Xhaos felt a prickling sensation at the back of her neck just as she entered Luke's room. Something's wrong, she thoguht, turning around swiftly and running to the courtyard. Prof. Sparks was tailing Storm, watching him carefully. Xhaos felt sick but focused on Prof. sparks, giving him the need to go to the washroom. You want to go, do not resist the temptaion, she urged in her mind.

The man landed with a soft thud on the sandy ground. He groaned, sure that the girl had broken something. "Leave me alone." He said, his voice weak. "I'll tell you anything." He pleaded. Drake walked up to him. "When are you going to attack." He asked quietly. The man looked up at him. "Smart boy you are. Nonetheless, i cannot tell you the answer to that, but alas, i am afraid that some of your group already know. we still plan to attack on that particular date." He said with a smile. "Five days from now, boy. You and your friends will be captured and brought back with us...as slaves." He said. "Go ahead now. Kill me, I've told you all of my secrets." He challenged Drake, a mad gleam in his eyes. Drake raised his arm and an angry frost gathered around it. With a sigh, he put his hand down and walked back to Drakine. "I will not kill in cold blood." He said.

As soon as Professor Sparks had seen Storm, he had an odd urge to visit the washroom. All thoughts of Storm slipped from his mind and he walked back into the school, heading for the washrooms. ((lol. fail))

Drakine glanced at him, stunned disbelief glowed in her golden eyes. "He now knows where we are," she said softly. "He must not be allowed to be back to his commander." She took a step forward and a rippled went down her spine as she shifted into a large black dragon. "If you will not kill him, Drake, then I will." Crouching down, she coiled her muscles in preperation of a pounce -n'-kill.

Drake stepped between the two. "No Drakine. I won't let you turn into a monster." He said, his face grave. "We'll take him back with us and see if Xhaos can find out anything else about him. She might be able to pursuade him to say something else to us." He explained. The man settled down as Drake spoke. "So we are right. There are more of you." He said, an evil grin on his face. "How many? How many?" He asked, excited at the thought of fresh meat. "I *censored*ume you are at the School of Hope? That's where our forces are invading anyway." He said casually.

Drakine narrowed her eyes. "I already am a monster Drake. My claws still bare the blood of innocence of my hometown. Which I destroyed on the night my powers materialized." Leaning back on her huanches, she raised one paw to show him the permanent blood stain on the gl*censored*y-white talons. Her wings unfurled slightly as she glanced p*censored*ed the one she loved to look daggers at the man.

Drake walked over to her and put a hand on her paw. He pushed it down. "That wasn't your fault, love." He said. He hugged her scaly neck. "You had no control then. You know you didn't mean to and i'm so sorry." He hugged her more fiercly. "You mustn't do it, Drakine. You will live to regret it." He said, his eyes pleading as he looked into her now-familiar amber ones.

Drakine snorted and small white flames shot from her maw. "Believe me, I meant to. That whole town was nasty, hypocritical, and arrogant. And as of yet, I have no regrets. Well, one; being truculent to you," she said, her voice soft on the last sentance as she curled her tail around Drake's feet. She shook her scaly neck at the force of his hug.

Drake smiled as she talked to him. His smile wavered and he held onto her more tightly. "Drakine, still. We mustn't kill him. One, you know that he still has vital information for us. Two, I don't want to see you do that to him because I care about you. And three, we need to return home as soon as possible. I'll ice his hands and you can carry him in your talons, okay?" He asked, looking into her amber eyes.

The dragoness huffed and it ruffled Drake's hair. "Fine," she said in a slightly defeated tone as she lowered herself to her stomach and crossed her front legs at the wrists.

Drake walked back over to the man. He grabbed both of his arms and pushed the wrists together. "What are you doing?" The man asked suspiciously, but didn't make any sudden moves. "Binding you." Drake replied. Frost escaped his hand and stretched over the man's wrist. The man shrieked. "Stop, you'll give me frost bite." He said. "It's better than getting roasted alive." Drake reminded him, gesturing to Drakine. He lifted the man up, grunting with the effort, but this man was light. He brought him over to Drakine and set him down in front of her. "Are you ready to depart, love?" He asked her.

Drakine bobbed her head and slowly unfurled one wing to grant Drake access to her back. Then she yawned, her maw opening wide to show all her razor-sharp teeth. They were all pointed back towards her throat to make escape immossible should her victim try. Her barbed forked tongue curled over her front fangs as she closed her jaws.

Drake clambered onto her back, the reflection of the sun shining in his eyes. The man was crying from the pain of the frost now, but it wasn't melting yet. "Okay. I'm ready when you are." he said. He hoped to get back at the School before anything major happened. "When we get home," he said to Drakine. "We need to train."

[[ -gasps at idea- Yesh! ]] Drakine snorted and flexed her neck as she turned her head to nudge Drake's stomach with the tip of her nose. "You might, Drake. A fight is coming and you have to kill or be killed. Are you ready to do just that?" she asked as she turned her head back towards the sobbing man. Rearing up on her hind legs, she flared her wings for balance and wrapped her talons around the man before her. The tips digging into his unprotected flesh. Coiling the muscles in her legs and raising her wings, she pushed off and beat at the same time. Soaring up through the air, she hit a warm thermal and glided on that as she slowly gained altitude.

Drake thought about it. "Yes Drakine. I am willing to protect those I love. That includes you and well...me." He said. "Did you know that i had a brother?" Drake asked her. He could destinctly remember one fact about his brother. He was a power too, but Drake had abandoned him without a word. He had been young and foolish then. With mother and father gone, he couldn't take care of him.

"I never knew him long." He admitted, his head hung low. "I...abandoned him after my mother and father died. I believe they were murdered, but i'll never know. He's probably gone, too." Drake sighed. "I'm a horrible person." He said. "For leaving my brother in the time of his greatest need."

Drakine narrowed her eyes and veered off sharply before veering back to her course of flight. "Please don't turn this into a sob-story, Drake," she pleaded softly. "But maybe your brother is still alive. What is his name?" She beat her wings as the warm thermal ended for a short time before another one made her rise slightly higher as it pushed up on the translucent membranes of her wings.

"Sorry for troubling you, dear. I was young then. About six years old." He struggled with his memories. It started with an S, he was sure of hit. He thought long and hard. He sighed. "All I know is that the name starts with an S. It was an abnormal name. Some name you don't hear everyday. It was something...different. Like...like something to do with nature." He couldn't put his tongue on it. "All I know is that we have the same exact blue-green eyes." He said and rested his head on one of Drakine's protruding back scales. "I don't know about any other similarities though." He said.
