Skyelar answered with a nod, and walked over to the take out place, taking Cain along with her. She could feel something strange that wasn't there yesterday. She didn't want to know what it was. All she wanted to know is that it had something to do with Cain.

She looked over at Cain and said, "You buying, or do you want me to pay?" She didn't really care who bought the food. It wasn't going to be expensive anyway. Nevertheless, she still asked, because any guys that had ever taken her on a date, which was once in a blue moon, had gotten offended when she bought the food. She knew this wasn't a date, but she didn't want to give Cain any more reason to hate her.

She startled him when she asked about the food, but he refused to let it show on his face. She was treating this like it was a date, but he didn't want to be rude and say they should both just pay for their own food. He fished a couple of twenties out of his pocket and looked down at her. "I got it," he said.

The restaurant-style place was italian and the smells coming from the kitchen were actually good. He led her over to the line and ordered a chicken parmesan sandwich and told the person taking their order that Skyelar was with him. "Are you alright, Sky?" he asked softly, surprising himself. He waited for her to give the order and reply.

Skyelar was sort of in a daze. She looked back at Cain, nodded, and then turned to order her food. "I'll just take a sweet tea and a salad." Sky kept the order simple and small, because she still wasn't all that hungry. The grand total of her meal: a whopping $2.00.

Sky pulled some money out of her pocket anyway, and handed it to Cain. It was two dollars and some change to cover the tax. She was going to pay for her own food, even though Cain said he'd handle it. She didn't want to seem like the kind to make a person buy everything for her. The thought made her shudder slightly.

She thought of what Fenrir was doing, letting a small smile crawl onto her lips. No matter what was going on in her life, Fenrir could always make her smile.

Cain took the money from her and handed it to the cashier wordlessly, along with his own. "I'll take that as a yes," he muttered, his earlier question if she was okay being ignored. He grabbed his sandwhich which was wrapped in tin foil and gestured with his chin toward a table in the eating area. Without waiting for Skyelar, he headed over to the table and sat down.

Skyelar walked quietly over to the table, not saying a word. She was afraid that she would mention Sara, and that the very name would remind her how much she wanted to pound that chick's face in.

Shaking the thought away, Sky sat down. She ran a hand through her hair, and began to eat her food, which she had grabbed before she walked to the table after Cain. After about ten bites of the leafy greens, she just twirled her fork around, occasionally sipping her tea.

"So... This dance stuff isn't as hard as I thought it would be," Sky said quietly.

Cain ripped some of the bread off with his teeth and frowned slightly when he missed the chicken itself. He swallowed once and watched Skyelar eat her food before tilting his head back to scan for any sign of Sara. She was, thankfully, eating with the rest of the crew, but he saw her shoot him a few envious looks, mostly directed at Sky.

He only rolled his eyes and bit into his food again. This was why he never associated himself with girls, or people for that matter. Idiots. "So...This dance stuff isn't as hard as I thought it would be." He swallowed when Sky talked and shrugged. He didn't expect the small talk, though he should have.

"Guess not. You looked like you've danced before," he commented.
