Zakeru shrugged off Katrina's rejection of help and slid out of the car before slamming the door shut behind him. He slid his hands into his pockets as he watched as she removed her glider from the trunk of her Mercedes. Waiting until she was were she had pointed out earlier, Zakeru moved to stand a little bit behind her before following her into the lush, green forest.

He followed Katrina like a puppy would its master; since he didn't really want to get lost in a forest he didn't know. His orange eyes flicked from the trail to her, just to make sure he kept her in his sights. When she made it to the cliff, he hung back slightly as he watched her unfurl her glider.

"Alright," she said, more to herself than to Zakeru. She finished unfolding the glider, double-checking the clips on the metal rods to be sure they were tight enough. Once she made two thorough checks, she lifted the glider up by the metal handle at the bottom. The breeze around them picked it up like a sail, its light blue nylon wings lifting up and tugging on her hold.

"Uh-hu-uh," she tsked at the glider. She didn't fight the wind, but she pulled the glider over to Zakeru. "Alright, put these straps on," she said as she slipped a harness over his shoulders. The glider towered over both of them, its thirteen foot long dimension seemingly unrealistic when it was folded up neatly.

She slipped her own harness on to show him how it was done. She strapped and tightened the hold with expert hands, slender fingers flying over the various clips and fastenings of the harness. She was vaguely aware of the many times her arm brushed against his. When she was finished, she gripped the steel rod in front of them that would help with navigation and grinned at him. "No chickening out now," she said.

Zakeru blinked when she threw a harness around his shoulders, which he instictively slipped his arms through. When he watched her tighten and fasten her own harness, he just stared. "Uh..." he started, "could you do mine? I'm afraid I might mess-up or something." Even as he said that, he pushed his phone and his headphones deeper into his pocket; which also had a convienent little zipper on the opening. He also zipped it up just to be on the safe side.

Katrina chuckled and merely shook her head as her delicate frame shook with laughter. She turned and fixed one of his shoulder straps, her slender fingers brushing the collar of his shirt and accidentally brushing against the skin of his neck. She paid it no mind, instead hummed the song she had been listening to earlier.

She pulled down roughly on both shoulder straps to be sure it was secured enough. Then, she fastened the straps around his torso, tightened a few bonds, and pulled back with a satisfied grin. "Voila," she said and her hands moved to tighten around the rod before them. She gripped it tightly, the spiking of adrenaline passing through her as she peered over the cliff edge.

"On three," she warned.

Zakeru let Katrina buckle and strap up his harness. But when her fingers accidentally brushed up against the skin of his neck, chills went up his spine and rippled out from where she touched him. He let out a small exhale that could be mistaken for a settling of the nerves when it was actually a small sigh of pleasure. He closed his orange eyes momentarily before turning to grip the steel rod before him. Then, his head dipped into a nod at her warning.

Katrina tightened her hands over the rod and closed her eyes for a moment, as she always did before her trips. She let her hair tickle the nape of her neck, blonde waves curling past her chin as the breeze blew from around them. She already knew the plans for the short ride down; they would fly against the rock face to get the updrafts that pushed up against the rock, once high enough, they would soar around the small area and let the breeze carry them.

"Alright," she murmured as she opened her brown eyes. "One, two, three," she said as she leaped from the ground and off of the cliff face.

Zakeru let the wind from the cliff play with his gray and black hair as he felt Katrina go silent besides him. She was ptobably planning out the route of the glider. He opened his eyes when he heard her murmur something. As she started to count, he tightened his grip and leaped with her when she got to three.

Their jump was in sync all the way through and the glider stayed straight as it was pulled off of the cliff by the weight. It dipped slightly, but Katrina leaned a bit to the left to nose it back over to the cliff face. The nylon filled with more air and the contraption rose, soaring upward, past the spot where they jumped from. "Not bad," she said softly to Zakeru, her brown eyes caught in the forest beneath her.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" she said as she lifted one hand from the rod on the glider and pointed down to the forest, cutting through the expanse of lush treetops wound a moderately sized river. The sunlight bounced off of the crystal blue water in shimmering rays of light. She turned the glider toward the river and let them ride smoothly over the forest and away from the cliff edge.

Zakeru's orange eyes stretched wide as he watched the canopy of the forest unfurl before them. But before that happened, he was simply mesmerised by the shimmering blue water and how it reflected the light of the sun. "It is," he said in agreement. Then, in a softer, almost whispering tone, he added; "Just like you."

Ooc; D'awww, I could just see that. <333 That awkward moment when she realizes he wants to be more than friends....And lololol I have White, but I gave up on it when this giant cotton ball knocked my Krookodile out like 3 times on my way to Victory Road. e_e

Katrina was in awe of the scenery beneath her, spanning out for miles below their gentle form gliding through the sky. She spotted a few red-tailed hawks circling lazily in the sky a few meters below their height and she grinned to herself. "It is, just like you." Katrina blinked her large brown eyes and turned to Zakeru, her cheeks turning a slight shade of pink.

She nudged his shoulder playfully before resting her head there for a moment, her blonde hair trickling down his arm. "Thanks," she murmured as she sighed. "We best be heading back now; unless you want to hike all the way back to the car," she said as she straightened, her hands gripping the pole tighter than usual.
