Cujo froze dead, closing her eyes. She couldn't possibly believe what Lunus had said. "Lunus... Can I ask you a question?" She tried to handle her disappointment in a way that wouldn't break them further apart, but she was struggling.

Lunus lashed his tail and turned around to face her. His yellow eyes peirce into her's, "What is it?" he asked. "If you are trying to get me to kill Whitetail, you're no better than Whitetail herself when she left me, so whatever your question is about the whole 'let's get rid of Whitetail forever plan', leave me out of it." There was pain in his eyes. He was so tempted to rub his head on Cujo and entwined his tail with her's, but he couldn't do that. His paws didn't allow it.

Cujo shook her head. "No, no... I wanted to ask if you were... You know, back to normal? Like when I first met you. I've noticed that you've been a bit... Off, since you came to the Mesa." She shrunk backwards, just in case that would set him off. "Lunus, you haven't been like yourself lately. I know I've only known you for three moons, but I know when something's wrong." Cujo couldn't help showing that she was scared, worried, or even terrified.

Lunus stared at her and flicked his ear. "And what is normal?" he asked. "How am I off? I've always been the same I have always been." He was confused, and worried that he had upset Cujo. He didn't want to upset her. She was his friend, and he had a crush on her. If everything was falling apart because of Whitetail... ooooh he'll have he neck.

Cujo shook her head. "Never mind." She turned around and padded back to the wharf, with that cloudy look in her eyes she got when worried. She curled up and covered her nose with her tail.

Lunus dipped his head and followed Cujo. He sat down next to her. "Please explain," he said quietly. "I just don't understand anything in this world."

Piroshki continued to scamper up ahead, "Just follow me, da?" he shouted back over his shoulder. He was leading Shadow to a place where he thought she might like. He wanted her to cheer up a bit, be more happy.

"When we were talking about Whitetail. What you've said? How she opposes the 'nonexistent thing called love'? I've tried to help you. But now I see there's no point."

Lunus's tail lowered and he padded to Cujo. "You can't really change you I am." he replied. He butted her with his head and purred against her pelt. "Please don't be mad at me. You have helped me, just not in the way you think you did."
