Kanshi smiled and walked up to the water for a drink. He  bent down and began to lap at the water and sat down when he was done. "Ugh i can't even talk to my brother at all!" He growled to himself with a frown. He and his brother used to be so close and now they were so different. There were times where they disagreed on something but they usually got over it within a few moments or a day at max. It had never lasted this long before and he hoped it would end soon.

Merken couldn't hold himself back from going over to Shii. He walked over to her and sat down noticing she was still awake. "Shii, are you okay? " he asked softly so that he wouldn't wake Dessen from his sleep. He had seen smile at the cubs but didn't know why she looked sad about them too.

Terishka laughed as Vulena pounced on him "where's your pride Vul?" He asked as he mentioned the nickname he had given her. She frowned and got off him. "I ran away from them after my mom got sick" she said as she looked at the ground. Terishka walked over and nudged her shoulder "my parents died too so me and my brother left and we came here, he went with that male lion and i went with Merken" Terishka said with a small smile "You can stay with us! Merken wont mind, he lets anyone stay here pratically that's why hes so cool!" Vulena smiled at what Terishka had said "okay!" she answered with a smile.

"Yes," she said not lifting her head from Dessen's side. Her coat shined a bit, and her eyes had a blank stare. She didn't feel like crying.

Dessen remained in a deep sleep. He dreamed of chasing something, an antelope. His legs twitched.

Krov looked at Kanshi "dont worry about it. It happens to alot of brothers and sisters." he said and looked at the water and sees him the taps the water and the water goes all blurry then sees his reflection but looks like his own father. "we all gotta move on sometime." Krov frowned.

Saya knew why Krov was frowning she was frowning two then licked kanshi's cheek and licked the water.

Kanshi nodded and yawned "I'm gonna go take a nap for a bit.." he said before giving a small yawn and starting towards pride rock. He walked sleepily up the path to the den and went inside and laid down with a sigh. He almost instantly closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Merken frowned at Shii and went back towards the den "We should go hunt soon" He said before walking into the den an laying down after giving Lachen a nudge to wake up. "You sleep too much go play with the cubs" Merken said as he drifted off to sleep. Lachen opened his eyes with a confused face. Did he just say cubs with an s? Lachen thought as he stood up and walked out to see Terishka and another cub playing together. He smiled and walked up to the two "aww look at you guys just playing around here" Lachen said with a large goofy smile on his face.

Terishka laughed at Lachen "This is Vulena, Lachen  we were just talking about how shes gonna stay with us!" Terishka said as he looked from Vulena then back at Lachen who smiled at the young cub and nodded.

Merken opened his eyes to see daylight outside of the den. He rose to his paws and looked over to see Terishka and Vulena piled up together with tired expressions on their faces. He let them sleep since they had probably been playing non stop since he met her. He walked out of the den and saw Lachen already awake and on the cliff looking out for a herd that was close enough to them so they wouldnt have to go far for breakfast. "good morning~" Lachen said as he came down from the path and leaped down infront of Merken with a wide smile "There's a herd of zebra just a ways over there" he said as he pointed towards the large tree that Terishka had played at with his brother. Merken nodded his thanks and yawned he guessed it was still pretty early.

Shii raised her head from Dessen's side. She yawned and stretched her legs. She saw that Merken and Lachen were already awake. A grumbling sound erupted, her stomach. She then heard Lachen mention zebras, her favorite of all the animals.

Dessen woke up to the sound of grumbling, Shii's stomach. "Hungry, sis?" He chuckled.

Saya woke up and ran around and tugged on Kanshi's ear playfully "wake up kan!!!." she yelled then whimperd.

Krov woke up when Saya yelled "Kanshi wake up you and Saya are gonna hunt two baby antalopes today one for each of ya." he said tiredly

Kanshi felt someone tugging on his ear and opened his eyes sleepily to see Saya looking at him with a smile on her face. He smiled and stood up and gave a wide yawn. "Okay!" he said as he shook his fur to wake himself up a bit. He trotted out of the den and looked at the early morning sun with a sigh. He trotted down the path and looked at Saya. "hmm ok here's what we'll do, i'm just gonna go for the one in front" he said as they watched the two antelope babies that were next to each other, one in front and one in back. "Once the other one runs away from me you can jump out and get it okay?" Kanshi finished with a smile as he started towards the herd low and quiet. He stopped a bit away from the first antelope baby and waited until Saya was in her spot behind the back one. He jumped out and easily got the first one and watched as the second one ran towards Saya.

