.
So she could come to them if she ever needed to hide, or needed something vital. She kept all of the words locked in her brain, vowing to never forget the information. She would most likely need it one day. That is, if she survived to see that day. She laughed at the thought. The rebellion couldn't come soon enough for her.
"Yes, I believe we shall." Sylvanna opened the powder room door for Namir to exit, a slight smile on her face.
~~~~~~~~~~
Zawynaias understood where Raun was coming from. Though he'd never had to deal with family drama, or tensions in a family business, he understood his master completely. "I understand, master." He bit the inside of his cheek, looking down to the ground. He felt sorry for Raun, having to deal with all of this. He seemed like he was the only good apple in the bunch.
He was startled when he was asked if he would leave. He'd grown to enjoy Raun's company, and though while he would enjoy his freedom, he would have nowhere to go, and he would be leaving his sister behind if he left. He'd never known a life outside of being a slave.
"I wouldn't be able to leave, master. Not without my sister, and not without you." He set his silver gaze on Raun, locking his eyes on his master's blue ones.

Shiki smirked. " I see, well, there seems to be more to her and you than my uncle thought. Poor fool doesn't know what to think of others when he has to deal with business. Me on the other hand... You guys are different from the rest... I supoose that's a good thing, but could come back and bite me if I'm not careful. Well, it seems that our business will be over soon. I really do hope you get my uncles goods to the country, or he'll send us out to make you pay for the lost goods." His smile dropped as he spoke but appeared once more as a small smile. "Would you be staying for dinner or do you need to get back home Master Raul?" He walked toward the door and placed his hand on the handle, showing he was going to leave.
------------------
Raun smiled slightly. "I see. Well, if you do manage to get out of here with your sister, you must never come back. I can't help you if you're on the outside but I can help you get there if need be. I mean, sure my brother would come after me if he found out I'd help you, but who cares. I'm the better fighter. Always doing the dirty work around here whil ehe keeps his manicured hands clean." He sat up and looked over at Wyn. "Don't worry Wyn, one day, maybe. I dunno. There isn't much information coming in these past few days so I don't know what's going on out there." He looked toward the mansion gates and then looked over to the mansion itsellf.
"We should go back in. I'm sure dinner or lunch... I can't tell the difference with the amount of food they give us... it should be done soon though and I know my brother will most likely ask Raul to stay." He stood up and dusted himself off before he started to readjust his clothes. He made sure there wasn't any more grass on him and pat himself down. He adjusted his family crest and hissed when the pin poked his chest. "Stupid thing... Clasp never stays done." He pulled it out and looked it over.

Namir and Vanna quickly excited the powder room and made their way back to where the rest were still talking. But Raul and Shiki stood alone in the room when they entered. She curtsied silently with a smile and went to stand on the side of the room, near to the pair of men. Namir was ready to be gone and get out of all her "finery" which felt like more of a costume to her than a luxurious outfit. Plus she hated caking the makeup on her face, it felt almost like a mask. But she did it, for it was a necessity...
Raul shook Shiki's hand. "I would be honored to have dinner with you Shiki. Do you mind if Namir joines us at dinner or would you prefer her to eat with your slaves? I do not mind either way." The girls entered. Namir would be annoyed at him for making them stay till dinner but sometimes it was good to eat away from his own cooks or food on the trail. With their money they were bound to have a fine spread, and Raul never said no to someone else using their food stores to impress him. Even if it was vile he had probably eaten worse at some point... Some of his men he traveled with were the worst cooks!

Vanna took her place near Shiki, a new air about her, though she was constantly aware of the possibility of being smacked again in the near future by the tempermental human. She tucked a strand of her vibrant red hair behind one of her pointed ears, smoothing out the simple black dress that was required for her to wear.
She looked forward like she'd seen her brother do so many times and clasped her hands together, placing them in front of her. Hopefully, she would be able to receive less injuries. The one that was on her cheeks still stung a bit.
~~~~~~~~~~
Zawynaias shook his head. "I won't leave you here with Shiki, master. If you don't leave, I won't." A smile played on his lips and he gave a curteous nod, sighing. "Yes, we should probably return before Raul becomes suspicious that you don't want his business, and he backs out."
