Rhazet returned Xylon's smile. "Thanks." she said and nodded. She glanced nervously in Curren's direction, wondering if she should leave, now that her question was answered, or if she should stay, because she had put it to the alpha, who wasn't given a chance to reply. Rhazet knew it would be rude to walk away, so she hesitated, pretending to take a sudden interest in a little green bug that was discreetly making its way throught the thick matt of grass as she waited for Curren's response.

Curren sat up. "Well, Akime howled to gather wolves to go hunting." He explained. "She also brought a wolf into the territory from the Nothing, and I had Xylon escort the wolf back to the Nothing. Akime is now in danger of being hunted down and killed." He shook his head at the thought. "She went into the nothing." -- Akime nodded. On three... She thought. She crept closer, her steps becoming slower and more quiet as the Elk became closer and closer. She turned her head back to Kanya and Svali, and mouthed the word 'One.' She then watched the injured elk with impatient amber eyes, planning her attack. -- Bangle looked at Ohjain, and one of his ears went flat to his head. "Thank me? For what?" He asked. "All I did was growl." Lythia sat down. Hopefully Krael would have some respect for other wolves now instead of picking on lower ranked wolves, especially Aerya.

Ohjain shrugged. "Well, you just stook up for us I guess." Haji thought the same thing as Lythia. ~ "Two." Kanya whispered as she stalked closer to her prey.

((Oreos. Sorry to interrupt, but this seems like a great thread. Can I join as an outcast that wandered into Kohzar territory and got hunted into Redwood territory? That way, it wouldn't matter as much if I didn't recognise peoples personalities or strengths or things that have already happened. Plus, Redwood could get an Omega. If I can join, here's my bio.)) Name: Aristotelis Age:12 moons Gender:Male Looks:Average-sized snowy coloured wolf with quite large paws. Golden eyes. Pack:Redwood Rank:Omega Personality:Dark. Reclusive. Keeps to himself, but follows orders till the end. History: Hasn't spoken of it yet. Crush: Open Other: Hates all Kohzars with a vengeance. ((Is it ok if I have just the one? I'm not so good at keeping track of them all yet... I got a male to kind of even it out and make that fair, since I'm a girl. Again, sorry for interrupting.))
Well now. I should... Probably put something intelligent here. At some point. Eventually. ... ... Screw it. HYE. ♥

((YT: 4 moons is 4 months, right? Because a wolf is at its full size at 9 months, and is considered a full grown adult at 2 years.)) Xylon nodded in silent agreement to what Curren had said. ~~~ 'Three,' mouthed Svali, then sprang after the elk, her lithe form trailing just inches behind it as it fled. She fought the urge to turn and see if the others were following. They are, don't look back or the elk'll escape. she thought. ~~~ Krael lay in a pitiful heap on the ground, licking gingerly at the wounds he had sustained. ~~~ Aerya padded silently towards Bangle, Ohjain, and Lythia. She dipped her head, and without looking at any of them, said "What was that all about? It looked like a pretty vicious fight. Are you three okay?"

Ohjain shrugged. "Just a test to see who's the tougher wolf, I guess." He answered Aerya. "We're all okay." ~ Kanya sprang toward the elk, and ahead of Svali. She bit the elk's hind leg, the limping one. The elk pitifully went down. It wasn't quite dead yet.

"That's good," Aerya said, looking up at the wolves now, but not daring to look them in the eye. She wanted to ask Bangle about what had happened earlier, but she didn't think anyone was supposed to know, so she kept quiet. I will get another opportunity, I know it, she thought. ~~~ ((I think we should wait for Kupa before we kill it))

Rhazet blinked incredulously. "She went into the Nothing?" she asked disbelievingly. Rhazet would have liked to comment that that was quite a brave act, but Curren didn't look like he would agree. That was before she realized the Alpha had also said that Akime would be killed. "Oh," she whispered, considering that fact. "You wouldn't let that happen, will you?" she asked, although it was evident that the Alpha would be able to do nothing if the Kohzars wished to stick to their rules. Her fur bristled at the thought of the Kohzars attacking one of her packmates, and she promised herself she would do everything in her power to keep Akime safe. Rhazet gave the Alpha and Beta a last dip of the head and got up and loped away in the direction of the hunting grounds. ~ Azrul-Ryne quietly trotted over to Krael and dropped near him a clump of herbs he had just dug up. "You might find these useful." he said, with a trace of contempt in his voice. "By the way, next time don't get so cocky." A smirk appeared in his dark face. "It really is shameful tol see the head fighter in tatters after a tussle with three of his own pack members."

