Averik glanced up at Jake, then back down at his brother. "When he's ill like this, his powers get a little messed up. He could be reading someone's..." he paused, then stared straight at Kiru. "You! He must have ended up reading your mind!" he cried as his fire disappeared. Elliot whimpered softly, his eyes squeezed shut. That girl's mind was...extremely frightening.
Jake looked at Elliot. "Ow.. That's probably guna leave him scarred for a while. Good thing he didn't read my mind.. It may have turned out a little different." He placed his hand on elliot's back and ended up shocking himself. "Owch!! Ow.. no more touching people.."
Averik shuddered slightly. "From the way she was talking, I don't think it could be any worse..." he said with a light grimace as he returned his attention to his little brother. He moved to lift him up, the younger brunette curling up as he did so. "I'm going to go see if the nurse is here yet. We need to get Elliot somewhere where his powers won't make things worse."
Jake nodded. "Right.. I'm sorry abou thtis whole thing.. I really shouldn't have provoked her at all.." He sighed and looked ta Elliot. "You needed to stay home.. You look terrible and now," he picked up a rubber ball, "PE balls are flying everywhere.."