The red-haired male bowed as he stood up from his place on the grass and said, "I also wish to see how my sister is doing. It bothers me to be away from her. She gets herself into so much trouble." He shook his head and looked back to Raun, opening the door that led back into the seating room for his master to enter.
(sorry if I'm wrong about what door Wyn opened...)
Shiki smiled. "My uncle would be honored if you dined with us. I'm sure he should be back, even though he left this morning. He is a fast traveler, hating getting stuck sleeping outside." He looked at Vanna for a moment before he walked out the door, noticing that it was already open. He walked out and immediately ran into his brother, sending Raun to the floor. "Raun! Dear Gods, would you watch where you're going. I mean, you've never been one to not notice when you're about to run into something." He sighed and hoisted his brother off the ground.
Raun let his brother lift him up and he dusted himself off. "Sorry. I was.. thinking... I didn't mean to run into you and Master Raul." He looked at Wyn and then Vanna. He nodded. "I'm going to assume he is staying for dinner yes? I shall go and tell the chef to prepare more food for them. And I insist that the elves eat with us. I prefer Wyn eat something... And it would be rude to have them, especially Ms. Namir, eat where they would normally when she's dressed like that and we just had their clothes cleaned." He smiled and turned back around, needing to go back down and tell the chef.
(sorry this one was kind of short..... o.o)
Namir kept an eye on Vanna out of the corner of her vision. Good, the girl was actually thinking about what she had said. The girl had better things to do than focus her passion in a negative way. Namir found it almost a focus for when she was forced to be kind to those she hated it made her all that more cunning and quick when she was able to do things that were for the rebellion and against those who enslaved her kind. She almost hoped the girl would come visit her soon, for she obviously was anything but stupid. Directed right, she could become a very useful spy... Raul chuckled. "Ah hes one of those. I love traveling, thats why I always go on the longest of trips!" He stepped back though as the two twins collded with each other, keeping a amused snort from erupting. "That is very kind of you Raun, you are kind to your slaves." He raised an eyebrow at Shiki. "Quite different the two of you are, cause many arguments? Not that it would be unusual between siblings!" He followed Shiki out, and kept beside him as they walked through the hallways towards what he assumed would be the dining room. Namir ghosted silently behind him next to the other slave. Oh yes she was quite a unusal elf... But without him she'd probably be dead by now, and she knew it.
Zawynaias, now reunited with his sister, followed the others, slightly behind Namir and Sylvanna. He was glad that Raun had requested for him to eat with the humans. It had been years since he got to do that last. Though he noticed an unusual air about his sister. She was... being polite, and not staring, or sneering, or scowling, or smirking, he noted with a smile.
He guessed that something had happened. Maybe Shiki had hit her again. No- he saw no new marks on her skin, which was as pale as a porcelain doll's. He pulled in a deep breath and let it out as he smoothed the shoulder part of his sister's dress, his eyes catching on her ruby-studded collar for a moment.
Sylvanna wasn't sure whether she was going to be allowed to eat with the humans and the other elves, but she didn't mind. Either way, she'd eat, and that would be fine with her. She was starving, though she'd eaten properly today. She had a quick metabolism, she guessed. She scratched the tip of her ear, her silver eyes darting from candle to candle that lit up the hallway, still thinking about Namir's words.
Shiki opened the door to the dining hall and pushed the doors completely open. There was a single table in the large room. Pillars that looked like they had been carved from stone held up the ceiling, well, appeared to be holding up the ceiling. A single stained glass window was at the front ot the room, oppisite the doors, but it caught no light. There were larger sectioned windows to the east and west, catching all the sun throughout the day. The table was of dark wood and polished so it shone. The table cloth was of silver cloth and just seemed to look like water on the table. The dishes were all cleaned and practically sparkled with the sun. There were ten seats in all and the table wasn't all that large either.
"All of you, please make yourself comfortable. Raun has probably already informed the chef that there will be more people joining us today and I'm sure he is cooking up something that will fit all our appetites, no matter how pick we may be. Now if you please, Master Raul, what would you prefer to drink? I'll fetch it myself or have Raun get it if it's in the kitchen."
