(Aw, Dragon :c I wish you'd stay, but...
And uh, Guiven, I'm not sure if we should make NPCs or more characters. I do have more characters I could make [lol I sure am productive recently in the character-making department xP -usually is not-] though I'm fine with whatever.)

((I'd honestly prefer to create new chars, but I wanted to leave the option up to you guys. We can wait for Kupa's input, although I think I may make another character anyway just because I was thinking of doing it at some point. I guess this is just a good time for coming up with characters, because I've been really into making bios for some reason lately too, which is incredibly unusual for me. xP ))

((Alright, we have a person who's going to be joining us here, so that should help with the process. I'd like to leave the Itquari Alpha spot open for right now so that way the new person can have it if they want. It's Silverfisher who's joining us btw.
And Ice, that's fine, thanks for letting us know. See ya in a week then!))

I like them purdy Ebilia-
Name: Aelia Age: Four Gender: Female Appearance: She's a bit larger than most wolves Personality: Aelia's very levelheaded and laid back. She likes to lead her pack with well judgement but has little tolerance for weakness. History: Aelia was the biggest pup out of a litter of three but her other siblings have long since dispersed from the pack in hopes of starting their own. As a pup Aelia had a strikingly dominant disposition and on becoming an adolescent, her snarling outbursts still continued. at the age of three she challenged her father and defeated him, taking his place as Alpha. She knows where one of her siblings resides. Anik, her brother, is alive with the Eliomike pack after she chased him off. Pack: Itquari Rank: Alpha Crush: None/open Other: None
Name: Cassia Age: Three Gender: Female Appearance: Above Personality: Cassia is known for being very approachable and friendly. She enjoys chatting with others about anything under the sun and any silence around her is always awkward. Getting on the nerves of her fellow pack members is one of Cassia's favorite pastimes. History: Cassia was the only one to survive out of her litter. She was extremely playful and inquisitive as a pup and still is. Her energy is unmatched and she still has to run or climb about to rid herself of excess energy. She envies where the Elomike wolves have situated themselves and wishes to one day leave the Itquaris and join the Elomikes. Pack: Itquari Rank: Member Crush: None/open Other: None
Name: Anik Age: Four Gender: Male Appearance: Unlike his sister, Anik is small for a wolf Personality: Submissive and timid. Anik does what he's told so if you want something done skillfully and quickly you go to him. He wouldn't dare cross those ranked higher than him because he's aware of what his pack mates are capable of doing purely out of fear. Anik doesn't think badly of his pack, but he's sympathetic towards those that they've persecuted and tries to aid them somehow. History: Growing up as the runt of the litter, Anik learned to abide by other's orders very quickly. Aelia was especially harsh to him as she wold not tolerate his submissive character. She chased him off one day in an angry fit when she realized he had been aiding loners in the area. Since then he's settled in with the Elomike pack but he's terribly homesick and still hasn't fully acclimated to the Elomike's territory. Pack: Elomike Rank: Member Crush: None/open Other: None
Name: Pariah Age: Three Gender: Female Appearance: She's small in comparison to the other wolves in her pack Personality: At first, most won't think much of her, seeing as many of Pariah's pack members are able to top her size with ease, but she's not to be underestimated. Pariah's got that "innocent" air about her. She can jump around, bubbly as a pup, but there's always something "off". Maybe it's the way her voice drips out like honey but seems filled with venom and contempt. Or maybe it's her eyes which shine so innocently but constantly flicker with veiled malice. It's difficult to decipher her thoughts. Pariah is known for being very, very tricky. She enjoys beguiling others into following her whims, making them look like fools. While Pariah is hard to anger, it's easy to irritate her. Call her a hypocrite, but there's nothing she hates more than a vexatious pack member. History: In Pariah's original pack she grew up as the omega. She was the outcast, the pariah. Fed up, she simply left. Travelling a long ways as a loner has given her a lot of knowledge of the land and she's grown stronger than she was when she first left her old pack. Eventually, she made her way to the Yofaru and joined the pack. Pack: Yofaru Rank: Member Crush: None/open Other: None

((Coolio Silver. Your char's are accepted. You can post anytime. I have a feeling that this could be a very intense RP, because of the diversity of the characters and how realistic they all are in terms of wolf society, how even the regular members have certain rankings among themselves. Then there's the actual plot with the weather and all, lol.
