Holding James to him Evan had the most suprising feeling. Usually in this situation he would be too engrosed with holding James but at the moment he really had to pee. Pulling an exasperated ex pression he eased slightly away from James. "One sec." he said awkwardly, sliding off the bed and almost comically skidding over to the bathroom. Most of the band members had just waited until a pit stop since the 'convienient bathroom' on the bus had turned out not to be so convienient. Once you deposited something for the ride there was no withdrawls...if you catch my drift... Evan held his breath, trying not to breath the putrid ait that as.saulted his nose as soon as he opeaned the door. Wincing he went in. ((wow...ok just sayin this wasn't totally spoofed...there is an actual plot point coming...i hope...))

James let go of Evan and watched him leave with a slight sigh. He hadn't wanted to let him go, as bad as that was. Instead, he sat up and concentrated on trying to get himself under control. His hair, his clothes, his heart rate were all wildly out of control. Once he was satisfied with his outer appearance he started to wonder what time it really was and wondered if he and Evan were making enough noise back here to wake someone up in the front. [[ Fail post again lol Ok xD ]]

Evan gratefully exited the bathrooms, finnaly allowing himself an un-cautious breath. Pausing where he was for a moment, he looked about at his surroundings. Something seemed strange...no one had made comments on his use of the restroom like usual. His predecessors had all gotten cat calls and other forms of abuse from the other band members. Tonight though had been total scilence. Scaning the seats and other rooms for signs of life, Evan walked the length of the bus. There was not a single person in sight. (( ok i have an idea :3 tell me one of urs if you dont like it cause i have no idea what to do from here. How about they figure everyones gone to take a pit stop and get off the bus. The band members return without them there, as.sume theyre still having 'fun' in their room and leave w/ out them.))

James got up and went to see what was keeping Evan so long. He opened the bedroom door to see Evan but no one else, all of the bunks and seats empty. He frowned and came up behind Evan, "Where is everybody." He said, an out-loud thought. He peeked out of one of the curtained windows to see that they were stopped at another late night pit stop. They left us here he thought and turned back to Evan. "Looks like you didn't have to use that restroom." He said a little teasingly, an easy smile on his face. [[ lol Thats perfect :D Exactly what I was thinking when I suggested that they get left behind X3 ]]

((oooohhh! ooops :P i forgot u'd said that >.< sry!)) Evan winced, looking nervously back at the bus restroom. "Great." he laughed sheepishly before directing his attention back toward the front of the bus. Grabbing James's hand in his own he started toward the front of the bus, turining his head to wink at James. "We might as well get off here and streach our legs." he said, pushing open the automatic doors of the bus without much difficlty. Using his long legs to his advantage he bent one knee and stepped the distance between the bus and the ground without usuing the stairs, allowing him to keep his hold on James's hand.

[[ lol thats fine XDD ]] James turned to Evan, "I guess." He answered, curling his fingers around the other's hand and following him to the front of the bus. He used the stairs, not wanted to mess up in front Evan and fall. "The stairs are there for a reason." He smiled, reaching up and closing the doors so that no one would be tempted to climb up in there and mess around. He turned back to Evan, swinging the arm that was attached to him a little. "Let's stretch so we can go back to bed~" He said, looking at the pit stop.

Evan grinned at the idea of going back to bed, chuckling a little at the idea. He was almost giddy with excitement, he was finnaly dating James! The little rush of victory made him want to do something crazy...and why not? He looked around, seeing the others at another filthy hovel of a pit stop. Around them though was the cl*censored*ic night time setting of a city. Clubs were bannging out music, sirens sounded off in the distance and a fain film of cigarette smoke hung in the air. Tugging James's hand away from the diner, Evan began walking down the dimly lit street toward the center of the city. "C'mon." He smiled "Lets go do someting we'll probably regrett in the morining." he winked at James, giving one last feeting look toward the diner...Erin would make sure the bus didn't forget them...right?

James smiled as he followed Evan into the night, speeding up slightly to catch up with him. Something they'd regret in the morning. "What did you have in mind?" James asked, not really thinking about the bus possibly leaving them out in the middle of this town. What ever town this was. He was now walking close enough for his shoulder to be brushing up against Evan's. He hadn't sneaked out in a while, mainly because there was no where to sneak from or to and no one to sneak with. Now he had Evan with him. "You're not a very good influence on me." He joked, laughing quietly.

