Saph heard blurry voices, and decided to try and decipher what the people were saying. She heard what sounded like 'Dad' and 'useless son' in what sounded like Jonahs friends voice, but she couldn't be sure. She guessed that the two were family, perhaps even brothers. Now that she thought about it, they did look fairly similar. Strange how Jonah had only called him his 'friend' instead of his brother, though. Then again, her assumption could be wrong.
After about ten minutes of laying motionless on the table, Saph decided she'd taken it easy for long enough, and sat up straight, her eyes flickering around the room to see Jonah and his friend sat on the couch. Yes, they did look pretty similar. Gritting her teeth for a moment, she slid off the table and landed on her good foot, with a barely audible 'thud'. ''So. Are you guys brothers, or how do you know each other?'' She addressed them both as she spoke, her voice clear and almost as piercing as her eyes, which she kept locked onto Jonahs friend. She didn't trust him enough to let him out of her sight yet.

Jonah smiled at Saph as she asked the question ever so bluntly, "Brothers in bond, aye, in blood? No." Chris chuckled slightly as well starting to see why Jonah liked this one - He never was one for the girly type, always preferring it when a girl would have her own and speak her own mind. "We met in our first year of school, aint left eachother's sides since." Jonah leant over the side of the couch, pulling two beers from a cooler and handing one to Chris, before looking over to Saph "Would you like one?"
He continued on with his story, guessing there was no worry in letting her know. "Chris was the guy that pulled me out of a slump after my parents died, I was 22 at the time and took it real hard, traffic accident got them... It was my Mother that tore me up, I never did manage to get close to my father, forever judgemental." He scratched his face, stubble starting to grow thick. How long has it been since the blast?

Saph listened carefully to his words. She always did. Every comment, every remark someone made could be important in the future. So, she always listened. She shook her head to the offer of a drink. Alcohol dulled the mind, the senses, made you less alert. Right now, she wanted all her senses to be wide awake and functioning. Any failure could cost her her life. ''No, thank you anyway.'' She said, leaning back against the table, resting her hands on it. She was still facing Jonah and his 'bond-brother' though. ''So, your parents died too, huh? We're not so different, you and I.'' She continued. He'd stuck himself out on a limb, told her a little of his past. She could at least do the same. ''My parents died-were killed-when I was seventeen. I've lived alone since.'' She said, not bothering to go into details about her parents death. Or the fact that living alone was something he preferred. She always had time to think, this way. All in all, it was better.

Jonah scratched his chin as he listened, smiling when she noted they were similar. "My mother was always the one to raise me, she's the one who paid for my combat training when I was in my teens, even put me through weapons training for clubs and the such - things you can find in the environment." He scratched his head, not entirely sure what it was about this woman that got him to open up like this, "She was a good parent, my father was worthless, if I'm to be honest."
He looked at Chris, rememberring just what it was they had came here for. "Guns, we need something that has fully-automatic fire and isn't too hard to carry around, these idiots haven't stopped persuing us since the apartment and the... way we've been dealing with them tends to tire us out."

Saph shrugged her shoulders. ''My parents weren't the best. They meant well, but...'' She looked down, remembering it all. Shaking herself out of her daydream, she turned back to Jonah and Chris. ''Yeah, if it's too heavy, I may as well just stick with my katana.'' She looked thoughtful for a moment, and ran a hand through her hair. ''You got any mini-guns?'' She turned to Chris as she said this, her eyes boring holes. Jonah was certainly a strange character. He was so open about his history and such. She'd never met a guy willing to say things like that. Then again, she hadn't exactly done her best to meet guys. Threatening to gouge their eyes out if they ever asked her out again, and kicking them hard in the stomach or punching their faces if they did have the nerve to ask her out again, tended to put people off.

Jonah listenned intently, seeming to hang on every word, loving just talking to this woman - Which was strange, whenever he was talking to a woman he tended to zone out. "Mhm, parents aren't worth much once you're old enough to understand what's going on, just tend to get in the way." He took another swig of the beer, chuckling deeply and almost sinisterly when she asked Chris if he had any mini-guns. "That's one of the least high-grade weapons he has, I don't even ask where most of it comes from."
He stood, walking into the next room, coming back in with a rather large handgun, "This hand-cannon's my personal favourite, so much power and Chris here has customised it so there's virtually no kick-back when firing."

Saph arched her eyebrows, amused. Whatever guns this guy had, she would know how to use them. Walking over to Jonah, she took the gun from him for a moment, examining it closely. She turned it over in her hands, deciding she liked the weight and feel of it, if not as much as she liked her assault rifles and mini-guns. What could she say? She liked guns that fired fast. They wer reliable and good to work with, as far as she was concerned. Handing it back to him, she folded her arms over her chest and had a slightly amused look on her face. ''It's ok, but I still prefer my mini-guns. I wouldn't know much about parents getting in the way once you're older. I lost mine when I was young. Oh, and do you have any assault rifles?'' She said the last part while turning to Chris, not wanting to dwell on her parents deaths any more than was neccesary.

Chris smiled and stood, smirking at Jonah, "I can see why you like this girl, whirlwind, huh?" He walked into the next room, gesturing for the others to follow. Jonah smiled awkwardly at Saph after what his friend had said,
"Excuse him, he fancies himself as a bit of a mentalist." He followed Chris, throwing an empty handgun magazine at te back of his head while Saph couldn't see. "Basta, idiota." What he said meant 'Enough, idiot.'
Chris laughed, turning back to face him, "You need to stop flipping to italian as well, I know it's become second nature but it get's annoying." When Saph walked in, Chris pulleda large tap off a huge, black metal crate. Unclicking a few catches, he pushed the lid open. "All the fast firing weapons you could ever dream for and more, just don't fire them in here, I don't need the neighbours calling the cops again."

