The street lamps shined softly on the empty streets. The dim yellow lights illuminating the figure a girl walking by herself in the darkness. Her feet softly hitting the pavement. "Milk, eggs, sugar, peanut butter..." she said softly as she looked down at the list her mother gave her. She tucked the grocery list into her pocket and poped up the collar on her black trench coat.

A car rolled by, over a puddle, splashing her legs slightly. She groaned slightly, and continued on the street. She suddenly heard foot steps fall behind her. She turned her head and a couple of people walking behind her. She sighed, and moved some hair out of her face. After she turned the corner she noticed the people were still there. She forced her blue eyes away. Alright Aven, calm down. They're not folowing just going to the store. She hugged her arms across her chest and quickened her pace. She heard the feet behind her quicken their pace too. She spun her head and, then turned back and broke into a jog. They followed. She sprinted into a run, she was just about to cross the street when a van pulled up infront of her. She stepped back and she felt hand grab her from behind and place a cloth over her nose. Everything faded to black.

When she awoke she was on a rather comfortable bed. She sat up to see she was in some sort of room. It was too fancy to be a warehouse, so they weren't going to experiment on her, or so she hoped. She got up off the bed, and walked up to the door, she turned the handle but it didn't opened. She chewed her lip. Don't panic, Aven, don't panic. She thought as she paced the room. She closed her eyes, as she felt the up rising panic. She took in a deep bretah and the door opened. A woman came in. "Well, why don't you sit down dear. It'll be fine. Your partner will be here soon." Then the woman left.

Aven sat down on then end of the bed. She had no idea what was happening, this was so confusing. And Aven didn't work well like that. So because of her fragile nature, she began to cry.

((Then end was a bit of a fail.))

Brian was already captured, and he was on his bed.  Of course didn't sleep, he just liked to sit on that bed because it was comfy.  He was captured today, but he wasn't so worried like many people were.  He overheard people talking about partnering up with humans, and bringing peace.  He wasn't sure if that was true, though.  But he hoped it was.  He'd rather be paired up with a human then find out of the group was bad.

Suddenly, the door opened which made Brian immediately look at the door.  A man was there, and motioned for Brian to come.  "We've got you a partner." The man said, sounding gruff.  Brian wondered if he was always like that.  Brian got off the bed and followed the man.

Soon they were at a room, and the man pushed Brian inside of the room.  "Be good to your partner." And then the man walked away, not bothering to look behind him.  Brian was staring at the man, then glanced at the girl and waved shyly.

"I'm your partner." He said, smiling.  But he wasn't smiling large enough for Aven to see his fangs.  If he showed them to her she'd probably be terrified of him, and he didn't want that.  And he didn't want that bear-like man to come in here and ask him what happened.  Brian could fight him back, but he just dislike that man.

Aven looked up when she heard the door, open. She quickly wiped away some of her tears. But it's not like she could stop crying that easily. She sniff, and saw a boy walk in and waved. She looked away and wiped her eyes some more. Then she heard him say something about being her partner.

"Partner?" She said turnind her wet blue eyes back to the boy. She wiped one more time. She probably looked like a mess. Her eyes were slightly red from the tears and wiping, so was her nose.  "What do you mean?" she asked as she wiped her eyes once more. She  pulled her legs up, making her look like a child.

"Thats not going to work." Eric told her calmly, this human made him feel emotions that he hadn't felt for a long time. Sadness. Pity. He didn't like these feelings. He wanted to make them go away, and to do that it looked like he was going to have to make her feel better. 

"Did they tell you anything? When they brought you here? Anything at all?" He asked. Looking at her quietly. 

((Woah. xD))

"I don't really know either." Brian said, feeling slightly embarras.sed.  "They told me that you're my partner, and I overhead them talking about pairing up-" He paused, he didn't want her to know he was a vampire.  "People to bring peace." He said quickly.  He doubted he made much sense, but that was the only thing he could think of to say.

Brian walked closer, and sat next to her.  "Don't be afraid.  I won't hurt you." He said, smiling.  If he were to be partnered up with her then he better be nice.  If he wasn't nice that man would come.  But he isn't just being nice because he doesn't want to get into trouble.  It's because he's kind, not a mean guy. 

"Bring peace? Whats thats supposed to mean?" Aven muttered to herself. It didn't make much sense, how was kindnapping people and partnering them up making peace? She looked down at her hands, not really paying attention to the boy, at least not until he started moving.

Her eyes watched in carefully as he made his way over and sat next to her. Now, because of her deer like nature her eyes widened and she automatically moved away from him and rested her back againt the head bored up the bed, as she pulled her knees up to her chest. Something was off about him, she didn't know what but something just wasn't right.

