"Sure." Ever bent her neck down, examining the scar as best as she could. "You have too much fur for this." True joked as she pawed at the fur surrounding his neck, trying to get a better view of the wound. "It looks quite a bit better. It's almost completely healed." She replied. She let out a sigh of relief, thankful it didn't get infected. "By the way, you have extremely white fur." True said, pointing out the obvious. (meant to be a compliment, not putdown xD) She then took her front paw, and messed with your face fur. "I better run..." True then got to her feet, quickly running about twenty feet in the opposite direction, a playful smirk on her face.

"Ah, that's good, and yes, I know True." He gave a small chuckle. When True messed with his hair and ran, he quickly got up and chased after her. "Hey, get back here!" He yelled playfully.

True continued to run around, making large circles around the other sleeping wolves. "Darn, Jath can run for longer than I thought." True said to herself. Slowly, she began to lose her speed, and come to a full stop right around where she was originally. Panting, she allowed her back limbs to fold under her, sitting.

Jath continued to chase True until she stopped. He started to playfully push True with his head to tip her over o her side. "Gotcha True!" he said with excitement.

True laughed as she wiggled around on the ground below. "I... cant... breathe... too much laughing." True said, almost weak from laughter. She then suddenly laid her face onto the ground, and acted completely still, acting as though she had passed out. She held her breath, holding back yet another fit of laughter as she laid still, curious of what Jath would do.

After True went still, Jath's heart sunk. He hadn't killed her from laughter, has she? Jath bent over to look at her face. She wasn't breathing. Jath began to panic inside, and his body twitched with anticipation. "True? TRUE?! TRUUUU!" He howled. He knew it was over. He couldn't smell if she was dead or not, so he just laid down and put his head on True's shoulder. True, no! He thought to himself. I was almost capable of loving you. A single tear dropped from his eye.

True opened her left eye, and saw that Jath had just about entered panic mode. She slowly gathered her legs under her, and flung herself onto her back, grasping Jath's shoulders as she did so. This of course ended in Jath falling. "Whoops. So sorry!" She said, not even thinking about the shock she had probably given him by seeming like she had magically come back to life. "I got ya." She added. Feeling half amused, half guilty for putting him through that after seeing his reaction. His reaction.... could it be that he was thinking of the unspoken? No.. Thats not like him. After all, he was an alpha. True thought, trying to keep her brain from overloading.
((Sorry it took so long. I didn't begin typing until six minutes after your edited post. It wasn't a fail xD))

{{Ololl It's ok. xD}} Jath was startled by True's sudden movement and jumped back and fell. He got up quickly. "Ha-ha! Very funny," he said. He quickly wiped the tear from his eye before True saw. He managed a smile and a chuckle. Phew.. that was a close one! He thought to himself. |

True smiled as well, feeling relieved that she didn't accidentally anger him. "I've noticed you are the only wolf I have ever seen with red eyes. How is that possible?" True asked, knowing he wouldn't have the exact answer, but wanting to know what he had to say about it anyways.

"Because my dear, I am special. I have no idea why I have red eyes for bright white, well, used to be white, now with all this blood on it, fur. It's not normal. But, hey, I'm still alive, so I don't think it has to do with that infectious disease. Thank goodness. I think I'm going to go find a river and wash this off my fur and clean out these cuts." Jath said. "Would you like to come? I'm sure there's a pond we can swim in."

"Me either, actually." Jath admitted. "Maybe we should listen for water? Afterall, there is a pack nearby, why would they nest near no water?" Jath said and trotted ahead. I think I hear it.. this way!"

True perked her ears forward. "I hear it too." She then broke into a sprint as she followed behind, keeping careful watch for any hazardous obstacles along the way. "We are getting close." True said, as she was now able to make out the distinct sound of water hitting stone.

{{Feeling a bit better, so I'll post.}} Shasta lapped at the water eagerly, trying to drink as much as she could to put her hunger at bay. Her ears flicked around, waiting for noise. She hoped nobody would spot her, there was no cover and it was flat ground surrounded by higher ground, easy for other wolves to spot her from higher up. But she couldn't stop lapping at the water, she could swear that she had never tasted anything so good.
Wescot had been silent for the time, but finally, he barked, "Hey, if you guys are going down to the river, I want to come too! I feel a bit grungy." He stood up and wagged his fluffy tail back and forth. He trotted up to True and Jath, who still looked a bit shaky after True pretended to be dead.

Wesot calling after them made Jath jump at first. "AH, uh, oh hey. um, I'm doing fine. What? I mean, uh, sure join us..." Jath stuttered. "Look, I think I can see a pond down there. It's surrounded by the ground we are standing on. See it? A little pond!" Jath said and rushed ahead and jumped down into the pond with a giant splash. He resurfaced and saw that wolf he was chasing earlier, lapping up the water like nobody's business. "Well hello again," Jath said. "I'm not going to eat you this time. No need, I already ate a rabbit." He grinned.

Rain sighed and watched them trail off. She sat their and finally slid down into a laying position. She then began to roll around on the ground as they trailed out of sight. She let out a grunt as she jerked to a stop and flipped her ears up, looking in the distance, and listning to their conservation. She was had excellent hearing. They werent far away, because she could still hear them...

Wescot leaped into the water and created a giant splash. When he paddled through the water underneath the surface, he could hear muffled voices. He popped his head up and saw Jath talking to a wolf. But it wasn't any wolf, it was his sister, Shasta. He looked up at the sky. He could see the full moon behind the clouds in the beautiful sunset. Suddenly, Wescot became very nervous. "Jath, get back! She's infected!" he barked.
Shasta flattened her ears and curled her tail under her bottom. She slowly started to back away.
She felt...different. The different feeling that came every night...
