"Thanks," Kris said quietly, and sat on the opposite side. She put in her earbuds and stared out of the window. She looked at all of the moms and dads, hugging their kids, promising they'll miss them and see them as soon as they can. She sighed, and looked at the sign declaring that this was indeed platform nine and three-quarters. At least the sign was a lot less painful.

Sai bit his lip and said, "Please, slow down when talking, hard for to understand." Sai trotted alongside thwe strange, happy girl, poitning to an empty compartment near the front of the train, slipping inside and sitting near the window. "What name?" He asked, tilting his pale-skinned head to the side, dark bangs falling over a dark eye.

"What's your name?" Dusk said in an emotionless voice, staring straight at the girl as if she could see right through to her soul, but she couldn't. She couldn't see anything and she never would be able to. Her only 'sight' was her enhanced senses, but even they failed her sometimes...

Kris took her earbuds out, and turned towards the girl. "I'm Kris," she said, her golden eyes blinking rapidly. "Who might you be, if I may ask?" she asked.

"Dusk." She said quietly, resuming her blank search for darkness, which wasn't too hard. She blinked ehr blind eyes and saw something she had never heard of before. A thin silvery line appeared in the darkness and she stared at it. What was it and why was it there. She looked over at Kris, but she hadn't seen it, she didn't think...

Kylie hummed to herself as she walked to the empty compartment, slower this time. "Sorry," She said with a grin, not loosing her bubbly personality. She plopped down on the seat, placing her feet on the seat in front of her. "I'm Kylie!" She said, making sure to speak a bit slower. "What's your name?" She asked with a grin. A small ob
ject caught Kylie's eye as she asked this: A stray string on her black robe. She grabbed it and twirled it around her finger, making part of the robe scrunch up in a small area. ((I fail! xD)) |

((xD Cori's always happy to sit next to cute boys too.)) Corrine stared around her in awe, looking at the magnificent train before herr, and leaning over the rails to touch it. "Look, Rose. This is what's taking us to Hogwarts." She hugged her pet's cage into her chest, green eyes filled with wonder. Grabbing her trolley, Cori stepped to te boarding area, fishing a ticket out of her cardigan. As she stepped to give the conductor her ticket, she bumped into a boy with a white and silver scarf. He seemed a bit sullen, as if he had eaten something bad. She smiled brightly. "Sorry!" Corrine sa her ticket to the conductor. She shuffled through the train, looking at the filled sections. She came across one with two girls in it, and knocked on the glas.s, smiling and sliding the door open. "D'ya mind if I sit with you?"

"Nice to meet, Kylie-san." Saikan gave a slight smile, gathering his knees under him, and taking his hood down. "I am Lin Saikan, but you may call me Sai, or Sai-san." He looked out the window, and down at the letter he held in his hand. "What house does Kylie want?" he asked her, pointing to the four symbols on a row on his trunk, bearing the kanji for his name on the side.

Jess glared at the girl who had bumped him before shrugging and moving on. He stepped onto the train and looked around. It was all ready filled with students. He managed to navagate himself to the back and found a, thankfully, empty area to sit. He flopped down onto the seat and kicked his feet up onto the one in front of him. He slouched down and pulled out his wand, running his fingers over the gray wood and lost in thought. ------------- The men had finally convinced Alex to board the train, without Chess, and he was now looking for a place to sit. He didn't really want to intrude on someone's conversation so he was hoping to find an empty compartment before they were all taken. When he couldn't find one, he looked around nervously, praying that someone might offer him a seat so he didn't make a bigger fool out of himself than he already had. Chess had brought a lot of attention to himself and Alex on the platform. |

"Sai-san," Kylie repeated with a grin. She laughed lightly, liking the sound of it. "Well, Sai-san, nice to meet you too." Kylie paused and looked out the window too, seeing nothing but brick so far. She grinned widely as she felt the train jerk back. That meant they were going to go foreward very soon. As if on key, the train started to move quickly, exiting the train station and entering a world of amazement for Kylie. Her attention was jerked back to reality when Sai asked her a question. "Uhm... RavenClaw! House of the smart and quick witted!" Kylie grinned and paused again. "What about you Sai-san?" Kylie never forgot to slow her speaking down, knowing it was hard for Sai to understand her.

"Slytherin. House of power and determination." Sai said, pronouncing the house name carefully, very determined to say it in perfect english. "Hopefully houses do not break freindships, Ky-san." He rooted around in a backpack he had dropped on the ground, pulling out several onigiri and offered one to Kylie, holding out the white triangle while he ate one, looking out the window. "I just came to London two days ago, and already lost cat." He said, with a sheepish grin. Looking out the window, Sai could almost imagine he was back in Japan, riding the rickety old train to town every other Tuesday, next to Oroka-ue, his friend Oroana's mother. He sighed, finishing one onigiri and staring on another, compleletly soacing out to the flashes of green outside the window.

"No house should ever break a friendship of mine, Sai-san!" Kylie said confidently, grinned broadly as she always did. Kylie reached her hand out and took the onigiri. "What's this?" She asked, wrinkling her nose. Kylie wasn't one to eat something when she didn't know what it was. She put the food on her knee, keeping it balanced so it wouldn't fall. "Is that thing edible?" She asked, eyeing the onigiri with weary eyes. "You lost a cat?" Kylie suddenly asked. She finally processed what he said after she took the food from Sai. "How'd ya do that?"

Cori dragged her trolley down the aisle of the train, looking into the compartments, most of them filled. She came across one train compartment filled with only a boy and a girl, seeminly deep into a conversation. She knocked gently on the glas.s and slid open the door, shyly entering. "Mind if I sit with you?" Corrine said, looking at the two with a sheepish grin on her face. From the trolley, Rose meowed loudly, wanting to see the inside of the train and get out of her cage. Quickly Cori shushed the cat, looking back at the other two, apologizing for Rose's rude interruption.
