OoC: Whee, Larkshade is a mentor. :3 Also, this post reflects my lack of creativity and brain power greatly. DX
BiC:
Larkshade was lying down in the shade of a large tree, watching other cats pass by intently. One would think that there was something in particular that she was observing, but in reality, Larkshade had nothing to do, and this was how she preferred to pass the time.
Icepool came to join her, sitting down beside her sister and following her gaze. Even though they were sisters, Icepool always got confused when Larkshade looked ahead with such an intensity. Every time Larkshade did that, Icepool always had to look in the same direction, thinking that there was something of interest up ahead.
"There's nothing to do," Icepool complained. "And it's too hot right now to do anything that doesn't involve shade." The black she-cat glanced up at the sun, which had reached it's highest point in the sky, then blinked her icy eyes and looked away. Larkshade didn't reply for a moment, but then she suddenly straightened herself and looked in a different direction.
"Well, you probably have something to do now," Larkshade flicked her tailtip in the direction of Hawkfeather, along with Nightfrost, Thistlepaw and her own apprentice, Rainpaw, coming in their direction. "I think Hawkfeather's here to organize the sun-high patrol." She stood up abruptly, knowing that Rainpaw and her would probably have to train now.
OoC: I failed. ;w; Also, I have no idea how to describe Larkshade training Rainpaw. I don't really know what she would be taught at 10 moons old. So, any suggestions?

Ooc; Hmm. I'm not sure. Getting her ready for the assesment? By the way, Swallowpaw is without a mentor for now because I didn't want to pair her up myself. I'm getting Foxtail15 to do it. x_x;
Hawkfeather listened to Nightfrost. "I have to agree with you when Thistlepaw and Rainpaw become warriors." he meowed, almost letting out a purr. As soon as Nightfrost mentioned Cliffclan, he was lost in his thoughts again. What if there was a battle? What if cats died? What if Smalltail left the clan? What if--- "It's certainly a risk. We'll patrol more in Leafbare, likely. Birds fly south and that limits their prey." Hawkfeather meowed. Then, he entered the camp with long easy strides, before surveying the camp. He saw Icepool and Larkshade, and numerous cats eating and some just sunning themselves in the sun. "Nightfrost." he meowed. "Could you gather cats for the Sun-High patrol? No mentors though. They'll work with the apprentices. I need to get a drink." With that, he padded out of the camp, and down to the stream.

Just call me Dragon. It takes less time to type. :3
And that's fine. I guess we all get a bit of a blockage every once in a while.

Nightfrost flicked his tail in acknowledgement. "You heard the cat, go pester your mentors now," he said absently to the apprentices, who scurried off, both shooting him looks of varying degrees of annoyance and perhaps a little anger. He watched Rainpaw hurry off towards her mentor, Larkshade, and noted Icepool sitting next to her. He picked his way over to her, ignoring Rainpaw's sharp, curious glance.
"Hawkfeather wants me to gather some cats for the sun-high patrol. "You're welcome to come, but if you could round up another cat or two who isn't a mentor, that would be great," he meowed, dipping his head to the she-cat before turning padding off. Who else...? Thrushwing was likely in his nest sleeping, and judging by his hurried entrance earlier, Nightfrost figured that he likely didn't want to be bothered. StarClan, that tom can be such a pain, he thought, with a slight twinge of pity. Every cat had their moments.
Glancing around, he spotted Rosefur, and made his way over to her. He looked at her odd, greenish-blue colored eyes--something that was a great curiosity to him. It wasn't uncommon to see a cat with blue or green eyes, but one with eyes a mix of both colors, was, to him, very interesting. She didn't seem to be doing anything, not that he was one to judge, but he trotted up to her anyway, and meowed a brief greeting.
"Would you be interesting in joining the sun-high patrol? Hawkfeather asked me to gather some cats, and with any luck Icepool will round another one or two up. But you don't look like you're busy, so if you'd like to join us, feel free," Nightfrost explained briskly, flicking his tail absently. He turned away without waiting for her reply, and made his way back to the center of the camp to wait for more orders from his deputy.
---
Rainpaw sat down next to Larkshade, and busied herself in washing her ears. "It certainly is warm today, I hope whenever we have our assessment we'll be able to hunt in the woods where it's cooler, because I doubt this weather will be letting up anytime soon." She shot her mentor a sideways glance. "Do you have anything planned for today? I know Thistlepaw and I will probably have an assessment coming up soon, and I wasn't sure if you wanted to work on anything related to that," she meowed casually, trying to suppress her excitement about having a chance to finally earn her warrior name.
(( I'm not sure where Spiritflame is, so I'm not exactly certain what to do with Thistlepaw. ))