Raun looked at the chef and smiled. He was working so quickly now that he knew there were more people joining. "Calm down Jou.. You'll give yourself a heart attack with how fast you're running around and we wouldn't want that." he smiled at the aging chef. He waved to the chef and walked out of the kitchen. He looked at them all as they entered. "Ah! You're all down here! What would you prefer to drink? Anything you guys would prefer." He smiled.
Raul gazed around the room with simple interest. "Fine house your Uncle sports Shiki and me and my slave will have the simple fare of water. I do not partake in spirits outside of my own home, I find it makes me rather loud and judgmental." And he liked to pick fights when he was drunk. He remembered one time about two years ago a party at his house had gotten quite out of hand, him knocking some lesser noble out cold with one punch, and Namir half dragging him to his room while he yelled profanities for all to hear... Boy, Namir had been furious with him the next morning, throwing open the curtains, and purposely yelling to torture his pounding head. He had deserved it he guessed.
In many ways Namir was closer than a friend. Many thought they were lovers but it had never come to that so far. They acted like a couple sometimes, but true attraction on either side had ever surfaced, or if it did for her she had never let it slip to him. He pushed his thoughts back to the present and turned to Vanna. "Such a beautiful young elf! You are lucky to have her Shiki, many are hard to find unspoiled or ones that cower at just a slight movement." He inspected the girl critically, acting no different than most true slave owners would. He reached up and turned Vanna's face gently, inspecting the marks on her cheek. "Better be careful Shiki, she could loose her value if you scar her face. You could probably fetch a pretty little price for her if you parade her around the right people in court!" He dropped his hand and with his back to Shiki, facing Vanna he dropped one lid in a obvious wink. Raul was a handsome man, and had quite a reputation among the ladies, elven and human alike. But at this point he was just trying to make Vanna feel more comfortable. He turned to Wyn to inspect him. "You and your brother chose wisely... Wyn is it?" He raised an eyebrow at the elf. "He shows promise of being a fine slave and bodyguard in the future..." Hmm.. 'He would make a fine soldier for the rebellion once you got some muscle and hearty food in him. But he is young yet!' Namir almost rolled her eyes. The elf girl wasn't stupid enough to fall for Raul's devilish looks and charm. He did it to every female the crossed his path by habit and she was long immune to it. His blue eyes had never made her swoon and probably never would. She kept her mask of a perfect slave on and took her place by the table, one hand delicately on the back of a chair. She smiled, looking at Shiki properly and not straight in the eyes. She had a feeling he would disprove of that.
Vanna was young, and like all young girls did, she blushed, the pink flooding her pale cheeks, though she quickly dispelled the unwanted color there. Her face was still warm, though, and Her ears felt like they were on fire. She hadn't had much interraction with the opposite sex in terms of flirting or courting, and she never thought she would. She honestly didn't know what to do.
Wyn looked at her and gave her a small signal to curtsy. Sylvanna picked up on what he was trying to say and completed the action flawlessly. "Thankyou, sir." She stood up straight again and Zawynaias smiled at the compliments.
"Thankyou, sir. It is of the utmost importance for my sister and I to take care of our masters." He bowed, his hand making a smooth gesture as he did so.
When they were asked what they wanted as a drink, Sylvanna was so tempted to say wine, but slaves were never allowed wine. One time she snuck a sip of their finest wine down in the cellar. She enjoyed it very much, but that was the only time she'd ever had a drink with alcohol in it.
"Water," the twin slaves said in unison, their voices contrasting yet complimentary at the same time. They pulled out the chairs for their masters before they sat down themselves in the wooden chairs, not yet touching the polished, dark wooden table.
Sylvanna still found it hard to speak or think straight. So much for thinking Namir's words over anymore. Raul's wink had ended that. Her face didn't show it, though.
Shiki smiled and looked at Raun, about to say wine when he was cut off by hi stwin.
