They lurk in the shadows of the world you know so well...beings with powers you would scarcely dare to believe. Demons, vampires, shapeshifters, changelings, all of those creatures you heard of in stories and fairytales but never knew exist. They're all real. They're all out there.

Standard RP rules apply here (respect other players, no PP or GM, be as literate as possible, etc). Up to two characters per person. DON'T make an unbeatable character because I find that really annoying...everyone has a weakness, demonic creature or not. Romance is ESSENTIAL in this RP.

Here are my characters (mark this occasion...the first time I'm making a male character! O_O):

Personality: Calm and collected, but EXTREMELY protective of his half-sister. Touch her and Dark might just try to kill you! He only really shows emotion around his half-sister, and his temper rarely snaps unless she is in danger. Around Kyoko he is good-humoured and wise, making sure she is never harmed in any way. Unlike some vampires, Dark is able to control himself when he smells blood, though sometimes his hunger gets too much...in these situations, Kyoko will allow him to drink her blood. Dark always feels bad about this afterwards, though.
History (optional): Unknown
Abilities: Flight (obviously), the power to manipulate darkness and use it as a weapon. He has superior strength and agility, like all vampires. He can torture someone telepathically.

Personality: Calm, quiet and introverted. She loves her half-brother (Dark) like a best friend and sticks by him, but she secretly longs to find someone to open her heart to apart from him. She lets him drink her blood when he really needs it. Kyoko is actually lonely inside, because her mother (different mother to Dark) was killed long ago...Kyoko cries herself to sleep every night. She has a soft spot for children and will risk anything to save a child. That goes for any allies or friends she has...that is, whoever her half-brother doesn't try to kill just from looking at Kyoko.
History (optional): Unknown, but her mother was killed long ago and she was adopted by her father (who lived with Dark's family). She and Dark have been travelling together ever since.
Abilities: She wields a katana-like weapon which embodies the power of heavenly light. She weilds the power of light and darkness to the best of her ability, her powers over light being stronger. She also has the power of flight and the ability to see into the future. Sometimes she can use the power to make others fall in love with her...

Name: Aleksei Rulen Gender: Male Age: True age unknown. Appears in his late teens. Species: Pure-bred vampire Appearance: Aleksei stands at an even six feet tall and has a rather attractive build. He has enchanting ocean blue eyes normally, but when he gets mad enough they turn a rich shade of red that seem to slow even in the brightest sunlight. He has semi-long pale blond hair that has the slightest hint of a curl at the ends, and his skin, of course, is a pale, pale shade of alabaster. He has sharp fangs that tend to poke out over his lip, and he can choose when he grows a pair of pitch black wings or even change into a rather large vampire bat.
He constantly wears a smirk on his face, and his rich baritone voice is as smooth and gentle as silk blowing in a gentle spring breeze. He is attractive and he's not afraid to flaunt it when the need arises. He's most often spotted wearing nothing but a simple T-shirt and comfortable jeans, but when he feels the need to look classy you can be sure he won't disappoint. Personality: Aleksei is a flirt, and he's pretty full of himself since he's a pure vampire. He believes he is the best thing since sliced bread, and that he's better than everyone else. He can be a romantic when he wants to be, but is usually described as being stuck-up and extremely blunt. History (optional): Born to two vampires, he was raised in a rather wealthy family and got pretty spoiled. That's basically it. Abilities: Speed and strength, as well as a heightened sense of sight and smell make Aleksei a force to be reckoned with. He also can change others into weaker vampires as well, but only if he bits and lets go without draining any blood. He also has this...strange ability to use the bones in his body as weapons, making them grow out of his skin to allow him to wield them like blades and such. Kaji stands at only 5'7", but he has a calm, commanding authority around him that goes past the years he has appeared to have lived. He has wisdom in his deep brown eyes that says e has lived a great many lives before he settled where he is now, and he has a trace of his homeland in hi mannerisms. He has a polite smile and is often seen in a flowered kimono that accents his long, long blond hair, which steadily changes to a deep orange towards the bottoms. His cheeks each have three lines, almost like whiskers, on them, and he has sharp fangs and claws to match.
As a kitsune, he has nine tails, each tipped with a black ring. He has black paws as well and black swirls around his eyes. His fur is a golden brown as well, and his eyes the same rich brown as they are when he appears human. Personality:
He is a quiet, wise person who chooses to remain out of conflicts that do not directly involve him. When flustered he tends to revert back to rapid, ancient Japanese.
