Dark had taken flight, while Liam was distracted. He had silently flown through the air until he was directly above Liam, at which point he flew down at great speed in a sort of dive-bomb action. He slammed into Liam with great force and then darted backwards. He glanced over at Kajine and Kyoko. Then he glared back at Liam.
"And I'm not sorry that I did that." he said. |

Liam had expected Dark to attack eventually, so he wasn't exactly surprised when he hit the ground hard. Getting to his feet, he retorted, "and I won't be sorry when I do this." He was in front of Dark in seconds, and punched Dark as hard as possibly could in the jaw; and considering he was a vampire, he'd hit hard. ((That's what she said. c8))

Dark screamed as Liam threw a punch, which hit Dark squarely on the jaw and sent him hurtling backwards. He recovered his stance and raised a hand to his mouth, and when he withdrew it his fingertips were faintly stained red. Furious, Dark surged forward and threw a punch of his own, which hit Liam in the stomach. Kyoko, meanwhile, was still too weak to make much sense of what was going on around her. She seemed to be in a daze, which was only to be expected, but reacted when Vega wrapped his wings around her by giving a weak smile. |

Liam the punch hit and put a hand his stomach, then steadied himself and staggered up. Completely enraged now, he stormed over to Kyoko, roughly used his hand to cock her head to the side, and rested his two fangs on the same spot holes were before. "I will," he hissed.

Kyoko just widened her eyes and gave a slight gasp when Liam came over again...she wasn't strong enough to do much else. Dark skidded to a halt a few feet away, physically shaking in rage but didn't charge forward in case his attack hurt dear Kyoko.
"Don't...you...dare..." Dark hissed, fiercely. |

never mind.))
"I gave you a chance..." Liam started, a slight smile forming, "but I don't believe in second chances." He stabbed his fangs into her flesh, and felt the venom flood through his mouth...it was a sour, burning taste, but Liam had done it so many times it didn't bother him anymore. He felt it drip from his teeth and into the two holes he'd made, and once enough of the poison had traveled into her blood, Liam pulled back, and then was gone.

Kyoko gasped and started to quiver violently as the venom flowed through her. She could only just restrain herself from screaming. Dark, of course, rushed to Kyoko's side and cradled her gently in his arms as she shook violently. A tear welled in Dark's eye and fell onto Kyoko's cheek.
"Please...no...this can't happen...not to Kyoko..." he whispered. |

"She's becoming a vampire isn't she?" Vega said shakily. He wished his cousin was here. This wouldn't happen if Nicki was here. But, now, he doubted she was alive. "Kyoko has lost a lot of blood. I've healed before, but, I can't control it." For some reason, Vega found tears flooding his eyes. |

Suddenly, Kyoko weakly raised a hand and grasped Vega's hand. Dark kept cradling her gently as she shook, the venom flowing through the angel's bloodstream. Kyoko looked at Dark with her dual-coloured eyes, the faintest hint of red in one of them now.
"Dark...Vega...everyone..." she said, weakly. "I don't want to be like the vampires...no offence, bro." Dark found himself laughing a little through his tears at the little joke.
"Don't worry, you won't..." Dark whispered. Though he doubted that it was true... |

Vega squeezed it felt like Kyoto was reassuring him that it would be all right, instead of him reassuring her. "Dark, I think it's official. Kyoko's a vampire." Vega said gravely.

((Well...whatever is happening, Kyoko has vampire venom inside her and it's sweeping through her bloodstream. I guess Kajine could try to heal it still...I'm not sure if Kyoko will end up as a fully-fledged vampire or not.))

Kajine simply moved over to where the other's were, her deep blue eyes focused onto the holes in Kyoko's neck. "This may not work...but either way it will take a lot of my energy. The energy of a kitsune can be overwhelming, so if you start getting too hot, leave until I finish," she said gently as she placed her other hand on Kyoko's heart and closed her eyes, chanting in ancient Japanese as he flames changed to become pure energy and float around herself and Kyoko, the kitsune's brows furrowed in concentration. She was aiming to pull the poison out of Kyoko through the way it had come, and then heal the damage that had been done. She wasn't sure if it would work...but it was worth a try. |

Dark gently, almost reluctantly, rested Kyoko on the ground. Then he stood back, feeling angry at himself for letting Kyoko get vampire venom inside her, or being bitten by a vampire at all. He was physically shaking in his inner rage. But he soothed his mind a little with the thought that at least there was someone to help Kyoko. Dark could never thank Kajine enough for her...or his...help. He just hoped it would work...
