Christian watched as Maksis whisked Taylor out of Crystal's reach just in the nick of time, following along behind her at an even pace. He ignored the newcomer female vampire, thinking that she wouldn't  interfere, and fixed his narrowed, mismatched gaze on Maksis.
"Give it up. You can't possibly protect her from both of us," he said flatly. To make matters better, he'd cornered himself, so it didn't seem like Maksis would fare all that well in an even fight anyway. And two vs. one was nowhere near an even fight, even if Crystal had just been turned. Unless he was absolutely ancient he'd probably get torn apart.

He could hear the sounds of others gathering outside. Apparently they'd caused quite the commotion, if they were attracting attention from the street. Christian rather disliked that. It was just another reason to be completely merciless, and get out of there as quickly as possible.

(( o3o; Is it alright that I'm using the standard of vampires getting stronger as the age, and right after they have blood? I mean, there are lots of vampire myths, I just wanted to know if this one was wide-spread enough for everyone to think it's acceptable. If not I'll just shut up about it. )) 

Crystal glared at Maksis.  "It's not my fault I have to feed off innocents." She mumbled, the pain of hunger very strong.  The smell of fresh blood, and her terrible hunger, it was just too much.  And now some vampire was preventing her from getting food.  Whatever, she decided.  It didn't matter.  Now she would seriously attempt to kill herself, whether Christian tried to stop her or not.  How could she live like this, each night having to hunt?  What if she ended up in a situation like this again?  She missed her life as a human badly.

Brian followed after Aki.  "No, don't go in!" He yelled at her, now running too.

((Christian, I would prefer it if vampires didn't gain power as they age. :P  But i'm fine if they get more experienced or have more knowledge as they get older, as long as it's not strength. xD))

Maksis bared his fangs angrily at the girl. He eyed the other vampire warily; the male. He walked with a steady calm though the commotion seemed to be raising a crowd outside. He hoped there would not be any more vampires here tonight. He glared at the girl, Crystal, again. "You shall not feed here tonight. They belong to me," He said, backing up under the male's watch. He realized with dread that he had cornered himself, but what else could he do when he had to protect Seth and Taylor.

Crystal looked at Christian, then at Maksis.  "Oh okay whatever." She said, sounding somewhat happy.  "Not that I really wanted to feed." She was using all her energy to fight back the urge to bite Seth or Taylor, and her voice sounded weak.  She turned around, not caring what Christian was thinking or if he were staring at her.  She put one foot out the window, and climbed down the rope, trying to ignore the strong scent or blood.  Her grip on the rope was weak, and she eventually fell, but luckily grabbed on again in time, and slowly continued to climb down.

She didn't care if Christian would catch up or not.  If he didn't, she'd just kill herself or hide somewhere.  If she did, well then she'd try to live with her terror.

"Where do you think you're going!?" Christian immediately snarled as soon as Crystal looked like she'd head off. He stood there staring at the window, wide-eyed and stunned. He'd gone all this way for her and then she had the nerve to completely ditch him!? He didn't really want this fight- definitely not alone- but he didn't want to back down just because another vampire had asked him to either! He wasn't just going to skulk off, tail between his legs.

What was wrong with that girl!? "I can't.. believe this.." He breathed, glancing back to Maksis, letting his gaze wander towards the two humans he was protecting. "That stupid.. girl.." He seemed to be mostly talking to himself. The sun was coming up soon, and here she was denying food? She had to be dying of thirst by now! She had to get it through her head that she couldn't be so reluctant to kill.

He seemed to settled back down into reality, training his eyes on Maksis's once again.
"You should be happy to let someone else off your human friends, just so you don't get to them first," he growled, before abruptly lunging forward at Maks. His fangs were bared, out of aggression rather than intent to bite, one of his hands aimed straight for Maksis's neck. Even if he'd lost his own back-up, the other vampire still had cornered himself, it wasn't as if he'd be any good at dodging attacks. Maybe he could still deal with him quickly.