Shadefire nodded her head, cocking it to one side as she heard of what ailed the older she-cat. Popping up to her paws, she made her way back into her den and back into the storage area. Though she stopped at the piles of herbs she had sorted through. At least the Ragwort leaves were still good. With a faint sigh, she pulled one of the dried Dock leaves from the pile to get rid of before acquiring the other leaves and some juniper berries. Quickly crushing and chewing the Ragwort leaves, she spat them back out into the leaf. Carefully adding the berries, she gingerly picked up the dried dock leave in her jaws and carried it back to Whitestream.
“Eat this. It will help with your joints and give you a bit of strength,” the medicine cat said as soon as she set it down. “It looks like you need some.”
The black cat had noticed that the older she-cat before her seemed a bit lackluster in the eyes, but in her knowledge of herb lore, she knew nothing that could bring back a bit of alertness. So she hoped a bit of extra strength would help with the white she-cat.
~xXx~
Spiritflame sat next to her mate as she watched her two warrior kits battle it out in the training area. Even though their claws were sheathed, they were still going after each other with everything they had. Apparently, it was over something about prey…? Ah, StarClan truly knows. She could only make out the word “prey” in their constant bickering. Flicking her fluffy tail, she felt a nose on her shoulder to see her mate, Thunderstrike, looking up at her with those calm blue eyes she fell for.
“Toms will be toms. There is no point in trying to unravel them. Besides, they will wear themselves out in no time and this little scuffle will be behind them,” the tom mewed. Spiritflame blinked. This was the longest speech he had ever given. Thunderstrike always seemed a bit reserved when it came to speaking, though the opposite could be said about his fighting.
“Besides, don’t you have an apprentice to teach?” he asked, purring as he did so.
The gray-she cat jumped to her paws. How could she forget about Thistlepaw! She seemed so caught up with watching her two male kits duke it out, she forgot about the little she-cat. With a sigh, she nosed her mate’s ear in thanks before trotting off to go look for her apprentice.

Specklepaw watched Shadefire with interest she liked being the medicine's cats apprentice "hey Shadefire is their anything that you need me to collect?" she asked sitting down and watching the she cat with interest.
Foxtail sat in the training hollow looking for Swallowpaw and waiting for the apprentice to find her...
Leopardstar sat by the edge of her den looking over her clan as they all worked as she pondered the idea of what the starclan could have meant with their warning and how her clan would be okay.
[sorry completely braindead at the moment...]

Whitestream sniffed the herbs before chewing them. She
forced them down, and dipped her head towards the medicine cat. "Thank
you." she meowed. Then, she padded out of the den, and crept into the
warriors den, curling up into her bed of moss, and fell asleep with
ease. She awoke shortly after she fell asleep, and looked around. Light
streamed into the warriors den, and she couldn't see any other cats in
the den. She let out a sigh, and tested her legs, stretching
them gingerly, afraid that she might overdo it. With satisfaction, her
muscles didn't seem to scream pain. You have to forget about the past. Her little voice murmured. But another part of her screamed, You can live in grief as long as you want, nobody's stopping you! She shook her head and exited the warriors den. Taking a small mouse from the fresh-kill pile, she padded over to a shady spot to eat.
~
Swallowpaw exited the apprentice's den and let out a yawn. She exited the camp, and set off for her mentor. She was eager for some training, she wanted to become a warrior and help apprentices of her own someday. But, if she could just lose a bit of fear. She sniffed the air, and all she smelled was prey. She explored a bit, until she finally could smell Foxtail, at the training grounds. Swallowpaw bounded off at once, reaching the training grounds in good time. "Foxtail?" she meowed, looking around for her mentor.

