What did he mean? Christian wasn't quite sure how to clarify, he didn't get it himself. He probably shouldn't have said that. He didn't know when had he started considering her as anything beside a burden, or why.

"You don't have to starve half to death like most fledglings do before they figure out how to hunt.. and I.. have someone else around," he said, slowing down towards the end of that sentence. That was it? He'd really thought of her as company? Wait, no, he had to take it back! He couldn't make himself sound lonely, that was too pathetic!

"It's safer that way," he quickly added. As if that was the reason. He'd been thinking of his safety, not how lousy it was to be a nameless person going from town to town, avoiding any contact with people because it was liable to get him killed.

(( Lawlbump. ))

"Well then go find someone else!" She cried out, still crying. "Because I don't want to see you or be anywhere near you!  And who cares if it's safer!  Just get away!"

"As soon as you're ready to leave, I'll let you," Christian replied quietly. He was just so utterly defeated, he couldn't argue against this girl. She seemed more keen to rip out his throat than to listen to a word he had to say.

"If you'd stop thinking that vampires are just soulless monsters for one second you wouldn't be thinking of killing yourself anymore. Until then I'm not leaving you alone.."
Maybe she'd want to listen to him if she thought it could get her away from him sooner. He actually felt a little regretful having to resort to a tactic that totally accepted the fact that she couldn't stand him, and use it as leverage. He would've much rather come to some sort of an understanding with her that'd make her not loathe him.
But when life gives you lemons.

He knew he shouldn't let it bother him, it was just hard to avoid.

Crystal finally sat up, wiping the tears from her eyes.  She had stopped crying out loud, but the tears still silently poured down her face.  She looked like a mess, with her wet face and all messed up hair...... and bloody clothes.  And she was still hungry.  After a while of glaring at Christian while the tears still poured down her face she got up and walked up to Christian.

"What makes you think i'll listen to you!?  I don't care how many times you try to convince me not to kill myself or get rid of the thought that vampires are soulless monsters, i'll always, i'll repeat that again, always know that i'm a monster.  But I might be able to let go of the thought to kill myself, just maybe." She said, her voice still a little cracked.

Then she lunged at him, wanting to attempt to beat him up.  But she doubted she would win, but even so, she was angry enough to try.

Christian had been caught completely off-guard, he hadn't even been looking directly at her. He was already knocked over by the time that he realized what was going on. Being beaten on was... bad and stuff... but his first reaction was to shield his face (because it was definitely his meal ticket xD). He hesitated for a split second, before lashing out towards one of her hands, trying to grab her from the forearm to avoid getting punched again.

"Don't be stupid- getoff!" He shouted quickly, an edge of anger in his tone. He was clearly working hard to control himself. He deep down knew losing his temper and actually fighting her off would be a major setback. But at the same time, it was pretty difficult to keep calm once someone had just set upon you to beat your face in like that.

He had grabbed one of her hands successfully, but she didn't stop.  With her other hand she swung a punch at his stomach.

There was only one distressed thought running through the red-head's mind. What kind of a crazy person can punch just as well with their off-hand as they could their normal hand!? She must've had.. practice with beating people into a pulp. Maybe she was psychotic. He was not particularly happy about this. It wasn't that he thought he was in any danger of really being beaten, severely or not- she was starving, and had just become a vampire. He figured he could've probably won a fight if he'd really felt any desire to fight her. He was just sort of upset that he'd just gotten punched in the stomach because it hurt and he wanted her to cut it out and play nice.

Christian winced as he took the punch. He then struck out to grab her other wrist and fully restrain her. Now this wasn't a compromising position at all. He had a struggling girl overtop of him and he was trying to hold onto her wrists.

And she'd definitely hit him in the face in the initial confusion when she'd jumped him, he could feel his eye stinging. Once he had a second to focus he could heal any damage, but still. Having to waste energy on healing himself because a girl had hit him..! It was pretty shameful. And immasculating.

When he grabbed her other hand she hissed, then realized something.  She used almost all her remaining energy for that crying and fighting, actually, technically all.  Now she was feeling extremely weak, and nearly, but Christian was holding her arms, so she didn't fall.  She was trying to stay conscious, and then she wondered if vampires ever could fall unconscious.  She doubted it.

Then she fell into unconsciousness.

((I'm not sure if vampires can actually fall unconscious, so...... xD)) 

Christian didn't immediately know what to make of the girl going limp in his arms. At first he thought it was some sort of ridiculous bluff, but in the next second he could hear that her breathing (*censored*uming they breathe..?) had slowed down. She'd really just p*censored*ed out. His heart skipped a beat when he realized she'd pretty much fainted on him. She'd used the last of her strength trying to punch him out. That said.. quite a lot about how much she hated him.

He finally managed to push himself up into a sitting position, gently pushing her off of himself after a second and laying her down on the cave floor. His eyes lingered on the unconscious vampire. She had to be starving. Changing over after getting all of that blood drained would've weakened her enough, but starving through that made it all the worse. He should have taken out that vampire back at the house and brought one of the human girls along so Crystal could've fed. He'd been stupid to go after her empty-handed.

He moved back so he could sit against the wall, beside the unconscious girl. From what he remembered of her as a human, when he'd first seen her, it seemed that turning into a vampire hadn't done much to change her appearance. Her eyes had already been that rich tone of red, although her skin probably was a little paler. She still had the same face.. apparently vampirism didn't do much to the features of someone who was already attractive enough. He let his eyes wander to the harsh light at the mouth of the cave, having to squint to see even a little ways out. He'd have a long time to wait..

Crystal had woken up a few times during the day, but kept fainting on and on.  And lucky for her she woke up when the sun had set.  Shockingly seeing no sun made her feel like the best thing in the world was happening.  ".... NIGHT!" She managed to cry out, and weakly started pulling herself towards the caves with her hands.  "Must.....get....." But then she fainted..... again.
