Taylor bit her lip with indecision. She sighed, hoping that Makis would pa.ss out and maybe have enough self-control to not do anything while they were sleeping. "I guess you could and Maks doesn't hate you. He couldn't possibly hate you. I think he's just a bit angry with himself right now, but he'll get over it." Taylor said. She dropped the sheets on the tan, worn-out couch next to her, but kept the blanket and the pillow in her hand.

"Come on." She said, edging her way toward the stairs. She wrapped the blanket in her arms and walked the rest of the way up the stairs. She pa.ssed Maksis's room on her way through the hall and found that small cracks had formed around the wall around the door. Either he was that angry or he was just getting stronger with his new vampire strength. She juggled the pillow and blanket on her right arm and opened the door to the guest room. There, she set down the extra blanket and laid the extra pillow on the bed.

This room was blank because they rarely had guests. A small dresser and nightstand near the bed was the only furniture in the room. The wood of both the dresser and nightstand was a faded cherry and the walls were white. The floor was the same as most of the house; finished wood.

She sat on the edge of the bed and listened for her brother's snores in the room next to her, but heard nothing. He was still awake.

"Yes. Of course I do. We're not just remorseless killers with no humanity left.." Christian replied, thinking it was more a comment about whether or not vampires would care about others, rather than one focused on him seeming apathetic in general.

"I mean.. we don't have.. humanity, but we're..." This was the first time he seemed less than articulate. And then he suddenly reconsidered, adding quickly. "Wait, were you asking if I cared about anybody in particular, or if I just.. cared about anybody at all?"
She could've been asking if he had a girlfriend.

Taylor nodded when Seth tried to console her. Taylor took Seth's hug with grace, feeling for a moment that everything would be okay. She stepped out of the hug and sighed. "Thanks Seth. I'm sure Maks will be fine by tomorrow," She said and headed for the door. She hesitated for a moment, her hand resting on the doorknob. "Thanks Seth. I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't been there for Maks. Thanks for brining him back to me." She said before opening the door and exiting the room.

Taylor closed the door behind her and approached Maksis's room. She held her hand up, about to knock on the door, when a soft snore was heard through the hollow wood. She cracked the door open a bit and found Maksis asleep under the covers of his bed. His shirt was off and exposed, but she could see his jeans were still on because one of his legs was hanging off the bed. Moonlight illuminated the room because the curtains were pulled back.

She was about to close the door when she realized that with the curtains being open, sunlight would shine through in a few hours. She tiptoed into the room and closed the curtains quietly. Maksis stirred in his bed, but did not wake. She gave him one last look before exiting the room.

When she walked into her room, she found it as messy as it was when she left it. She sighed and picked up a few fresh pajamas from the floor and settled into her bed. She fell asleep quickly.

Crystal thought about what he had said for a moment.  She then realized that she had actually meant if he cared about anyone in particular.  Curse her stupid self, she sometimes says things without thinking.  And does things without thinking.  If only she hadn't stepped out of her house to try and save Isis, she should have thought a little more before taking action.
"Well, I...... sorta meant both." She said, at first slowly, then she finished up the last three words quickly.  She didn't want to admit to him what she really meant.
Now she started thinking about relationship.  Terrible.  Too terrible.  Somehow what he said brought some ridiculous thought to her mind.  What if she was with him too much and fell in love?  Nonsense, that would never happen, but truthfully she thought it wouldn't be too bad.  But that doesn't mean she has forgiven him for making her a monster, and she still hates him a little.

"No. There hasn't been anyone like that since I turned.." Christian said quietly. He didn't mind the question, he thought he understood why she'd be asking. She'd probably have to know if he was alone or not if she was going to be staying with him for any period of time. It was a natural question to ask. That was all he wrote it off as. He was looking out the window again, his eyes turned away from Crystal. His ex
pression was harder to read because he wasn't fully facing her.

He was making an effort to keep his voice controlled, emotionless. He clearly didn't want to reveal any more about this topic than he had to. And he was quick to change subject before she could reply.
"If you're feeling well enough we should get going."

"Okay." Crystal said, her mood still down.  It's not like you can get happy quickly when you hae recently became a terrifying monster.
"And i'm not going to kill every human I see out there, okay?" She said, glaring at him.  "At least I don't have an uncaring heart like yours, one that doesn't care when killing others."
Now she was back to complaining.  Again.  But at least the whole relationship talking was over.  She was pretty glad it was over, it was starting to get on her nerves.

Seth grinned at her as she left, then closed the blinds and flicked the lights off. It was pitch black in the room by this point, but she found her way easily back to the bed; it was the biggest thing in the small room.

Seth pulled back the thick covers of the guest bed and slipped in. The somewhat suffocating warmth was welcoming, as she had been shivering before. Turning on her side so that she was facing the door, Seth curled up, hands held close to her chest, and finally let her eyelids slide shut. Almost immediately, a black wave of unconsciousness washed over her. The rhythmic, if painful, pulsing of her wrist lulled her to sleep; Energy drinks have nothing on me at this point. Was her last thought before she was dragged into a dreamless slumber.

Christian sighed, exasperated.
"You're over-simplifying it.. You'll learn. Just come on," he said, going for his coat. Vampires were pretty resistant to cold, but it helped to blend in if he dressed about the same as most humans they might encounter. He didn't want to take her into anyone's house- if they really couldn't find anyone he'd definitely slip into a building and bring them back to her by himself. Hopefully that wouldn't be needed, of course. But then again, a good portion of the humans who felt safe wandering the streets at night were armed maniacs.

It wasn't that he just didn't care about killing people. It'd just.. been such a long time that he'd been at it. How could he possibly cope with killing so many if he didn't manage to distance himself from them in any way? If he felt remorse for every ounce of blood he drained? He couldn't go on. But he knew he had to..

"Fine." Crystal mumbled.  She didn't have her coat with her, it was at her house.  Thank goodness no one lived with her at her house; she was 18, grown up.

((Isis went into Crystal's house, about to be attacked by a vampire, after talking Isis went out again, Christian, a vampire, was about to attack her, until Crystal came out with a wooden stake.  Angel came, bit Crystal's hand, but then Christian attacked Crystal and brought her to an alley where no one else was.  He thought he had sucked her dry, but it turned out he hadn't and she was alive.  Actually, a vampire.  Now she's in his house, she complained, it went through tons of talking, and now she's about to go hunt. xD

Brian is with Aki, and he bit her in hopes that he could be with her forever.

Diamond is just walking around trying to hunt vampires and kill them.

And i'll let everyone else explain what their charrie's did; i'm only explaining the stuff that included my charries.  And Diamond is a human this time, not Crystal's pet dragon. xD))
