Teresa entered the change room and switched into a pair of gym shorts and a loose t-shirt before exiting again. The coach was already speaking in a loud, demanding voice to the small crowd leaning against the walls and tying their shoes.
Apparently the cla.ss was going to play soccer outside. She didn't recognize the term, but from the black and white ball she knew they were going to play football.
Teresa smiled. It was a common sport for her and the kids in her old town.
"Get out on to the field and seperate yourselves into teams." He gestured quickly towards the door that led outside.

Aaron quickly got changed then ran outside with everyone else. They were going to play soccer, his favorite sport, he smiled to himself thinking this wouldn't be too bad. The coach pciked captains someone named Megan and then Teresa.

"Teresa and Megan will be the captains, so both of you pick your teams. Teresa first."
O-kaaaay. It was an odd method of sorting teams, but it was reasonable.
She glanced at the array of students that waited.
"Aaron." She said, meeting his eyes for a moment.
The coach snorted quietly at her right. "Good choice, how did you know he was good at soccer?"
Teresa didn't reply, instead picking the rest of her team in turn with the girl named Megan.

Ash finally got there. She stood there. "Sit anywhere," the teacher said. Ash took a seat at one of the desks. The teacher handed out some papers. She looked at it. It was graphing and equations.

((I think we are all dead lol)) Aaron went over to Teresa and stood at the front of her line. After Megan and Teresa were done picking teams the two teams seperated, and went to opposite sides of the field. "Who's got what position, boss?" Aaron said with a smile at Teresa.

Teresa eyed Aaron, then smiled back. "You and I can be forward, Jared can be our sweeper, Julia is goalie..." She declared the rest of the positions on whim and a quick glance at their physical structures; it wasn't like she knew how well they played.
She glanced at the coach as he made his way outside, and motioned for her team to follow. This, she was comfortable with. It wasn't very different from how she had played in her old town.
On the field, a challenging grin appeared on her face as she faced Megan. "Get in position." She told her team as the coach set the ball in front of her and the opposite team.
The coach blew the whistle.

Aaron went to the left feild, guessing he was the left forward. He got into playing postion and waited for his favorite game to start. ((big fail))

The sound of the whistle rang shrilly in Teresa's ears, and she found the ball flying at her at a terrifying speed, skimming along the ground. She used her feet to stop it for a bare moment before running forward with it at her toes. She slipped through two oncoming defenders only to be met by a third; the team's sweeper.
Without thinking Teresa kicked it to her left, straight at Aaron. A quick glance told her that a defender was already running at him.

Aaron quickly stopped the ball with his foot and faked going left then ran to his right dribbling the ball with his feet. Seeing another teamate open he pa.ssed her the ball and he ran toward the goal.The other team ignored Aaron since he no longer had the ball but the girl he gave the ball to pas.sed it to him. He kicked it so hard that the other team's goalie jumped out of the way, giving a point to Teresa's team.

"Goal!" Teresa yelled with excitement when the ball slammed into the net. A few whoops and cheers came from her team, while the opposite team proceeded to make angry comments at the goalie, who had actually avoided the ball.
"Nice shot." Teresa called to Aaron as the goalie flung the soccer ball out onto the field once more.
(( I'm going to time skip to lunch otherwise this is going to take a while. xD ))
According to her schedule, it was her lunch break. Over an hour of... nothing. So far the cla.sses had been bearable; a little confusing, but she knew the basics now.
Teresa, not bothering to head to the cafeteria- it was far too crowded for her liking- struggled towards the front doors and pushed them open.
The difference was incredible. She still had no idea how cold air was filtered in to the school when outside it felt like she was melting. She could see heat waves in the air.
She darted to the right and turned around the corner of the school. It seemed like a whole new place there, quiet and sunny. Teresa leaned against the school wall and closed her eyes.

((K, I will dust)) Aaron tried to walk to luch but there was a crowd going the other way so it was hard. Soon enough he got there and spotted Teresa. He waved to her and motioned her to follow him. He sat at a table with a small group of people, they weren't popular or nerds, just average. Since this was his third day at this school he didn't have much friends but people were slowly beginning to accept him.

Before long, Teresa felt someone's gaze on her. Her eyes snapped open and she peered through the window beside her. Aaron was standing there, waving her over. She frowned and turned away from the window, not moving from her position against the school wall, and closed her eyes once more.
After a few moments she almost decided to go sit with him and his friends anyway, but winced at the thought of sitting in a cluster of students. Cla.ss was bad enough; at least no one was talking to her there.
She sighed quietly to herself. I have to get this over with. It's not like I can avoid them forever.
At least Aaron would be there. She was sure that he wouldn't bring up the topic of her past, at least not in front of others.
Finally, after making Aaron wait for ten minutes, she detatched herself from the school wall and stepped back inside, heading to the cafeteria.
The atmosphere was different there. She felt oddly comfortable, since no one was paying her any heed. Unnoticed, unimportant. She blended in.
Teresa approached his table, which had a few other guys occupying it as well. They all gave her greeting glances as she sat down beside Aaron.
"Are these your friends?" She asked him, not caring if the others heard her question.

"Yea. This is Jake, Forest, Jared, Alisha, Anistashia, Luaren, and Lucus." he said, motioning to each of them in turn. "Group, this is Teresa. She just moved here, why don't we make her feel welcome? There is a seat next to me." he told her and patted the seat to his right,"It's alright, I won't give you cooties."

Teresa shot him a halfhearted glare, though she wasn't really angry. Frankly she was surprised that he hadn't just ignored her altogether, considering the fact that she had just stormed off earlier.
She took the seat between Aaron and Jared, but made sure there was some space between her and Aaron.
"It's a pleasure to meet your acquaintances." She said, accidentally slipping into the slightly more formal language she was used to. She rested her elbows on the table and plucked a fry off of Aaron's tray, taking a small bite of it. It was salty, but surprisingly good. "These are decent." She remarked, popping the rest into her mouth.