"I never am." Evan mused, smiling. Walking shoulder in shoulder with James made the night seem even more unrealistic. He felt like he could do anything with no worries! Taking a turn he turned, quickly smiling at James before taking his hand back for a moment. "Excuse me for a sec. ok." he smiled reas.suringly. "I'll be right back." Taking off he cover a few blocks before dissapearing into a store. Reapearing moments later he made his way back toward James with a square, cardboard sixpack of beer in one hand. Taking his hand they weaved their way through the streets until Evan found where he wanted to be. Walking slowly up a slight, mist covered hill he sat along the top with James. It wasn't the most ideal view, the fog obscuring most of what could be seen...then again that also meant they would have more privacy.

James smiled at the reply, looking down at the ground as they went, making his hair obscure his face. For a second he had been worried Evan would take that wrong, its good he didn't. He looked back up, shaking his hair from his face and watched Evan disappear. He was only slightly uncomfortable being left in a town that he was unfamiliar with, but he was fine. He looked up at the night sky at the stars, he didn't look at the stars like he used to. He used to count them when it was just him, before he knew about Erin, and make images connecting the white dots. But lately he'd seen swept away with the troubles of the band and his little sister, all too happy to drop anything and everything he had for her. It wasn't something he should do, but he did with the best intentions. Evan was just the beginning of becoming himself once again. He looked back to Evan and his new accessories, raising an eyebrow at the other before he took his hand again. Beer was unexpected, very unexpected but it wasn't a big deal. Not to James anyway. He let Evan lead the way, seeing as he seemed like he knew where he was going, besides, he trusted him. James sat down with Evan on the hill, looking around a little. There wasn't much to see, it was dark and there was a bunch of mist around. It made the gras$ slightly damp but that didn't bother James too much. Well, at least they were completely alone here and no one was around to interrupt or be bothered by them. Something they'd regret in the morning.

Evan popped open one of the beers, taking a small sip. The darkness had settled around them in a sort of shell. It not only seemed to seperate them from the people outside their space but also bring them closer to the stars. Evan leanes sideways against James, letting the drink rest at his side. Sighing he looked up toward the sky. "What was it like...finding out you had a sister you never knew of?" He asked, quietly, taking another sip before popping another out of the pack and offering it to James.

James took the drink from Evan and thought about what he was going to say. He thought about this all the time, he just never talked about it. "It was... really shocking at first." James said, he enjoyed how close Evan was. "I never knew about her because my mother dropped me off when I was a few days old at this police station. I'm really pretty lucky to be alive since it was late on and October night." He said, meaning that it was too cold to leave a baby out on a doorstep by itself in the middle of the night. He opened the drink. "Erin called me one day and said she was my sister. I was 18 then and I guess she wanted a real, stable life." James explained, he wouldn't have called his life stable but back then he had been nearly desperate to connect with someone of blood relation. "After getting over the shock it turned into... joy. I had gone through life without anyone that I was blood related to and now I suddenly had a sister." James found himself looking up at the star with Evan, his eyes roaming slowly over the smooth blackness above them. He had drank about half of his beer by then, hardly noticing at all that he had.

((crew might have ended but i just started winter track! WOO!)) Evan rested back and thought of what James had said. He had never had to deal with the kind of things James had... he had an average child hood. So maybe his parents had been distant. Focused more on work than on love. That had just broght him and his sister closer...and then... Evan threw back his head downing the rest of his beer before standing to balance the can delicately on a fencepost nearby. In the almost totall darkness he could barely see it once seated. Pulling another from the pack he popped the tab and let it rest in his hand. "I'm sorry." he intertwined his fingers with James's, hoping to send the silent message, 'I'm there for you.'

James continued to look up at the stars as his companion finished his drink and then as he went to put the empty container on the fence nearby. He was pulled from his thoughts however when he heard the distinct 'pop' of the new beer can next to him and glanced over at Evan. "It's ok." He responded with a smile, squeezing his companion's hand slightly. Message received. It really wasn't all that bad, he had turned out just fine. In and out of foster homes and orphanages, different families and couples and siblings. All of these things had taught James to be independent from others and to be as happy as he could manage. Because this world was, indeed, cruel. He took this opportunity to lean on the other male lightly, not putting too much weight on him or anything. "Tell me about you." He said to him, now looking down the hill they were sitting on, looking for as far as he could see. It was really rather beautiful on this hill. With all the mist turning a pale white in moonlight and the dew on the gras$ would sparkle if you could get the right angle on it.
