Maksis dodged the vampire's hand and pulled Taylor down with him. Years of self-defense training from his father before he died kicked in and in that moment, Maksis aimed to strike Christain in the chest with an open palm.

Taylor eyed the vampire warily. The night was moving by quickly and Seth needed to be stitched up properly. She was prepared, though, when the vampire attacked. Maksis grabbed on her shirt and she ducked her head down as Christain's hand sliced through the air. Maksis had cornered himself, but he had trained himself to use his surroundings in any predicament.

"Dawn will be here soon. I suggest you leave before you get trapped here. That girl will probably die if you don't catch up with her," He growled, taking note that his alarm clock read 4 o'clock in the morning.

Christian took a step back from the force of taking the hit straight to his chest, wincing ever-so-slightly. It looked like this guy was well-versed in at least some form of human fighting. That seemed like an attack that would've been much more effective on a living person who could easily get the wind knocked out of him. But all this meant was that Maksis wasn't just messing around. That wasn't good for Christian. He didn't know how much this vampire could do.

He wouldn't have actually minded getting trapped here much if he could win this fight, and wipe out the vampire and the two humans he was protecting. Then he'd just toss Diamond out into the sunlight, lock up the house, and hunker down for the night. But there was no guarantee he'd be able to defeat Maksis, and, more importantly, there was a pretty good chance that Crystal would end up dying if left to her own devices. He didn't want that.

 "You're lucky that girl is so mind-numbingly stupid," he said quietly, with a slight smile, just as irritated by Maksis's resistance as he was by Crystal's impulsive exit. But he backed off, none-too-happy about it, and crossed the room swiftly to the window.

"See you later," he called over his shoulder, just a hint of venom in his tone, before nimbly jumping to the ground two stories below, unbothered by the height. He caught onto Crystal's scent quickly, even through the nearby vampires- who he all but ignored- and bound off to track her down. Hopefully it wouldn't take long. She couldn't have gotten that far..

Crystal continued walking, and stopped.  She noticed that the sun was coming up, and a look of great delight came onto her face.  "Yes." She whispered, staring at the sun with joy.  "Let the sun's rays burn me and end this terrible life." She stayed there, watching the sun.  It seemed like forever, but she didn't care.  She hoped that Christian wouldn't find her.

"You know what, I should go hide and come out when the sun comes up." She mumbled, getting tired of waiting.  She could smell Christian in the distance, and began to run towards a nearby cave.

Maksis stood protectively as he watched the vampire exit through the window with flourish. His knees trembled as the last trace of the vampire was gone and he fell to his knees. Taylor rushed out from behind Maksis and hurriedly closed the drapes to the window. "I'll go get some medical supplies and shut the drapes while I'm at it. Stay here with her," Taylor said, but Maksis grabbed her hand as she turned.

"I don't trust myself alone with her," He muttered and Taylor snatched her hand from his grasp and rolled her eyes. "You're such an idiot sometimes, Maks." She said before running out into the hallway. Maksis couldn't help but smile as she left. He turned back to Seth and his thoughts instantly turned sour. He scooped her up yet again and carried her across the room before setting her down on the bed. He sat next to her and unwound the belt. The blood seemed to have dried enough so that blood was not pouring from the wound, but left a steady swell that if rubbed off, would just come back. He let the blood sit, cluster, and dry so that the wound closed.

"Seth, can you feel something in your chest? I need to know if the bullet's still there," He said, leaning in close to her ear so she could hear.

 Aurora continued to follow him. She now had an emotionless ex
pression on her face that hardly no one could ever break to find out what she was feeling or thinking. She stuck her hands in the pockets of her long coat and watched him grow a little more cautious of her.

 Rage glanced back again, watching as her ex
pression grew emotionless. Huffing a sigh, Rage slowly came to a stop. He scanned the area, trying to find an empty glas.s bottle or something else he could use as a weapon, if need be, to find nothing. Curse the day when people quit littering, he thought.

Like, I could picture in my head some man squinting at the menu trying to read, and then he says, "Um, can I please get the Rage Happy Meal.....?" And the woman nods and soon comes back with some huge box labeled 'Happy meal', and the woman says.  ".....40...." And she sounds weak and has to take a deep breath since the box is so heavy.  "Bucks... please."  Then the man reaches into his pocket for 40 bucks, and he keeps searching with his hand in his pocket with a confused look on his face saying, "Where'd my 40 bucks go.....?" And then the woman, still struggling to hold the huge box, points to his hand with her foot and it turns out the man has been holding it the whole time.  Then he pays her the 40 box and she hands him the box, relieved to finally be able to stop holding the box. "Oh boy!" The man says, tearing open the box.  Then Rage pops out and starts strangling the man. xDDDDD))

Maksis pushed back her hair in an attempt to keep it away from the wound. "I know it hurts, sweetie. I know. I'm going to fix you, 'kay?" He asked, though did not expect an answer. He rubbed her cheek softly before he removed the T-shirt from the wound. It was in a nasty, puckered line with crusted blood around it. He could see the bullet, though faintly. It had gouged into her skin and he knew he wasn't getting it out with his fingers. He was no medic and had no idea what to do.

Taylor decided to pop into the room at that moment. She held a few towels and a first aid kit. She rushed into the room and set the supplies next to Seth. Her ex
pression soured as she saw the wound and she let out a gasp when she saw the bullet. "Maks...ah...I donn't know how to do surgery." She said.

Maksis held a hand up, trying to make sure she didn't worry Seth. "I know," He said quietly.