Merken heard someone talking in the cave and noticed that Shii and Dessen were awake. He walked inside with a small smile "I'm going to let the cubs watch us hunt so they can catch on" Merken said as he watched the two wake up a bit more.

Saya nodded and crouched down in the gras.s like Krov at taught them and waited for Kanshi to make his move. Saya saw the antalope in the back run away. Saya ran after it and leaped up and bit its neck and brought it to the ground "yay i did it!."

Krov stood at the end of pride rock and looked down at the to cubs trying to catch their pray "they are going to make good hunters one day." Krov said and sat still watching them.

Saya ran over to krov "hey Krov can me and Kanshi go to the big tree and play?"she asked and jumped around. Krov nodded and Saya ran off and tackled Kanshi "lets go to the big tree!" she said and ran to the gras.s

Kanshi laughed and pushed her off before chasing her into the brush. They rushed through the trees and slowed down when they got closer to the long gras.s. They both stopped in their tracks when they saw that two darker colored cubs were already there, running and leaping gracefully over the leaning tree as if they had been practicing. A closer look and Kanshi noticed it was Terishka and Vulena, though this time he hoped that They would like to join his pride instead of starting an arguement. "Hey Terishka, do you two want to join our pride?" He said smiling up at the two who had stopped and stood to look down at the two from the tree. "
No thanks me and Teri already have our own pride!" Vulena said answering for Terishka who nodded agreeingly.

Kanshi's mouth dropped "What!!? But Teri and I had promised that we would be the two best kings around!" Kanshi said with a large frown as he spoke up to the two.

"Not anymore, now I'm going to be the only best king around"Terishka said with a small attitude as he gave a small frown down at his brother who stood there wide eyed at what Terishka was telling him. Vulena gave a small smile "and i'm going to be the best queen around!" she said as she gave a small glare back at Saya.

Vulena snarled at her and stood on her toes "Terishka already told his brother that he said he was wrong and said that the only important thing is that it gets done!!" She said as she tackled Saya to the ground with claws unshethed. She bit Saya hard on her shoulder snarling up at her with a gaze full of fire.

"Saya!" Kanshi yelped in alarm as he saw that she had been tackled by Vulena and was about to help her but heard a low growl and stopped.

Terishka growled down at Kanshi "Touch Vul and I'll rip your paws off!" Terishka snarled as he also tackled Kanshi to the ground. He clamped his jaws on Kanshi's left paw while Teri's paws held Kanshi's down so that they wouldn't swing at them. 

Kanshi snarled and bit into Terishka's ear trying to pull him off of him but wouldn't budge. He guessed that instead of hunting Teri and Vul had been learning how to fight. He didn't want his brother to be like this. He never would've wanted his brother to become this different and he knew it was too late to change his brother's mind about becoming in his pride. He opened his wincing eyes to see Krov rushing towards them. Terishka and Vulena jumped off and Saya and Kanshi quickly slid behind Krov as he growled at Terishka and Vulena. Terishka stood infront of Vulena puffing his chest out as bravely as he could. He wasn't scared of Krov and he wasn't about to show it infront of Vulena or his brother.

Saya kicked Vulena off of her and leaped on her like she was taught to. She bit Vulena's arm and pinned her down.

With out minutes notice Krov bust through the bush and growled deeply and took Saya off of Vulena and Terishka off of Kanshi "Kanshi! Saya go home now!" he yelled and then looked at Terishka "sorry for their attitude Terishka," he said and started to walk off.

Vulena was about to tackle Saya once more but watched as Krov jumped out. Terishka was about to say something to what Krov had said as he watched Kanshi and Saya start to head towards their den, with a couple deep wounds. Terishka watched them and was glad that all he had gotten was a torn ear from his brother pulling on it. He flinched when Merken walked up behind them with a large disturbed face "What's happened?" He said with a small edge to his voice as he stepped infront of Vulena and Terishka noticing that they were wounded.

Kanshi walked unsteadily next to Saya with a large frown. "I can't believe that just happened.." he said as he walked with Saya back towards Pride Rock. "Me and him had always talked about being the two best males in the area, i dont know whats gotten into him, we used to be so close" he said as his eyes were planted on the ground.
