Drakine thought about the names that started with S and had to do with nature. "Hm..." After a short while longer and after rising higher on the thermal, she asked; "I thought of a few, do you want to hear them, love?"

Without lifting his head, Drake said "Yes please. I would love that." He still had a firm grip on one of her spiked back scales, but Drake took his other hand and traced frost patterns onto one of Drakine's inky black scales.

The muscles beneath the scales quivered slightly at the cold, but Drakine didn't seem to mind. "Well, let see, there is Sun, Spark, Shine, Storm, Solar -- wait, that one sounded like a girl's name," she said. "That is all I came up with so far."

Drake lifted his hand up, the powdery residue creating a mini blizzard from his hands. He closed his eyes, trying to picture his brother. Sun? No, that didn't fit. Not Spark or Shine. Storm? Hmm. Maybe. A small picture formed in his mind. Drake was sitting around the dining room table. His mother to his left, a smaller, black-haired boy sat to his right. Across from him sat his mother. "Mother, could you pa.ss the carrots?" The mother looked at the black-haired boy. "Yes, Storm. Here you go." She said, piling a heaping mountain of carrots onto the little kid's plate. He giggled. "Mom. You put too much." He said. "Don't worry, honey it's okay. You don't need to eat them all. His dad hadn't said anything throughout the whole dinner. Just looked on wordlessly, studying his two sons hard. The dream plunged into darkness and another scene was brought up. "No Drake! You can't leave me! I love you! You said you would take care of me!" The little kid lost it's grip on Drake's hand as he jerked it away. "Mom and Dad said that, too. But they disappeared, leaving me to fend for myself. I can't take care of you, Storm. Go." Drake slipped out of the house and into the cold and rainy night. He heard the screams and cries of his brother. It began to rain harder and lightning flashed dangerously in the skies. It had only been a slight drizzle before. Drake didn't stop. He ran from his troubles. He ran from his life. He ran from his brother. Drake opened his eyes. "Drakine..." He said. He simply did not know what to say.

Hearing her name, Drakine slowed down to hover in the air. She readjusted her wings and beat them to stay airborne. Turning her head to Drake, she said; "Yes?" The tone she used was filled with confusion.

"The name....It was Storm...I just remembered something. I'm sorry Drakine...I just...I don't know what to do. All I know is that we have to get back to the school and quickly. Thank you, Drakine. [[ Kayz. See you tomorrow. ]] Drakine nodded. Drake seemed distruaght over something and she could not comfort him. Beating her wings a few more times, she surged forward as her speed increased.

Emotional exhaustion overcame Drake. The frost melted back into his hand as he fell asleep on the back of Drakine. His dreams were corrupted with the man's fitful screaming because frost bite had developed on his hands. His dreams were dark and shadowy. All he could see was himself walking through a night filled with lightning and rain.

Sensing that Drake had fell asleep as they drew closer to the school, she started to circle downward slowly. Careful not to wake up her sleeping p*censored*anger. She landed in the front, near her tree and set the man in her claws on one of the branches. Curling around herself, she glared at the man while she waited for Drake to wake up.

Drake groaned as he woke up. He seemed more tired than before. He looked around and found that they had landed in front of the school. He jumped off of Drakine's back and landed with a thud on the ground. Turning around, he walked over to Drakine. "Sorry for falling asleep." He said sheepishly.

Drakine rumbled a laught before she used the tip of her nose to ruffle Drake's hair. "It is fine," she said, withdrawing so she could shift back to her human self.

Drake walked up to her and threw his arm over her shoulder. Then he looked up at the man in the tree and sighed. "You really had to put him up there?" He asked, a smile in his voice. He looked at Drakine. "Well, we'd better get him down." He could just see the bottom half of the man inbetween the lush leaves on the tree. He pointed his hand up at the tree and shot a small la
yer of ice to make the branch slick. The man yelped and slid backward. He landed on his butt and howled with pain. "Get over it." Drake said and helped the man up. "Let's bring him um...where should we bring him?" Drake asked. ((sorry for disappearing XD. My comp. broke and my dad just fixed it XD.))

((lol fine. i will.)) Taylor opened her eyes slowly then quickly shut them as a sun ray from the window hit them. She sat and waited for the annoying effects of the UV rays to go away. She opened her eyes more slowly and left them squinted to block out the ray. She carefully jumped off of the couch, being careful not to wake Luke up and shut the window drapes. She opened her eyes fully and yawned. She looked at the clock. 7:00. Knowing she wouldn't be able to go back to sleep, she opened Luke's door, preparing to go to her own dorm and change.