I must say, I'm thinking that I may kill off one or two of my characters, and there's more to the two borthers' histories, but that'll come later. I'll just say that they're very tied in with Yofaru because of their relation to Afon. I will admit, it's strange to me to have all of my characters tied in with each other like this. I's quite interesting.
I'll get Izari and Kaizen's intros up, and reply with the others in a little bit.))
Itquari "Kaiz!"
"Wha--"
Kaizen's breath escaped his body with in a soft, "Uff!" laeving him sprawled on the soft, sandy ground of his pack's desert territory.
The dark silver and white wolf lay there panting, aware of the white paws pinning him down. He looked up into the mischievous pale yellow gaze of his brother, Izari. "Would you get off me? You weigh a lot," he said, grinning. His brother dug his claws lightly into his pelt in response, but his brother preceded to heave him off. Izari landed lightly on all fours, his tail waving lazily in the air, his body arched in a play bow.
"You weren't being observant enough," he said, his grin widening. His tongue hung out of his mouth, moving to the steady panting rhythm of Izari's breathing.
"So I noticed," Kaizen groaned, only to recover himself and crouch down in his own bow, mirroring his younger twin's position. In terms of fur color, the two looked similar. They had the same colored eyes, except Izari's were noticeably paler. In terms of pelt patterns, they looked little like each other apart from the black hairs on their ears the foreheads.
"Haha," Izari managed sarcastically. He seemed to lose interest slightly, and corrected his posture, his tail held slightly above his brother's in his new standing position. "So... when did you want to cross?"
Kaizen smiled as he straightened, noting his brother's businesslike manor. Sarcasm didn't seem to suit this wolf as well as it suited Kaizen. In some ways Izari was too serious for it. It came off as too sincere, which his brother and other wolves found amusing.
"I didn't have a set time. We could go now, before it get's too late," he offered Izari, who was looking off in the distance to the large jungle trees shrouded heavily in early-morning mist.
"Hey! What are you boys up to?"
Both young males flinched at the harsh voice, turning to look at the approaching figure. Izari wisely dropped his tail some, although it remained stiff in agitation. "Evinri." Kaizen stepped on his brother's paw and dipped his head. Beside him, his brother stiffly mirrored the movement.
"That's not an answer," the Beta Female snapped, her gaze cool. It darted between the two. Both caused problems for her, and both were a threat to her rank. Kaizen's gaze hardened, turning cold. "We were simply out here playing. Quietly. Is that too much to ask? It wasn't like we were disturbing anyone." Izari's pelt started to bristle somewhat, a movement that didn't go unnoticed by Evinri. Her eyes narrowed threateningly. Fact was, they had done nothing wrong, and their plans of crossing into Yofaru territory hadn't be overheard be her, apparently, so there was nothing she could say against them. Her tail flicked upwards, her gaze resting on Izari. Many wolves would have flinched at this, but he easily stood his ground, meeting her gaze with the same level of coolness.
"Don't worry. We won't be gone too long, and we'll make sure to bring something back to the pack," he said pointedly, raising his tail a hair length higher. He was obviously pleased to have made the suggestion of hunting first, which wasn't unusual, Kaizen reflected. His brother was a quick thinker, and he held a fairly high rank among Itquari's members, despite his age. Evinri was stuck.
"Very well. Just make sure it's something worth eating." With that she turned, her head held high, and stalked off in the direction of the outcrop their pack called home right now.
Kaizen turned to his brother and grinned. "Well, I suppose that means no scorpions this time."