Xylon watched as Rhazet ran off. He dipped his head once more to Curren before walking off himself. ((Fail)) ~~~ Krael stood up as soon as he saw Ryne. Ignoring the herbs altogether, he said "I have a right to be cocky. I am a good fighter," he looked Ryne directly in the eyes. Realizing that the fight he had just been in didn't exactly do anything to prove his claim, Krael added, "That fight wasn't exactly fair, I was outnumbered three to one. I can hold my own in any fight so long as it is... even." His stance was defensive as he spoke, and his amber eyes glinted angrily.

Azrul-Ryne raised an eyebrow as if to ask, "Oh really?" He stared right back at Krael, cold blue eyes glinting with quiet amusement of his hostility. "So you think in a war, they're going to come at you one at a time?" He remarked, then shrugged. "I am not a fighter, so who am I to say? But I'd suggest you put that to use." Hw pointed his muzzle at the leaves, then walked away without another word.

Krael was silent as he watched the wolf walk away. He couldn't help but wonder why Ryne would bother to bring him the herbs. Secretly, Krael was grateful he had. As soon as Ryne was completely out of sight, Krael stooped down to pick up a few herbs in his jaws. He chewed them, and the taste was terrible. Almost instantly, he felt the sharp, stabbing pain recede to a dull ache. ~~~ Xylon wandered aimlessly in the Redwood territory. He found himself unable to stop thinking about Bangle's unfortunate situation. Despite everything Xylon had been taught, he began walking towards The Nothing. No, he'll be fine. I just need to worry about myself. he told himself, yet continued walking at the same time. What if they do punish him, then what? he thought. Soon, Xylon was at the border. Do I cross? It won't do any harm if I make sure Bangle is the only one who sees me. Tentatively, he stepped over the border with one paw, as if waiting for something to happen as soon as he crossed. It'll be fine, he thought, I just need to keep out of sight. After a moment of just standing there, Xylon thought I really am stupid, then trotted further into The Nothing.

(I'm posting from my phone and the enter key does not work. I won't be able to make more than one paragraph, so I'll just say when I'm switching from one character to another.) Lythia stood up and began to walk away. She ran into the woods to go look at the Redwood land from her pack's side of the border, but she saw a silver wolf coming into the Nothing. She didn't know if he could see her, but either way, he was breaking the rules. Lythia quietly crept behind him, wondering what the intruder would do. (switching to Curren) Curren froze as Rhazet asked 'you wouldn't let that happen, would you?' The words echoed in his head and fear became visible in his eyes. He'd let wolves be killed for going to the Nothing several times before. (switching to Akime.) Akime bit at the elk's throat, blood filling her mouth. She bit down harder, and eventually the elk stopped breathing. She let go, and looked at the elk, and could see the fear still in its dead eyes. (switching to Bangle) Bangle sat.

Haji watched Lythia walk away, and walked in the oppisate way like nothing had happened. He chuckled when he remembered how "strong" Krael was. ~ "Good job guys." Kanya nodded to the wolves. She thought for a moment. "How are we gonna bring this back to Redwood?"

[[Ok. Thanks. ^-^ I'll just post him wandering aimlessly around and smelling blood off an elk. If thats ok.]] Ari walked. He had never lived so long on his own, and missed the company of other wolves. Nore had he ever gone without food for so long; looking back, he realized he could see his ribs. I'm on my last ounce of strength,he decided. He knew that he was too weak to go on another hunt, and all his previous attempts had failed. He had very few options left, and all of them relied upon chance. He migh get lucky, find a dying elk. Or a dead one might be better. But he'd never be able to fight off any other predators that came to steal his kill. He might happen upon another loner that was willing to spare some food. But loners were outcasts for a reason. The loner would most likely kill him, just to give himself something to do. He sighed as he realized his only hope was to find a friendly pack, willing to take in a wolf they don't know, from a pack they don't know. He realized it was futile and was about to collapse when he smelt something. He stuck his nose in the air, this new smell giving him hope. Blood. He started to lope towards it, but quickly collapsed. He staggered to his feet, determined to make it to this blood. It would either be food or another wolf. Either way, he had to try. But just in case... He howled. A long, low, piercing howl that would send shivvers down your spine. Collapsing again, he stumbled to his feet and mde his way forward at an agonizingly slow pace.

"Just drag it." Akime said. "It's not that far." That's when she heard the howl. She was afraid, but Akime was also very strong. "What was that?" Her voice stayed at the same tone. She couldn't help but wonder if it was a wolf from Nothing, who had come to hunt her down. She pulled her lips back into a snarl, waiting for whoever had howled to dare and take just one step toward her. Fear ran through Akime's blood, and the fear made her feel cornered and like she needed to defend herself. Growling, she stared toward the direction of the howl and snarled, "Get out here where I can see you!"
