I nodded grimly. Here was a test of my strength. Crap. Clinging as best I could to the boy's hand and to the cliff-side, I slowly stood on the gnarled branch of the tree. Luckily for me it was tough, having withstood years of the lashing seawater and wind on this cliff. Dragging my hand up slowly I carefully planted it on the edge of the cliff, my nails screeching as I aciddentally dragged them on the stone.
'Sorry,' I gasped to the boy.
Getting a firm hold on the stone was not easy, but I managed it and soon had one knee up on the cliff-edge, my other leg still standing tippy-toed on the tree branch.
'I think I'll need some help here.'