Thistlepaw nosed around the training area, searching for any sign of her mentor, Spiritflame. She had followed the adult she-cat's scent here, but at the moment she couldn't pick the trail back up. Slipping through a small clump of ferns, she found her nose nearly pressed flat against a large rock. With a short hiss of annoyance, she scrambled over it and scented the air, noting several familiar cat scents and managing to pick out the one she was looking for. Once she was certain which direction the scent was coming from, she darted off again, only to find herself back on the trail she had taken to get to the training grounds.
Thistlepaw snarled in frustration and sat down, swiping at a small clump of grass. She flicked her paw to dislodged the remaining pieces of plant matter, and stood up again, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath. When she felt she had calmed down some, she scented the air again, but there were multiple reasons why she was not a good hunter, and locating prey was one of them. Apparently locating cats was no different.
With no idea where to look, the pale tortoiseshell apprentice wandered back towards the training grounds with the knowledge that at least the other apprentices and mentors were likely to show up there before long, and there was a chance that her own mentor might be with them.
(( Poor Thistlepaw, she has no tracking skills. I hate this post, but I'm so braindead right now, I have no idea what to type. ))

(Question: Do Streamclan cats hunt well in trees? :| And do they ever catch fish in the streams? o-o Too many questions. >.<)
Larkshade glanced at Rainpaw, then nodded. "I've seen that you can hunt perfectly well on the ground, but I'd like to see you put your skills into hunting from trees. It doubles as a way to attack enemies, as well." Larkshade stood up abruptly. "Come," she ordered.
The black she-cat led her apprentice towards a large, sturdy-looking tree within the training grounds. Larkshade demonstrated by climbing up to one of the lower branches, her claws gripping into the groves easily.
"I know it's unusual and can be hard, but trust me when I say that it's a useful skill. Now you try," Larkshade nodded at Rainpaw. "After you get up here, you can leap up to catch prey above you, or drop down on prey on the ground; but be quiet."

Icepool and Amberwing padded back from the sun-high patrol, taking their time to get back to camp.
"Want to go hunting?" Amberwing suggested.
"Why?" Icepool stared at him as if he had suggested that they join Cliffclan.
Amberwing shrugged and replied, "It's good practice. Catching some extra prey never hurt a cat."
"Prey is only killed to be eaten. And right now, there aren't any hungry cats in the camp," Icepool recited from the warrior code. "Besides, it's too warm right now. All the prey will be in their burrows. Let it wait until dusk." Icepool yawned and padded towards a large boulder, conveniently placed in a nice sunny spot.
"I'm going to take a nap," Icepool declared, climbing onto the boulder with ease.
OoC: That was horrible. >.< I'm not even sure if it makes complete sense. :| Oh well.

Foxtail stood up and padded next to her apprentice sitting down behind her "you know you should look around better if I had intended on hurting you I could have" she said still sitting directly behind the cat.
Leopardstar hopped out of her den and sat in the clearing looking for her deputy. She would have him and a few other able warriors do the morning patrol.

Ooc; Pri, Streamclan can hunt in trees, but it's not what they opt for. They can catch fish and most of the cats in the clan are good swimmers. Streamclan can hunt both land animals, and fish. Swallowpaw hung her head in embarassment. She had forgotten about that. "Sorry." she mumbled. She turned around to face her mentor, and waited for further instruction. I'll never become a warrior! Her mind cried. I can't even remember to look around me and make sure nobody's going to attack me! What kind of apprentice am I?
Hawkfeather padded up to Leopardstar and dipped his head. "Hello Leopardstar. Is there anything you'd like me to do?" he lifted his head and sat down, unsure how long he would be here. I'm so tired. He thought.
Ooc; I swear I am braindead right now. :/ But, I have to head out on vacation tomorrow. I'll have access to computers at the hotel but likely won't post. :c I come back on the 15th, and I don't know what time, might not even be on until reset.

Foxtail looked at her "It is okay just try to keep that in mind" she said before standing up and walking deeper into the clans territory "so today we will be focusing on hunting" she said looking for signs of prey.