Izari rolled his eyes. "Oh I would be so sure about that," he replied, his gaze fixed coldly on his Beta's retreating back. Kaizen grinned. "So how much longer until you challenge her?"
"I don't know. But I think we should head back."
((Evinri will be back at camp, if anyone is looking to interact with her.))
Elomike
Akuva's paws flashed, her claws hooking the small songbird from its perch. It didn't even have time to give an alarm call. She picked up the small body in her mouth, gagging on the feathers, and headed in the direction of her pack's sleeping area in the thickest tangle of fallen trees. She would just dump her catch on the pile; she wasn't particularly hungry right now.
Her steps were quick and light, her fur gleaming in the strengthening sunlight. Akuva's movements were sharp and delicate, ducking and weaving expertly through the tangle of wood. She had been doing this nearly all of her life. Looking back she realized it would have been a shame if her pack had not allowed her back in. She truly loved all the wolves here, no matter how distant some were from the pack, like the nameless she-wolf and Akonru. Akuva liked Nameless, but she was afraid of reaching out to the she-wolf, because she didn't seem to care much for company. Still, it can't hurt to try, Akuva thought, arguing with herself. She really did think the other wolf might like some company every once in a while.
She walked briskly into camp, not bothering to look around. She placed her bird on the small pile of prey hidden inside a small log, and left without a second glance. She wasn't sure where she might find the strange she-wolf, but she figured she might be near the edge of the network, where she would be farthest from the other wolves.
With Akuva's skill level of weaving and ducking, it didn't take her long to find what part of what she was looking for: the outskirts of the network. For the next few minutes she traveled carefully, being as observant as possible. But she still didn't see what she was looking for. Wait, there!
Akuva paused, seeing a familiar patch of fur resting on a fallen log. She wasn't sure exactly what to say, because the she-wolf had no name, but she decided to call out to her in a friendly, confident way. Her ears pricked, she opened her mouth to speak.
"Hello? I thought you might like some company!" She was uncertain of what Nameless's response would be, but she hoped for a positive one.
---
Akonru was so absorbed in his thoughts, he barely registered the approaching paw steps. They were light, dainty even, accompanied by the scent of one of his pack mates. The dark-furred wolf sat up with a bit of a sigh, somewhat relieved to have been wrenched from his swirling thoughts. He didn't turn around, as he saw no reason to give any sign that he knew of this wolf's approach. With a slight smile, he decided to let her take whatever course of action she wished, whether it be to tackle him playfully or merely greet him.
Akonru liked to be surprised after all, and with the temperature slowly dropping--wait what? Akonru's head snapped up. The sun was climbing above the distant jungle trees, so why was it so cold? They had experienced many storms recently, but this one seemed like it would be the worst, most uncomfortable one yet. Maybe I should go back to camp, he though worriedly.
He decided to wait for Solay to catch up to him, to ask her what she thought of the temperature drop. He contemplated turning around, but he didn't want to startle her, so he merely swiveled his ears backwards to hear better, and tensed himself, fluffy out his pelt against to cool air. He had a feeling that Ikero might want some help in moving in logs and sticks to help create a bit of a shelter from the wind and rain, at least if it was going to be cold. Elomike wolves didn't usually mind the water, but they didn't always like the cold. So Akonru sat, and waited.
((Akonru's post is a bit of a fail, but oh well.))

