Zaou nodding slightly. "I'm also surprised that you can get away with calling Mark. I tried it once and he nearly tore my head off," he said, shaking his head once. -- Markus tilting his head, as if thinking about it. Then he flashed a smile, showing his fangs. "Oh... That deal." His smile turned into a snarl. "The blood of other things does not sustain life like human blood does" He narrowed his eyes until they looked like glowing crimson slits.

"Yeah, well. Like I said, we go way back." Sam chuckled, leaning against the hood of the car. -- "I didn't save you for that!" Dean yelled. "You told me you were different, I had to be naive enough to believe a bloodsucker."

Zaou shrugged one shoulder. "When did you meet him anyways?" the Native vampire asked, curiously. -- Markus growled at him. How he hated that term. "I am different in the eyes of my kind," he said as he started to circle around Dean. "But as always, I'm seen as a blood-sucking monster in the eyes of others. I should have known not to trust mortals."

"Well, Dean was very young. About eight, when he met Markus." Sam started. "They were just the 'cool' kids in school. So naturally, they ended up hanging out together." -- "You are different in the eyes of your kind,"Dean started. "But not in my eyes. I trusted you to do the right thing. I disobeyed my father because you convinced me you were different. I should have known not to trust a bloodsucking leech who noms necks."

Zaou's silvery-white eyes widened. "Seriously?" he asked. "And you do know that Markus was born two thousand years ago in Athens, Greece?" -- Markus froze. Then he laughed, his fangs showing. "I don't only 'nom necks' as you say. There are other parts I can drink from," he said as he continued to circle. He stopped again as he looked in the direction he was heading in. A low growl escaped his throat. Suddenly bolting forward, he saw a teenage girl -- who was obviously drunk -- with a way older man. Markus snarled at the bad vibe he was getting from the man. Keeping to the shadows, he stalked up to the man.

"Yeah, well we figured it out. See, at the time, school's were mashed into a building, all grades. So by some chance, Dean ended up sitting next to Mark in most of his cla.sses." -- "I know," Dean chuckled, cracking a smile despite his anger. Markus could always do that to him, completely flip his mood. "Hey wait-" Dean shut up, following Markus s they stalked the man.

"Really," he said. "Must have been before I befriended him." -- Markus glanced over his shoulder and cast Dean a nasty glare. Stalking closer, his arm moved quickly and the girl fell limp against the older man. Stepping back a few paces, he crouched as he watched the man lower the girl to the ground with a wicked ex pression on his face. "Just as I thought," Markus growled softly. Quickly moving forward again, he wrapped his fingers around the man's neck and pulled him away from the girl. The man let out a strangled cry. "Rapists like you don't deserve life," Markus whispered in the man's ear before he sunk his fangs into his neck. The man went limp in the vampire's grip as the blood drained from the mortal body. When the man was dry, Markus ripped his fangs out of the now-cold neck and let the man fall to the ground with a sickening thud. Markus whiped the back of his hand over his lips as his fangs retracted to look like normal canines.

"Maybe." Sam agreed, guzzling form the beer bottle. -- Dean made a disgusted sound, shaking his head. "Oh what, so now you're a Eward Cullen? Killing killers? That doesn't make you a better person." Dean sneered, picking the girl up bridal style. He stalked away, not casting a glance at Markus. "I see you again, Mark, I won't hesitate."

Markus snorted. "Edward Cullen is a pu.ssy. Real vampires don't sparkle. And I kill who I want. Plus, I have an age requirment." He let out an evil laugh. "Most of the time." Then he turned his back to Dean and vanished. -- Zaou nodded. Then he tilted his head when he no longer felt Markus's presence. "I gotta go before I get left behind," Zaou told Sam before he bolted off, using his vampiric speed to catch-up to Markus.

"Thought you were a frind." Dean said solemnly, taking the girl back to the car. "I suggest you open the door." Dean advised as Sam opened the door. "What happened back there?" He asked, a concerned look on his face. "What happened was the loss of a friend and the creation of an enemy." Dean sighed, slamming the door.

As soon as Zaou caught up to Markus, he asked; "Dude, what happened?" His silvery-white eyes showed confusion as he followed his friend. Markus sighed. "My friend turned into an enemy I don't ever want to see again," he said. "That is what happened." Zaou nodded slowly, unsure if he could begin to understand his friend.