Saph grinned and shook her head at his comment. This Chris was an interesting character, to say the least. Following them both into the room, she heard the tail end of the conversation. Italian, eh? She was never much good at it, but it certainly was a very beautiful language, to say the very least. It was very similar to Latin, too, as was Greek.
''Thank you. And trust me... I won't go so far as to say I read minds, but I can come pretty damn close. So if either of you ever think someting you're not supposed to be...'' Saph left the joking threat hanging, and although she said it lightly and as a joke, she wasn't kidding in the slightest. ''Hm, you got some nice guns in here... a carbon fibre TAR-21... very nice...'' She pulled the gun out of the crate, knowing just by the feel of it it was definitely carbon fibre. She ran her hand down the length o it, liking the feel of the smooth metal.

Chris smiled broadly as Saph pulled out the weapon, nudging Jonah in the ribs, "If you don't like her I will, that girl knows her guns."
Jonah chuckled drily, before gsturing with his head to the woman with the assault rifle, "Look like you're plum out of look then buddy, she seems to like guns more than people." He looked in a mirror, twisting his head to click his neck, "I need a shave and a haircut..."
Chris laughed at his friend, gesturingwith his thumb as he smiled at Saph, "The only metalhead I've ever known to not like facial hair and long hair." He looked overto Jonah, shrugging slightly, "You should let it grow, I think you'd suit it anyway."

Saph didn't hear the majority of their conversation. She was too ocused on having a look at the other guns, trying to decide between them. She pulled out an M16 and an AK-47 as well, but eventually decided on the TAR-21. Holding it over her shoulder with one hand, she leaned back on the crate with the other. She had heard enough of their conversation to know the topic of it. She checked the magazine in it, and was glad to find some bullets still in it. ''Actually, I think long hair rather suits him. Oh, and Chris, do remember I have a loaded gun in my hand, won't you?'' She asked him, smiling, amused at the rather crude behaviour he portrayed. She decided he would be a good friend; he spoke his mind, and wasn't afraid to voice his opinions.

Chris put his hands up sarcasticly, feigning worry, "Whoa there, action woman!" Jonah chuckled slightly, deciding to go with what they said, deciding a woman's opinion must be right - As they're always arguing it is! Chris patted his friend on the shoulder, "I'm coming with you when you go wherever it is you're fixing on going to. You must be in trouble to be asking for a gun, nevermind fully automatic, you're going to need back-up."
Jonah took a step back from the mirror and saluted sarcastically, "Yes sir, detective Jones, sir!" He looked over to Saph, smiling slightly, "You can have the room I usually use, I'll crash on the couch. He sat down and pu his head back, doing his utmost to work out just why it was these people wer after them, and who caused all of this drama.

Saph rolled her eyes, before putting the gun lengthways behind her neck with her hands draped over it. She smiled her usual, rather amused smile, before glancing between the two of them. ''If you come, you've gotta know how to hold your own. And you stay here often, do you?'' She said the last part to Jonah, her eyebrows arched slightly in a slight mocking ex pression.
''Any ideas as to why we've suddenly got some very high-ranking men, very pi***d with us right now?'' She asked, her voice taking on a slightly more serious tone as she spoke.

Jonah went in a bag he kept beside Chris' couch, taking out a fedora, before laying on his back and putting the hat over his face. "I crash here more often than I sleep at my place, I mean let's face it, this place has guns, so much more fun!" he sneaked a peek from under the rim of the hat at Chris, before saying to Saph in an amused tone. "Plus it's great when his sister's here and he get's all uppity if I compliment her."
He laughed as he felt a shoe hit his ribs, before he pushed it off the couch and stretched. "I need sleep anyway, recharging with electricity obviously doesn't recharge my energy." He yawned, before telling Saph his room was the second on the right, and rolling over on his side.

Saph laughed as he commented on Chris's sister and got a kick in return. If there was any doubt before, it was cleared up now. Chris and Jonah really were brothers by bond, if not by blood. Shaking her head, she headed to the door, turning back to them for a moment. ''Your right. Guns make everything more fun. I'll see you tomorrow, guys.'' She closed the door behind her, and headed up the stairs to Jonahs bedroom, collapsing onto the bed and alling asleep instantly.

Jonah awoke at the crack of dawn, the slightest glimer of light had always woken him up, and Chris's curtains were unbelievably thin downstairs. "Ugh, Chris, I'm going to slap you when you wake up." He forced himself to stand, stretching the kinks out before walking into the kitchen and making himself a cup of coffee. He sat, rumaging through his bag for a decent set of clothes.
He pulled out a white T-Shirt and Blue jeans, got a shower, ran a brush through his now ear-length hair and got dressed. He then sat back on the couch and put his head back, waiting for the others to get up.

Saph had been up at the very start of the morning chorus, enjoying the sweet melodies and intricate harmonies the birds outside were creating. Eventually, though, she got up. She glanced in the mirror and scowled at her relection. Her hair was an utter mess; oh, why did she have to suffer from bed head? Sighing, she padded silently downstairs, bare-footed, and hoped Jonah wasn't awake yet so she could search for a hairbrush. She figured, knowing her luck, he probably was. ''Hey,'' she said, walking into the room. ''Ignore the bed head, please.''

Jonah popped his head up when he heard Saph speak, nodding in response to her greeting. chuckling softly when she asked him to ignore her bedhead. "As long as you ignore the fact I'm up at such an unsociable offer... You want tea or coffee?" he looked at his empty cup, standing to make himself another, listening for her answer.