Name: Iveria Age: Adult Gender: Female Appearance: She has a scar over her right eye. Personality (Not an Option): She's self-centered, and doesn't really care about the feelings or lives of other wolves. It's probably what makes her good at killing other wolves when she's told to. Her strength is pretty average, but she's very, very quick, and she's skilled at being quiet when tracking someone down. She has several different techniques and skills when it comes to hunting a wolf down, but more than anything, she's determined not to be beaten. She absolutely refuses to give up. Once she's been assigned to kill someone, even if you tell her that you've changed your mind, and you don't want her to kill them, that's too bad. Once she's been assigned to kill someone, she's not about to change her mind. However, she dislikes the company of other wolves, and only talks to them if necessary. She appears emotionless to most wolves, and prefers to let any sadness or anger that she has build up inside. History: Her mother actually raised her to be friendly and absolutely never kill another wolf, unless she had to to keep that wolf from killing her. Iveria didn't listen to her mother. Pack: Could she be a loner...? If not, then I'll edit her bio. Rank: None. She lives near the Elomike River, but she lives further down the river, so she's a few miles from the territories of any of the packs. She lives alone, but she has a job. She's somewhat well known (Not everyone knows who she is, but some wolves have heard of her. She's not like "famous" or anything.) by packs of wolves. She can easily be hired as an assassin, her "payment" just has to be a meal. She's pretty good at her job. Crush: None. Other: None.
Name: Camino Age: Young Adult Gender: Female Appearance: She has a small notch in her left ear. Personality (Not an Option): Sarcasm is like a second language for Camino. If you don't want a sarcastic answer, don't ask a stupid question. She's a lonely wolf, because she isolates herself from other wolves. She's insecure and unconfident, and is afraid of what other wolves think of her. She acts stronger than she really is, since she doesn't want to seem weak. She has a bad habit of getting too attached to someone else if she cares about them, which is what has gotten her left behind by several different wolves throughout her life. She has trust issues, but it's only because she's had other wolves turn their back on her before. Several wolves in the pack simply ignore her. She never forgets if someone betrays her, and time doesn't heal the emotional damage that so many wolves have left her with. History: As a pup, she lived with her mother, father, and two siblings. Her parents kicked them all out of the territory when they were old enough to go, simply not wanting to put up with them anymore. When Camino tried to convince her mother to let her stay, her mother bit a chunk out of her left ear. Camino traveled with her siblings for a week, before waking up one morning to find that she was alone. She wandered and eventually found another wolf, a female named Skaarsgard, who was a lot like her, and who had run away from her pack as well. After thinking for a while about how her parents and family had betrayed her, she lied to Skaarsgard (She lied to Skaarsgard.) and said she was going hunting, and ran away. She joined Itquari Pack, not to be around other wolves but to have an easier life, and she never has trusted another wolf. Pack: Itquari Rank: Member Crush: Open Other: None
Name: Arget Age: Young Adult Gender: Male Appearance: Personality (Not an Option): Arget prefers to try to look at the bright side of a situation. He's usually in a pretty good mood, even in bad situations. He tries to cheer up other wolves, and dislikes fighting. He's very quick when it comes to running, but isn't very good at fighting. He flirts with she-wolves whenever he sees the opportunity. He's also somewhat skilled at talking his way out of getting into trouble. Arget is afraid of getting hurt, or especially killed. He's a coward, and often manages to get himself into trouble. History: Normal. Pack: Itquari Rank: Member Crush: Pariah, if that's okay. Even though she's in a different pack. Other: None (I'll finish the last bio later.)

Itquari: The way the desert sand seemed to sludge like desiccated mud under Aelia's large paws always comforted the she-wolf. It was one of the best sensations- just melding into the loose, gritty particles that seemed to spread as far as the eye can see. That is, until you consider the sudden explosion of thick vegetation that stretched out against the horizon. The jungle seemed like a strange place to Aelia and she turned her back on the green expanse with a inaudible snort. While she didn't take much liking to the Yofaru territory, she could think of two wolves who did. The she-wolf's sandy white fur appeared as if it were rippling, crawling. Sometimes those brothers got on her nerves.
As she made her way back towards the pack's current settlement, her eye caught on something moving quickly in the distance. The form was bounding around, sometimes in circles, before dashing full speed towards her. Aelia knew who it was before the wolf's features became distinguishable. "Cassia," Aelia greeted with an exasperated growl once the wolf reached her. It looked as if Cassia had just returned from another visit to the Elomike river. Her fur was spiked in sodden clumps from her toes up to her neck and traces of sand had gathered along her underbelly. The young wolf normally sported a look such as that- much to the annoyance of her fellow pack members, Aelia included.
