Sethera's smile brighted as he thought of meeting his bonded dragon for the first time. He pushed back all other emotions and let his excietment rule him.

Taylor closed her eyes and sought sifted through the memories of her mind. Her knowledge and everything else until she found a wild connection. When she focused on that one thought, she could feel the thunder of her own paws against the forest. She stopped and perked her ears, panting heavily. Come Shadow. It is time. She said to him and he instantly responded by turning to his left and loping through the forest. Excitement simmered through him as Taylor's conscience mixed with his.

Regretfully, Taylor pulled out of the connection, sensing he was near. Sure enough, the pure black wolf stepped out of the fringe of trees and into the sunlight. The blue markings on his fur shone brightly and Taylor squinted her eyes as he walked over and nuzzled her. He looked down at her with the same gray/silver eyes she had with pure loyalty and care. She scratched him behind the ear and swiftly climbed onto the back of his neck to sit in the hollow on the back of his neck. "We should set out now. Call Draithe to you Seth." She said to him, all the while, stroking Shadow's thick black fur.

Taylor looked at Valaria. "Your going to take Sirish right?" She asked.

Name: Shadow >:D

Gender: Male

Age: Teenish, but is wise beyond his years.

Looks: Shadow is an all black wolf the size of a large grizzly. He has jet black fur and pulsing blue markings that run down his flank. The sapphire markings start at a V around his neck, curl around the back of his neck, loop around his ears, and travel down the bridge of his snout, framing his eyes. They then continue down his back line and travel to the tip of his tail.

History: Because of his strange markings, Shadow was kicked out of his pack and left stranded in the forest, forced to fight for himself. Taylor found him a few years later and took him in. Now he is loyal and faithful to her and her only. He will only trust those Taylor trusts and will risk his life for her.

Appearance; Draithe has onyx black markings that look like stripes that look like lightning flashing across his hard scales. He stands at 14 Hh at the shoulders and that is the size of a small horse. Across his four shoulders is a light padded saddle made out of black dyed leather.

History; Draithe was abandond as a pup because of who knows what. Sethera found him and took him in, secretly caring for the young Thanator and being careful that nobody saw him. He trusts Sethera completely, though he is still weary of other people.

Sethera nodded when Shadow came up to Taylor. Crouching down, he let the fingers of his right hand rest lightly on the ground. Letting his mind wander through the tips of his fingers, he felt the presence of Draithe. The Thanator had brought down a deer and was finishing his breakfast. Sethera smiled.

"Draithe, my friend, you are needed," Sethera said to his friend. Draithe's head lifted from his meal and he took off; his double front legs carrying him far. Sethera returned to his own body and stood up just as the Thanator came into view.

Draithe's eyes were narrowed against the wind, but even Sethera could tell they were full of exceitment. Sliding to a stop in front of the boy, Draithe lashed his tail once and knelt down so Sethera could mount on the saddle he had placed there a few years back. Once in place, Draithe straightened his four front legs and shook his head slightly before the boy took a hold of the two fleshy antennae that sprout from the back of Draithe's skull.

 Taylor felt Shadow's emotions swirl around her mind. There was anticipation and excitement, but also sadness. What is wrong? She asked him and he swiveled his head around to meet her eyes. I do not wish to lose you. He said and Taylor smiled before hugging his neck. You won't lose me, silly. Your the most loyal and best friend I've ever had and nothing can change that. We're like this. She said and held up two crossed fingers. You won't lose me, you'll just be sharing me. She thought to him and his ex
pression lifted. Taylor glanced up at Seth. "Ready when you are." She said, her voice tinged with excitement.

Just as Sether was about to answer Taylor, he felt anxiety rolling off of Draithe. He could also feel other emotions swirl through his mind's eye. "Draithe, what is wrong?" Sethera inquired. The Thanator closed up his emotions and shook his head slightly before giving a single lash of his tail, as if telling Sethera 'nothing.' Sighing, he turned back to Taylor. "Let's go," he said, smiling.

Nudging Draithe with his heels, Sethera urged the Thanator on. Draithe bobbed his head slightly and trotted after Taylor and Shadow. Sethera smiled and took one hand off the fleshy antenna to rest it on the pommel of his hand-and-a-half sword.

Styx returned to the Dragon's nest with a fully belly and content for the time being. Landing just outside her den, she furled her wings against her black scaled sides and layed down to bask in the warming sun.

Shadow's familiar walking motion underneath Taylor calmed them both. Taylor let her mind become her own, dispatching itself from Shadow's. He twitched his ears, but kept his pace. Taylor looked up at Sethera, admiring how warrior-like he looked with his hand on his sword. She felt her cheeks get warm at the thought and looked ahead again.

As Sethera kept his eyes focused on the horizon ahead of them, he noticed that Taylor blushed slightly and a smile curved his lips as his yellow eyes gleamed. Urging Draithe into a faster gait, he called to Taylor; "Race you there?"