Brian shook his head.  "You're scared, aren't you?" He asked, sounding disappointed.  He went closer to her again, and stroked her back.  "Please trust me, I won't hurt you." He insisted.  What if she found out that he was a vampire?  That would be terrible.  But he just hoped she wouldn't, because then she'd be even more scared then she already is.

Then the bear-like man came into the room.  "Everything all right?" He asked, his voice still gruff.  Brian nodded quickly, wanting the man to leave.  The man gave had a suspicious look on his face, but he left without any questions.  Brian sighed in relief as soon as the man closed the door and locked it.

Aven flinched slightl when he touched her but remained still. It's not that she could ran away even if she wanted too, although she did, she juts wanted to run all the way home. She looked up when a man entered the room. She sat up straighter hoping he would take the boy away and leave her to cry. But all he asked was if things were alright. She was about to opened her mouth to say no and question him, but the boy already answered and the man left.

She chewed her lip and looked at the boy. "Why are you being so nice?" she said in her soft voice. People were usually nice to her, because of her child like fragile demenor. He seemed to genuinly care, in a way that sort of freaked her out. Most people tolerated her, then left when she re treated, no one, besides her mother acutally got close after. Especially people who's names she didn't know.

"Because i'm not a jerk who's mean to innocent people." Brian said, still smiling.  "And i'm Brian, sorry for not introducing myself earlier." He wondered when she would stop being scared, but he doubted it would happen soon.  But he can't blame her, it's not her fault that she's scared.  Probably most people who are captured would be acting the same way.

Aven looked up for a moment, then back down. "That makes abosolutly no sense." she sighed, as she un crossed her legs. She got off the bed and realized that she was still wearing her coat. She quickly took it off, and threw it onto a chair, she began to pace the room. Partner up, to bring peace? She looked at him for a second, suddenly remembering how whenever he started talking about about the partnering he cut himself off. He was hiding something. She turned away again and began to inspect the room.

Brian sighed, and wondered how he was supposed to get along with her.  "Is there anything you want to do?" He asked, attempting to talk with her again.

Aven bit her lip. "Not really. I don't think theres anything in here anyways." she said as she scanned the rooms. She walked over to the door and tried opening it again, but the man had locked it. She sighed and looked at him. A sudden idea poppinf into her head. "Do you think they're monitoring us?" she asked.

((I have no idea what to do with her. She not a very social person XP))

"I don't know." Brian said.  "Maybe.  But I doubt it."

Aven raised an eyebrow. "When I shrugged you off, the man just suddenly decided to come in." She said as she walked over to a vase. "Isisn't that strange to you?" she asked her paranioa suddenly deciding to kick in. "They have to watching, I mean why would you lock to people in a room, for no aparent reason if it wasn't to watch them." She knocked the vase off the table, it shattered loudly. She bent over to inspect the peices. "Nothing in there..." She muttered as she stood up staight. She chewed her lip, and looked around the room. "May its somewhere else." She said as she walked over to a lamp.

Brian rolled his eyes.  "I'm losing my patience.  And stop breaking things." He didn't know what to do.  He got captured, and now he's been paired up with some human who isn't kind.  If only someone would come in, he could ask them.  And he was getting hungry too.  He didn't want to bite Aven, and feeding on animal blood wasn't healthy for vampires.  At least it kept them full for a while.

Just the man came into the room.  "What is going on here?" He asked angrily, noticing all the broken stuff.  "Did he hurt you?" He asked Aven. 

Aven jumped when she heard the door open. She turned to see the man, he looked really mad. She chewed her lip and looked down. "Oh I'm soo sorry sir. I"m such a clutz." she said softly. "I tripped on the rug and knocked the vase over." she motioned to the rug close to the vase. "I feel sooo bad." she said her eyes begining to water. She hoped the man would feel guilty. She wiped her hands. "Um, Mister, if you don't mind me asking, are you going to bring me food, I'm getting really hungry." she said turning her large blue eyes up to him. She knew about her whole defenseless, childish demeanor and she had learned to work it to her advantage, and most of the time it worked.

((All the broken stuff? It was just the vase, she didn't break the lamp...yet XD))

((Also would you prefer if humans only turned into vampires if the vampire gave them their blood, or if the vampire drank all their blood they'd become a vampire?  Theres two legends about vampires, and they're both different, so I was wondering which one you'd prefer me to make Brian be based on.

And the biting one isn't Twilight.  Twilight is if they bite them, the real legend is if they drink all their blood.)) 

"Which food do you want?" The man asked kindly, handing Aven a menu that tells what food they serve.  It wasn't canned food, it was good-quality food.  Maybe even gourmet food.  Luckily it didn't say 'blood' on the menu.  They didn't put it there to prevent the humans from being terrified of their partner.  If the vampire got hungry they'd just have to ask.

Brian was about to ask the man for food because he was hungry, but then he realized that Aven would've found out that he was a vampire.  Now there was no way that he could get food.
