Jace woke up as he heard the the nail snap, and he let out a little yelp of surprise as he plummeted towards the earth. He hit the ground with a thump, head smashing against a rock in the gras s. A white light flashed in front of his eyes, and pain flared through his skull. He sat up, carefully, and looked at Sunni with dazed eyes. He was confused for a moment, and could taste blood in his mouth. "Are you okay?" he asked, bringing his hand to the back of his head where he had hit it. Blood seeped through his hair. He ignored it. ____________ Charlotte caught sight of Kiru, and bounced up to her with a skip in her step. "Hi!" she said, smiling despite the cold midnight air. "I'm Charlotte! Who are you?" The breeze ruffled her blond hair, and the moonlight dyed it a light silver color. ____________ Sarah smiled gently. "How long are you here?" she asked, sitting down carefully on a nearby bench. She looked at him with curious icy blue eyes, trying to comfort herself with the fact he seemed the same age as she was.

Kiru glanced up, a cold ex
pression freezing her pretty face, "Kiru, why do you ask?" she said, her voice devoid of all emotion, save for that of annoyance. Her ice blue eyes flashed with an uncomfortable anger, two small blush spots appearing on her cheeks.

Alex continued looking up at the sky, seeming dazed by the stars themselves shining on them. "Didn't I say I moved here? im here to stay, I can't go back to my old home, they all think im insane... even my own mother acted like she was going to put me in the nut house..." he said.

Sarah frowned, automatically thinking about her gloves. "I'm here for the summer." she said quietly. "A little longer if I can scrounge up the money to buy a house." A smile played on her lips a little bit. _________ Charlotte frowned. "No reason," she said. "I just wanted to know." Her eyes flashed to her note/sketchbook. "What's that? Are you drawing something?" She grinned again, obviously ignoring Kiru's annoyance. __________

Sunni yelped in pain it was obvious she bruised her tail bone.But when she turned and saw jace pain and panic jolted through her like a electric shock.She got up and stumble over to him grabbing him"oh jace!"She screamed tears streaming."waitheresugarineedtogethelp"She hated leaving him but she had to find someone "help,helpmust find help'She spoke as if talking to herself she started to run her heart beat thudded inside her like a mottorboat gushing through her ears her muscles felt on fire and begged for rest but she ignored it.Screaming "HHHHHEEEEELLLLLPPP"

Kiru sighed impatiently, "Do you not have something better to do?" she asked, a strange lilt to her voice, something that only became apparent when Kiru was upset or mad, which tended to be most of the time. She held the note/sketchbook closer to her chest, feeling flustered at this intrusion.

Charlotte snapped. She never had much patience anyways. "What's your problem?" she blurted, frowning at her angrily. "I'm just trying to be nice! Stop acting like I'm shoving splinters under your fingernails, before I have to SLAP the happy into you!" _____ Sarah blushed lightly, thinking about what her sister would say about that. Then she remembered she didn't give a flying care. "Sure," she said. "Where do you live? I guess I could pitch in with the rent. I don't have a lot of money, but I have some." _____ Jace was confused for a moment as she ran off. But he was distracted as pain sent a shock through his body. He cursed fluently under his breath. Shaking his head, he noticed the blood was spilling faster than he had thought. Panic made his head feel light and fuzzy.

Kiru lifted her head at this, her eyes boring into Charlotte's, "Maybe if you knew what happened to me you would know," she said softly, her voice carrying a musical quality to it, "My loved boyfriend used me and stole all my money, AFTER blinding me," she growled, her voice growing lower and deeper, a feral sound to it. "You have never felt the sort of pain I had to endure, both mental and physical,"

Charlotte bit her lip, but didn't back down. "Well, SORRY. But you need to learn to keep your problems to yourself, and not let them effect you so harshly. Like, jesus. Stop taking it out on everyone else around you. It pisses people off." She didn't curse often, actually. ___________ Sarah grinned, standing up. She started to walk after him, letting her mind settle on the bat for a minute. It wouldn't be SO bad... ___________ Josh stepped back into the waiting room. His head was fuzzy, and the side of his face with stitches felt tight and uncomfortable. He was in the mood to punch someone. but he managed a weak, painful smile.

Suuni ran into the gas station she knew would be open she slammed the door open her eyes bloodshot she shook uncontrollably and her hair stuck out from all directions as she yelled "Help boyfriend he fell his head bleeding hes hurt real bad help! please!"She pleaded with tears begining to well in her eyes once more not thinking she called the beatiful boy she just met her boyfriend it just came out. the man slowly looked up from reading a magazine at the register "where honey?"He looked worried but sceptical."at the park by the large apple tree please ya gotto help em"She spoke calmly trying not to sound crazy."okay,c'mon.She went out side and pulled his ford truck around."c'mon hun"Fear stifled to get in a car with a strange man but she had to help jace."he drove over to the park wihich was minutes away."stop!" she yelled as she saw him by a large rock."over there!"She jumped out of the car her lower back catching up with her she limped over to him and kissed him"i got help its gonna be okay."she wept into his shoulder and held him"The man walked over and saw his injury and took out his cell phone"im calling the ambulance its gonna be okay"he waited as it dialed "yes um this boy he has severe head injury and is bleeding badly please get an ambulance at the local park"The sirens became to come from the distance.

After about fifteen minutes Alex led Sarah to his house. It was a decently built house, a kitchen, garage, three bed rooms, a living room and a small back yard. He gestured to the house with his hand, "well, its not much but its a house, right?"

Sarah grinned. It almost looked similar to the place she was staying at, at the moment. "It's great," she said honestly. "Not let's go inside before I freeze to death." She chuckled, and started to walk up to the door, tugging on her gloves. ______ Jace laid back on the gras s, watching as everything started spinning around him. Warmth, numbness and peace washed over him. "So this is what it's like to die..." he muttered. "How...relaxing..." He closed his eyes, letting drowsiness overtake him.

Alex got out his key and opened the door quickly. The fireplace was still 'alite and the house was warm and dark. Alex walked over to the empty room at the end of the hallway and gestured for sarah to come over.

((lol!)) Alex smiled, "it's all yours." and walked back to his own room and shut the door. He just layed down in his bed and practicaly pas-sed out. being chased by a girl with a knife, chasing his bat, and all the rest of the walking he did really tired him out.

Sunni saw the ambulance pull up and put him on a strecther into it.She sobbed"will he be okay?"She asked her voice flaking with stress."well we can really tell right now ma'm but we'll do the best we can"She sobbed more.The man turned to her "here hun ill drive ya to the hospital"She slowly got up in the car seat in pain stricking in her back she yelped a little then plopped down on the seat as her drove her there and dropped her off.She sat in the plain white waiting room silent trying to get it together as sickening grief and worry nausiated her.
