I yawned and padded out of my den, looking around. Was it already Sunhigh? I stretched my stiff muscles, yawning. Hmmm. What was my excuse for being tired all day? Oh yeah! Some herbs are best gathered at Dusk, so I didnt run the risk of the Twoleg dogs that were inside at night. It was partially true, since we had a rising dog problem lately. I padded over to the freshkill pile and pulled out a mouse. But what was Lynxheart's excuse? Well, he did go on every dusk patrol, so his exuse was he was resting so he could stay out later on the patrols. Another half-truth. And besides, he was always awake before me anyway, so what did I have to worry about? Certainly not getting caught!

I smiled at Wolfstorm, "Morning!" I looekd at the sky, still not Sunhigh, good, I wasnt that late to wake. I looked at a cloud and saw the face of a cat looking down on me and I felt a wave of guilt. StarClan was not pleased. Oh well. I took my mouse and lay next to Wolfstorm, nibbling on it peacefully, "I see the prey is running," i nodded my head to the large freshkill pile, "must make being a warriors THAT much easier huh?" i said, making small talk.

Lynxheart opened his dark green eyes, but it took some time to get them used to the dim light of the Warrior's den. He raised his head and licked the tip of his bushy tail which lay in front of his nose. Getting to his paws, he streatched, yawning wide. Flicking the tip of his brown tail, he padded out of the den. The sun immediantly beat down on his back.

"Sunhigh?" he asked to himself as he looked up at the sun's position. His shoulder's dropped slightly before he went to the fresh-kill pile. Dreamsplash and Wolfstorm were already there. Nodding in greeting, he glanced at Dreamsplash before picking out a thrush by the neck. Padding a few tail-lenghts away, he started to eat.

Lynxheart noticed Dreamsplash hide a purr by biting into her mouse. He twitched his whiskers in amusement before taking a bite out of his thrush. Knowing, she would treat him like an ordinary Warrior during the day, he had to treat her with the respect that a Warrior should give a Medicine Cat. He sighed and continued his meal.

Lynxheart looked up from his almost gone thrush to glance at Wolfstorm while licking the right side of his upper jaw. "Yes, Wolfstorm," he meowed politely. His eyes glittered slightly.
