Cujo leaped out of the water. She had enough of this. She leaped on the cat and pinned him out, hissing back. "Listen, bucko. I don't care how much of an idiot you think I am. Do you realise how badly I could injure you right now? And guess what, I haven't so far, and I won't. Go run that through your peewee brain. How many cars are you going to jump in front of until you finally realise what a stupid jerk you're being. I've been nice to you, and all you do is nag nag nag about my supposed mate. No. If you have a problem with me, why don't you just say it like a big boy instead of sending me second perspective threats. I DON'T CARE! I don't care, I don't care! If you still want to be a jack, just insult me now!" She growled, waiting for his oh-so-bold responce.

Cujo snarled back. "Hey chump, I don't know what your problem is! You're the one who's blind! You don't even know that you're already dead! Either stop acting stupid or face it like a man! I have never met anyone with an ego tutu as big as yours!" She lowered her voice almost to a whisper. "You're dead. I'm dead. If you're not there already, then there's no way your friggin' tail is going to heaven OR the other way! So you better get your act together or I'll make you wish you were a human."

Cujo took a deep breath in and looked Lunus in the eye. "Love is a feeling you get for a close family member or significant other. It is the very reason our species stands to this day. It is the one thing all of us value more than anything in the world. I did not die of love. I know the reason you tried to kill yourself is because of love. You were betrayed, weren't you? So happy and sweet, then one false move by someone else and this is what you became. You felt like dust, unloved and unwanted? I've had that feeling. But unlike you, I went on. I became stronger, I didn't give up like you. Why won't you move on? I've got it. You're afraid to change, because you are afraid you will be hurt again. That you will only feel worse. But you don't know... You don't know that what doesn't hurt you, makes you stronger."

Cujo leaped onto the sidewalk before a car came. "I know it's hard. But remember, I can help you get through this. If you need me, you'll find me at the docks." She padded off toward the lake, where the wharf was. Well, she still needed to cross the street.

Cujo arrived at the wharf, sitting at the edge of the dock and staring into the water at her reflection. She then lay down, purring softly. Inside her head, she was speaking to her mother. I can't believe you still care about my curfew. What? I passed it? Geez, fine. She curled her tail around herself and eventually fell asleep, occasionally kicking one of her hind legs.
