He nodded "I'm Avven, a demon...." was all he said.
Spirit hit his let and let out a loud groan, she had almost broke her hand along with her wrist when she hit him. "The strongest demon at that..." she murmmered and shook off her hand. She bit into the rabit and started eating. Avven smiled "I really don't feel a thing Spirit." he chuckled. He looked back at Kyoko and smiled. He held out his hand, wanting for her to shake it.

Kyoko averted her eyes when Amy started eating the rabbit. She shook Avven's hand warmly and flexed her dual-coloured wings. She blinked and shrugged a little.
"Like I said, it's nice to meet you both." Kyoko said, quietly and politely. "I warn you, though, Dark probably won't be as welcoming as I. He's one of those over-protective types." |

Kyoko looked in alarm as Avven walked up to Dark, who turned around to see the demon approaching. Dark looked distinctly unimpressed.
"Who are you?" he asked, flatly. "You haven't hurt my sister, have you?" Kyoko ran up and positioned herself in front of Dark so as to stop him from doing anything rash.
"Relax, Dark. Avven's alright, and so's that vampire over there." Kyoko pointed back. "You can quit the serious attitude, ok?" Dark shrugged.
"If you say so...I guess." he muttered |

Avven let out a random snort and looked at Dark. Spirirt stood up the the rabit in her hand and blood still driping from her mouth. She ran over too Avven and pulled him slightly.

Kyoko stood between Avven and Dark. Dark appeared to be tensing up and he flexed his arms a little. Kyoko knew he was starting to get angry. Not a full rage, like when she was in danger, but even so Dark was dangerous when ticked off. So Kyoko decided to take action against this, and laid a hand on her half-brother's chest, in exactly the spot where his heart was.
"Stop it, Dark." Kyoko hissed, and for a moment or two her hand became cloaked in dark energy. Dark yelled iand doubled up in pain, and Kyoko snatched her hand away. That was usually enough to snap him out of anger. But even so Kyoko hated using her ability in that way...she didn't want to hurt her brother but she had to to stop him from hurting others. Almost ashamed, Kyoko shook her head and ran a little distance away from the group, hiding under the shadows of a tree. A single tear ran down the side of her face.
"I'm sorry..." she whispered, half to herself and half to Dark, who was still in pain. |

Avven snorted and shook his head, glancing at Dark. "Gah..." he murmered. Spirit wached and steped back, disapointed with Avven. Avven knew what Kyoko was right, she was telling the truth. He was just wanting to meet the guy if he hated him or not. Avven ran over too the girl and sat beside her "Hey, that was my fault, don't get upset."

Kajine sighed again, turning to step over to Dark as her fingers caught fire once more. She knelt down and gently pressed her fingers over the other's heart, glancing up at his face. "Easy, Dark...not everyone is out to get your sister. I understand the bond you have, but I'm sure she's the type who's pretty outgoing," she said gently, lifting Dark's head so he was looking at her. "Relax a little, and fight when it's time." |

Dark looked at Kajine, and then sighed a little.
"You're right...maybe I am too protective of her." he admitted. "It's just...since her mother was killed by a vampire, Kyoko was left scarred inside from the trauma of witnessing that. I vowed that no vampire would ever hurt her...but eventually my hostility extended to anyone I thought would hurt my dear sister..." Dark shook his head a little.
"I still have to stop vampires going anywhere near her, though. No vampires will ever bite her again." he muttered. Then he looked up and smiled a little at Kajine. "And thanks for helping end the pain...Kyoko knows that her power is one of the only things that can snap me out of a rage building up." He looked over at Kyoko, who had looked up at Avven.
"It's just...I always feel guilty about having to use my darkness to stop Dark's anger. I hate causing him pain after how nice he's been to me over the years since a vampire killed my mother." she whispered. She looked up, sharply, as if she heard something. She frowned, shook her head,
"I'm probably hearing things..." she whispered.

"It's alright... You do what you have to do." he said, trying to confort her.
Spirit walked away from Dark and the other female. She looked over at Avven and Kyoko and still walked. She walked past them and down the street.

Kajine smiled slightly, lifting a hand to ruffle the vampire's hair before she stood back up. "Think nothing of it," she said gently. "As long as you know you can't keep everyone away from her forever. She's a nice girl, so she's going to make friends," she said, reaching out to help Dark stand back up. |

Dark accepted Kajine's hand and thanked her when she/he helped him up.
"You're right...maybe I should guard her from more of a distance, instead of stopping anyone from coming anywhere near her. She is a growing girl, after all...she needs to socialise with others instead of me holding her back." he said, quietly. He looked over to Kyoko, who had stood up beside Avven. She was looking around, then up at the sky.
"I swear I keep hearing something..." Kyoko whispered. |
