Crystal glared at him, and realized that basically everything she had wanted to complain about was already said and answered.  "Whatever." She muttered.  At least she wasn't going to burst into tears this time, but she was debating whether or not to try punching him again.  She was burning with anger, and just wanted all this to end. Now. 

Christian gritted his teeth and let the topic drop. He was getting absolutely nowhere trying to argue this. She couldn't be convinced that she retained all of her human thought and emotion, for some absurd reason. He knew that he'd probably go insane if he had to keep trying to convince her of it. She'd realize in time that vampires weren't everything she always thought them to be.. He just had to keep her alive long enough for her to figure it out.

"You still haven't told me what to call you," he said briskly. He still didn't know why it bothered him so much to have her think of him as a soulless monster. Maybe it was because somewhere that logic was driving her to kill herself, and he couldn't just standby and let that happen.

The trees eventually gave way to the suburbs again, and he took them down one of the most direct routes to her house that he could remember. He was still alert and on the look-out for any stray people wandering by, even though he seemed totally relaxed.

Crystal just glared at him.  "Like i'm really going to tell you my name." She snickered, rolling her eyes.  She wanted to punch him in the face hard.  He had wrecked her life, all because she made the wrong choice of going outside.  All on the same night of that freakish incident outside her window; the incident that kept her up.  The incident that gave her the impression that vampires were really creepy in many ways.

But now she was a vampire too, so saying that vampires are creepy would be saying that she's creepy.  Well, she might be creepy but she just doesn't know, but whatever.  And she was actually starting to believe that vampires weren't emotionless monsters who could care less about everything, but not enough to prevent her from complaining.

"Can't you just leave?  I'm fine on my own!" She said angrily.  She couldn't help complaining, especially when in some situation like this.

Christian just sighed and shook his head.
"You can't go because you'll kill yourself and you can't hunt to save your life anyway. And if you won't tell me your real name I'll just make one up."
His patience was wearing thin. He knew she only felt confident enough to go out on her own because she didn't care about surviving. If he'd been stuck with any normal fledgling vampire, they probably would have been struggling to learn how to live as a vampire, but not this girl. She was far too busy planning on ways to off herself.

"You'll be Cathy," he added, unable to keep the slight smirk off of his lips. The least he could do was tease her for being so stubborn. What could he honestly do wrong with her name, anyway?

Crystal fought the urge to not go screaming at him not to call her that.  Not that it was a bad name or anything, but she just disliked it when people called her things other than her name.  But too bad, her anger was already too high to fight the urge, so her anger won.  "THATS NOT MY DAMN NAME!" She screamed at him.  She usually didn't say curse words unless she was extremely angry like now.

"Let me die, let me die, let me die, let me die, let me die, LET ME DIE!" She screamed, and continued to repeat 'let me die'.  She was acting a lot like some immature kid now, but she didn't care.

Whoops. She hadn't reacted to that suggestion well at all.
Christian just sort of glanced back at her as she flipped out, at a loss on how to react to this. There were people sleeping, they were in a residential neighborhood. If she made too much of a commotion, it'd draw attention to them. It was safer to keep a low profile- especially with the prevalence of vampire slaying presently. By screaming like that she might actually have ended up getting her wish.

".. Cut it out," he muttered, having no real way to deal with this. If she wasn't going o give in- was never going to give in- then he'd eventually just leave her alone. Just like she wanted. But he was still holding out.

"Don't have to!" She snapped.  "Let me die, let me die, let me die, let me die, LET ME DIE!" She continued to scream.  "LEEEETTT MMMEEEE DDIIIEEEE!" She screamed at the top of her lungs.  She didn't care what would happen after this. She was way to angry to care, all she wanted was to scream at Christian and piss him off.  And she also wanted to tear his head off or do something extremely terrible to him.

She clenched her fist, then lunged at Christian.  She just wanted to beat the crap out of him.

Christian was actually pretty ready to be hit this time, so he lightly stepped aside and out of the way. It was easy to dodge an enraged girl in the middle of the wide open street. He saw a light in the nearest house flicker on, and then another one next door. This was by no means good.

"What's the matter with you!? You're like a little kid! You're throwing a tantrum??" He cried, nowhere near as loud as she was being. He was pretty distressed, though, and seriously considering leaving her here to get killed by some crazy gun-toting wannabe vampire slayer. He couldn't deal with this at all, and he'd made up his mind that Crystal was insane and had the capacity to express emotions on the same level as a three-year-old.

Crystal was about to charge at him again, but she stopped herself, realizing what she did.  "........ Sorry." She said, embarras.sed.

Maksis smiled, though he doubted that Seth could tell in the darkness. He could see everything in the room with perfect clarity, as if it were light though it did not sting his eyes. He leaned forward and brushed his lips against Seth's forehead in a small kiss. "I hope you're not in too much pain because of me, but I'm glad you saved me." He said softly before pulling away. He stood up for a moment before walking the short distance to the bed.

The hum of Taylor's fan made him drowsy as he pulled her comforter over himself. As he settled in, he closed his green eyes and blocked out the world. The hum of the fan became a blur as he slipped into a world of peace where he could forget about being a vampire and forget the turns his life had taken. He did not notice, but his face relaxed and the stressed and tortured look he had worn for the past two weeks dissappeared, replacing it with the old, care-free Maksis.

Taylor looked around the room with a satisfied gaze. She had completely scrubbed the blood from Maksis' carpet. She had changed his sheets which had been splattered with blood and had also scrubbed the wall where Maksis had made quite a mess with the other girl, Diamond. She had found a whole gla.ssfull of Seth's blood sitting on her nightstand. She remembered her friend's request to fill the cup and boy, was she surprised when she found it on the nightstand. It was still surprisingly warm and she had covered it and stuck it in the fridge downstairs before the blood could dry.

She hefted the pile of bloody towels she had used to clean up the mess and trudged down the stairs with the lot. She then stuffed them in a garbage bag, tied the top, and set the mess outside in the garage.

When she was finished with putting away all of the disinfectants and cleaners, she locked the front door and turned the lights off in the house. With a small sigh, she pulled the sheets from the couch over her head and rested her head against the pillow. She fell asleep quickly.

((I just realized something, since Seth and Taylor can age while Maksis can't then when Taylor is like, 80, Maksis would still be young. xD

Christian was hesitant to believe that she'd actually calmed down so quickly. Then again, it only took her a slit second to fly off the handle like that, so maybe it was more believable that her shift in mood would be sudden like this.

"Just come on," he said quietly, starting away. His pace was pretty quick, as he wanted to be out of this area as soon as possible. The streets were only illuminated by the odd streetlight here and there, so he was hoping that whoever had seen them hadn't gotten a good enough look at them to ever recognize them in the darkness.

He didn't say another word until they got to Crystal's house, at which point he stopped abruptly, looking at the building from across the street. It looked so peaceful, as if nothing could ever go wrong or disturb it. Only last night the gruesome scene of two vampires attacking had played out- but by now there wasn't a single indication that that had happened. It just looked like a house with sleeping people in it on a clear, cool, breezy night, something right out of some home and garden magazine.

And then he remembered something rather important.
"That girl from the night before, do you know her?" Crystal hadn't mentioned her at all, so he hadn't thought that they were related. But they had to be at least friends, right? They were in the same house. But she hadn't seemed the least bit worried about this other person. Maybe she'd just forgotten about her, far too caught up fussing about being a vampire herself.