"You Sir get no wine! Last time you almost punched our uncle when he commented about how you didn't comb your hair when you got drunk.. So no!" He humphed at his older by a minute brother and walked back into the kitchen to fetch the water. He grabbed a few glasses and poured the cold water from the pitcher before he set it all on a tray and walked back out with the water neatly balanced on the tray. He set the tray down and placed water in front of Raul first and then his brother before he set the other three waters down in front of Namir, Vanna, and Wyn.
He smiled and whispered in Vanna's ear. "You're so cute when you're flustered. Just calm down though." He smiled and straightened himself out. He looked at Namir and in the light, she looked absolutely stunning. "Oh dear me! Ms Namir, you're stunning in the light!" He said innocently and gave her the sweetest smile he could. But it was all genuine. Never fake for him.
Shiki sat down and when his brother put the water in front of him, he drank it slowly. He was just about ready to speak when Raun commented on Namir's appearance and he choked on air. He started to cough and he leaned over to his left, away from everybody and continued his coughing fit. He'd never heard his brother say any kind of comment to any kind of female before. He cupped his mouth, trying to keep some of the coughing quiet.
Raul patted Wyn firmly on the shoulder before he sat down at his chair. "As it should be young one, you should be proud that you are here and not somewhere far worse. And lucky!" He took his seat next to Shiki, across the table, one seat over was Vanna. He assumed Raun would sit across from him. Oh young girls flushed so prettily! Too bad she was already spoken for. Had he seen her in a market he probably would have whisked her away for a few nights of fun then had her "disappear" like the rest of the very few elven women he entertained. They usually went out of the country where no slavery was allowed or if they wished they went to someone who was like him, who would treat with them respect and allow their freedom if they so chose. But it was always made clear that they were nothing but some fun for a few days, and if they caused trouble for him they would not like the result.
Though he might wait a few more years if it were Vanna... Their times permitted a quite large gap in age difference for couplings, but he never approved of ones too young to even really be able to understand the concept. He was a wolf in many courts and everyone knew it. Older men knew to keep their young daughters away from the dashing young nobleman who always was rumored to be on such "grand adventures". Namir had always seemed amused by it, always commenting that he stuck to elves because they couldn't really come openly pleading for him to stay with them forever. He flashed Vanna another dashing smile. In any other situation Namir would have given Raul a perturbed look that always clearly stated. 'You, are trouble dressed up and with too much money!' But for now she kept her face blank as she sat next to him. She dimpled at Raun's comment, flashing him a genuine smile. "Oh! Thank you master Raun you are too kind..." 'I wonder what he would think of me out of this getup. I am quite different.. It would be interesting to see his reaction.' No one had ever been able to tell she was the same person after her disguise was off. She had perfected the makeup over the years. The walk, the voice, every movement was acted out. One of her friends had commented that she turned from a prancing pony into a lithe wildcat when she was truly herself. But it was only practice that did this. Plus she didn't know anyone who changed their eye color or knew they could, and hers were a quite startling ice-white blue when she de-colored them. Raul had paid prettily for that little serum! The man of her money leaned forward and gave Shiki a firm pat on the back. "Water is better not breathed in." He joked, making light of Shiki's reaction. Namir kept her eyes on Raun, her interest piqued.
Vanna pursed her lips together when Raun spoke to her. Calming down was easier said than done for her. She'd never been taught anything on being courted, for she was an elf and a slave at that. From what Nanai had told her, long ago, marriages were arranged at birth, and they occured immediately when the two were old enough to understand the comcept of marriage.
Sylvanna fully understood that this man was a good few years older than she, but she couldn't stop blushing. As the blush that was brought on by Raul's perfected smile appeared on her face, Vanna tipped her water glass back a bit and hoped that the water would cool down her cheeks as she held it in her mouth unnoticeably for a few seconds before actually swallowing. Her tactic worked, to her advantage.
Seeing Vanna's struggles, Zawynaias lightly kicked his sister's leg from his seat beside his red-headed twin. He turned his silver gaze to her through the corner of his eye. Vanna locked her gaze with him and then turned to look at Shiki, her cheeks back to their normal porcelain coloration.
She looked over to Shiki for a moment, and then to Namir, who had smiled at Raun's compliment. She had to hold back a laugh, as she'd seen this girl's given personality was a complete facade.