"Hello, Aelia!" Cassia barked, approaching the Alpha with a carefully lowered tail. "I was looking for you to say that we should go hunting! The wolves back at camp seem a bit.. I dunno, edgy?" Her tail had begun to wag and Cassia sat down for a moment to relieve an itch that had been bothering behind her ear, sand flying up under the steady thump of her tail. Aelia's eyes narrowed. She had never been very patient with this wolf.
"Edgy?" Just as the words left the Alpha's lips a strikingly cold and unwelcoming breeze had begun to pick up. It was much colder than the random bursts of windy gusts that had begun to billow every now and then. Really? In the middle of the desert? The recent rainfall had been enough but now it seemed as if the temperature was actually, really dropping considerably. The only time they ever experienced chills such as this was at night, never with the sun to warm the air and reflect of the bright sand. It made Aelia uneasy. She glanced down at Cassia, who lay in a heap on the sand, previous conversation forgotten as she studied a beetle, to see if she shared the same forebodings but quickly realized it was futile.

(Sorry for taking so long. -was procrastinating- New bio's will be edited in here shortly as well.)
Elomike Solay watched as Akonru sat up and took a few steps back, ready to sprint off. She was still a little skittish around him and was very unsure of how to deal with things concerning him. But seeing as he did not face her, she began to walk forward, slowly. Though she did note the movement of his ear. He must've noticed her. Should she abandon ship? Or continue the mission? Well, she was here already, and Akonru had sensed her, so why not just finish what she started. Taking faster steps, yet still at a walk, she was soon in view of Akonru. "Hey," the lightly colored she-wolf greeted coolly. Speaking of 'coolly', was that chilly breeze she felt on her fur just then? It was rather odd, since cold was basically close to nonexistant here, but perhaps it just meant oncoming rain. Solay didn't mind the rain just as she didn't mind water. It was the same thing. Somehow this cold felt... different. Slightly colder than usual, but also with.. hm... It was hard to explain. Something in Solay's gut just told her it was an ordinary type of coldness. Strange, but the Beta just waved it off for the time being. She'd speak with Ikero about it later, maybe. ( Name: Anika [but sometimes Ani for short] Age: 4 years Gender: Female Appearance: Personality: Incredibly skittish, Anika will run away if you tell her something as harmless as 'hi' or even seem to approach her. She does still display hope, though, such as when she's shivering and cowering in a corner while you ask her 'wanna go hunting?' kindly, she might have such hope light up in her eyes and perhaps may even open her mouth to say 'yes', but then her fright of other wolves comes back and she seems even more scared than before. Anika is very untrusting of everybody and is even mute by choice. However if someone managed to get through to her, underneath everything, she is very gentle and sweet. She loves pups and is generally loving to everyone and will never get mad but can defend herself with words quite easily. Sadly, nobody has ever seen that part of her and won't anytime soon. History: Anika was born with four other siblings, into a world of warmth and love and play wrestles. However, once she was about a foot tall and still a puppy, all of the love and kindness her mother, father, brothers, and sisters displayed to her vanished. She wasn't a runt. For some reason, she was just picked to be tortured. Her father approached her one day with a very angry look on his face. Anika was about to go play with her two brothers and two sisters when he stopped her. "You cannot go play with your siblings today. You've been a bad girl," he said. What had she done wrong? Ani had no idea, but - oh wait. She did make a mistake; she accidentally took the first bite of food. "I'm sorry, daddy," she said apologetically in her light, sweet voice. "Sorry doesn't cut it!" her father snarled at her so suddenly, she was taken aback. She sat beside him, envious as she watched her family play. The truth was, her father had been in an argument with her mother and Anika had been mentioned, so apparently her father decided to vent his rage on Anika. Though this wasn't the end of it - oh, not even close. The next day her father cuffed