Dean drove to the girl's house, after lifting her purse and finding out where she lived. He carried her bridal style, Sam knocking on the door. An exasperated-looking woman opened thedoor, shadowed by a big burly man. "Liek omg, where did u fiend err? Oh my god, where did you find her? And why is she unconscious?" The woman yelled, the man grolwing behind her. "We found her. A town rapist ha drugged her, and had walked with her until she went comatose. Luckily, I was there, and that man will never see the light of day.. Or the dark of night." Dean replied, brushing past the couple and gently laying the girl on the couch. "your welcome." He added, Sam giving them an apologetic smile as they stalked back to the car. "I can't believe I trusted Markus. After all of the things we've been through. After all the things I've done for him! After I stood up for his sorry a.ss while Dad was about to make mince meat of him!" Dean yelled, peeling out of the parking space and going well over the speed limit.

Markus stopped at a corner and yawned. He covered his mouth with a hand. "Man, now I could sleep for a century," he said, yawning again. Zaou chuckled and pulled Markus by the wrist to the appartments they were staying for the time being. Pulling him into the apparmtent, Zaou shut and locked the door. Markus had walked towards a room while taking off his long coat and letting it pool at the ground. Slipping his feet out of his shoes, he fell face-first into a soft bed and moaned tiredly. Within seconds, he was asleep. The Native picked up the jacket and hung it up on a hangar in the closet. And seeing that Markus had taken the only bed, he sprawled out on the couch.

Dean waited until Sam was asleep to head out to the car, a long knife in his hand. He sighed once in the confines of his car, a million thoughts running through his head. He didn't want to have to do this, but he had to do what was right. He silently drove out, using his common sense leading him to where Markus and the Native were staying. He quietly picked the lock, treading silently to the bed where Markus lie asleep. "I'm sorry, friend." He murmured, raising the knife high above his head, poised to chut off Markus' head.

A thin spike of ice curled around Dean's neck. Zaou was right behind him with his eyes narrowed dangerously, and glowing slightly. His upper lip was curled into a snarl as his four fangs were showing. "Move or die," he growled threateningly, his tone like a low whisper in Dean's ear. Then he said in a louder tone; "Silver Wolf, we have company." Markus's eyes snapped open and he rolled off the bed quickly. Crossing his bare arms against his chest, he growled and glared at Dean before addressing Zaou; "You do know I dislike beind called that, Hidden Moon." Zaou flinched and growled at his old, Cherokee name. Then Markus turned to Dean with a rather confused ex pression. "How did you know where we were staying?"

"Oh trust me, I know a lot about you, Mark." Dean spat through gritted teeth. "And go ahead, kill me. I've ingested Dead Man's Blood, so any feeding from me will result in your poisoning. Plus, Cas.s would just raise me from perdition again."

Markus snarled, showing his fangs. "I don't drink from Hunters," he hissed before walking out of the room to get his shoes and his coat. Though, once out, he muttered to himself; "Hades, do you want me so bad that you've sent a mortal to go a God's work? Tartarus can not hold me forever." Zaou slowly removed the ice spike from Dean's neck. His glowing eyes faded back to their original silvery-white and his fangs retracted to look like normal teeth. Moving so he was facing Dean, he asked the hunter; "How was it that you and Markus became friends? Then, bitter enemies?"

"Actually, it's his choice that we're enemies. I'm pretty sure I heard Sam telling you, but I had saved his life from the one person I never disobeyed, my Father. The treaty was that if he didn't feed from humans, I wouldn't kill him. My Dad said it had to be, since I saved him. And he drinks form Humans, no regard to it. So I have to kill him, one way or another." Dean growled, going to follow Markus.

Zaou blocked his path. "I am going to have to stop you on that. Like it or not," he growled as he narrowed his eyes. "And, Markus is not one to survive off the blood of animals. It was the way he was brought up after he was turned." He across his arms against his chest and eyed Dean with a sort of weary ex pression.

"Listen, Scar. Markus has told me a lot about you. I need to top him. He can drink from other things, it doesn't have to be animal blood. And I don't care, he told me he was different, and I believed him. He showed me, he hunted for an animal. I trusted a bloodsucking vampire leech, and he turned on me. I have to kill him." Dean yelled, pushing past Zaou. "Oh, and if you try to stop me, I will kill you too."
