She looked at her bald eagle self and took to the skies. "Come back!" She yelled at the creature in the sky. "We're not going to hurt you." She said with a snort. "As you can see, we have powers, too and we need some help. Please just listen." She said.

Amber growled slightly. I do NOT want to go back. But she look's relentless. She thought. Flapping her wings and diving down back towards the canopy. She looked back and saw the top of the School peeking out through the tree's a few miles back. The sight made her stomach burn.

Taylor closed her wings and rocketed toward the ground. She hovered there for a moment before she dropped out of the air in her human form. She glanced at Luke, whom was still in the clearing. "Look." she said. "A war is coming between our kind and the kind that wants to experiment on us, use us in a war. All that fun stuff. Truth is, we need soldiers." A chill went up her spine when she said that and she shivered. "So, are you game to protect our kind. If not, I will not chase you if you decide to leave again." Taylor stood waiting for the girl's answer.

Taylor looked down hopelessly. She then looked up, anger in her chocolate eyes. "Do you realize that if you were here to help us, we may be able to save another life?" She said, her eyes burning. "If you would help us and commit yourself, one of our own may be saved and maybe no one would perish, but if you wish to protect yourself, fine." She said, spitting the words at her. She stalked away, leaving the strange girl alone.

"Coward." Taylor hissed at her. "Selfish, untrustworthy coward." She muttered under her breath. Taylor stalked into the opening of the trees, leaving the girl behind. She walked out of the trees, steaming and wishing that they actually had a chance of beating these people.

Xhaos stepped out of Ms. Darks's room, her pale figure ghostly in the faint light of the hallway. Her violet eyes flicked to the sides as she shut the door carefully, a mournful creak emanating from it. She strode purposefully to the left, wincing and blinking as she walked through a second door, which led to the courtyard.

Xhaos slipped into the forest, her black-clad body swallowed up by the growing shadows. She gave a small sigh of relief as she felt the soothing presence of the forest, her tense muscles relaxing. Padding softly through the trees, she heard voices up ahead. Luke and Taylor, she thought, her heart thumping. What....what if I lose control again? she thought in anguish as the voices drew nearer.
