Shiara looked up at Midnight. "My brother was mauled for defending his mate. Well, I think she's his mate, anyway. I smelled his blood, ran to help, and attacked Cinder. He broke my leg and bit my throat. My throat doesn't hurt too bad." She moved her leg and winced. It was at a strange angle. Maxx ran up to Alpha. "Where is the snake that bit him?" He demanded of Dawn, who hadn't answered Calyx.

Calyx turned to Maxx. " A C-coral snake bit him Maxx..... " she whined. " what can we do?! " she snapped worriedly.

"Hmm..." He considered the snake. Venom traveled to untainted flesh, so... "I... um... maybe cut up the snake and press the flesh against the wound to draw it out?" ((lol sound familiar anyone?))

((It's a scarlet snake. Scarlet Snake (Cemophora coccinea): Another fairly small (to 2 feet) red, black, and white snake which somewhat resembles the venomous coral snake. Scarlet snakes have a red snout and a series of red blotches or spots, outlined by black. They do not have a black snout, or red rings touching yellow rings, like the coral snake. This is a very common snake that burrows in sandy habitats. It is secretive and seldom encountered.))
