"Calyx, do you want those needles out? Quickly is the best way, otherwise it really, really hurts." He waited for a response before he tried to remove the needles.

Shiara smiled; she liked Midnight. He was nice. "Nice to meet you."

Shiara grinned back. I'm so bad at this! She thought. She awkardly shuffled her paws, looking down.

"Well, I won't do it unless you agree, but it will hurt more in the morning..." Maxx said, waiting.

Maxx gripped one of the needles, and pulled quickly. This one came out more easily than the last. "You okay still?" He asked.

"Yeah." Shiara said, laughing with him.

He realized how horrible of a person he was. He ran to his den. He howled, and it sounded like the cry of a god. A god who needed his godess. But was too afraid to be with her, because he never experienced love before, and it overwhelmed him.

The deafening noise of silence cloaked the air.

Alpha raised an ear.

The shrill bleat of rifles arose in the air. He knew this was the humans.

He had little to live for now that love had killed his heart. He didn't want the humans to find the pack, so he ran towards them. He couldn't live without his love, he couldn't let his pack down. So he ran towards the men.

When he reached the hunters, he realized they weren't hunters at all. They had stun guns. He realized he was doomed to the zoo. He tried to flee, but it was too late. The sleeping darts attacked him, and he layed down, stiff from their toxins.

The men smiled. They had caught a wonderful specimen. e would make a fine addition to the zoo.

They dragged him away, slowly.

By the time they had finally reached their van, Alpha was barely conscious.

He looked at Dawn in the distance, with the corner of his eye.

"The pack won't miss me at all," he told himself.

But he knew it was a lie.

"Stay with us," Maxx suggested. "We won't have a problem with it." He turned his head. "Alpha!" He cried, seeing the men drive off with him.

Dawn's head shot up as she heard guns go off. They weren't far away at all, she realized. She jumped to her feet, running hard and fast to see what had happened. She skidded to  halt in a clearing. Two-legs were lifting a hurt and almost uncontious Alpha into their moving machiene. "No!", she howled, her ears pressed back against her head, her teeth bared in a feral snarl. She lunged at the men, jumping aboard he vehicle and protecting Alpa from them.

 "So, do you want to, you know, date for a while?", Midnight asked, growing even more nervous.

Alpha smelled a lovely smell. Of pine, of wolf, of home. He was so intent on it that he was oblivious to the rumble of the moving van.

His eyes were still paralyzed closed.

He felt a furry ob
ject, and kissed it, thinking it was Dawn.

He never relized it was actually Calyx.

Dawn tried her best, but couldn't stop the van. They pushed her aside. The van zoomed away, going to a zoo, only a mile or two away.))