her on the ear and made her stay in the den. Was taking the bite of food first worth this type of punishment? Anika wondered, as once again, her siblings enjoyed the day and she didn't. One of her sisters came over to try to talk to her but her father stopped the other wolf. Her sister, Kisa, gave Ani a sorry look and returned to her play. Anika gave her a silent nod of thanks for her effort. But wait - things got worse. The next day her father beat her. Blood was drawn. Anika had never thought she deserved this and she, for the first time ever, shouted at her father. "What did I ever do to need this?!" she screamed. Her father snarled. "Talking back, are we?! I was THINKING of letting you be with your siblings, but now I've changed my mind. Go out in the trees tonight! You no longer sleep with us!" Anika's shock clearly registered on her face. She had never seen such hatred and anger in her father's eyes just then. He was speaking as if she was not even his daughter anymore... If only she knew how real that statement would become. That night, she slept in the woods. And the next day, when she tried to play with her siblings, she began to be shunned by them. Her mother joined in on the beatings, which were daily. Anika attempted to go back and sleep in the warmth of the caved, but she was tossed out by the sharp teeth of her mother. Soon she heard the phrase "You're no daughter of mine anymore." More words were said that implied she was an outcast, and that her two sisters and two brothers plus parents were clearly a family, and she was just the stranger that lived in the woods. They told her siblings that they were pitying the poor pup. Over time, her siblings grew up. They used to give her apologetic and sad glances, some even trying to get her back in the game, but recently they never tried anything. They accepted Ani's fate. During this stretch of time - about a year - Anika had been using words. Words to try to reason. Words to try to get them to stop. Words to try to make them see what they were doing. Can you guess that it was no use? Soon, she quit speaking. Anika found no use for it anymore, since she wasn't allowed to speak to anybody anyways and even if she said anything it'd equal 1) pain, 2) beatings, and 3) nobody listening to whatever she said. She simply gave up. She took the torture and when she ran away at 3 years old, she was glad. But her happiness was gone. A group of wolves saw her all alone - they beat her. Just like her parents. She thought they'd help her, but she just couldn't speak. Anika had made herself a mute. It hurt to try to utter anything. Another loner, seemingly angry at something, lashed out at her during her trek to find a pack as well. By then she shied away from any other living wolf - she couldn't trust anybody anymore. Everybody she trusted hurt her. Eventually she found Yofaru pack, and Yofaru's previous Alpha accepted her in once he saw her wounds, and especially after noticing she didn't speak and was cowering before him as soon as he was in Anika's sight. He pitied her and offered her a home because 'she surely wouldn't last on her own'. Ever since, Anika has been horribly internally scarred, though she does have someplace to call home. Pack: Yofaru Rank: Member Crush: Afon, if it's ok. Other: Nope. Name: Kayna // Kayto Age: 4.5 years // 4.5 years Gender: Female // Male Appearance: Kayna is on the left and Kayto is on the right. Personality: Kayna is very bubbly and girly. She never watches where she's going or really thinks twice about anything she decides to do, so it's mostly lots of messing around. And when I say bubbly, I mean she's like an airhead most of the time. Kayto, knowing this, is always looking out for her and dragging her out of trouble - oftentimes literally. Kayna does not regularly abide by 'silly Kayto's' words. Kayto is very protective of his sister and is very smart. He is a good fighter, as he is very strong. Kayna is an excellent hunter, as she is very fast and agile. Kayna does have her moments, though, where she becomes someone dreamy and kind and... not bubbly or girly. Then reality seems to snap back and hit the wolf she was talking to in the face as she adds, "and, like, totally yeah!~". Kayto does have a bit of a temper and he knows how to make plans and problem-solve well. Kayna seems to be a boundless ball of energy and too much dang happy. They are almost complete opposites, but love each other anyway. History: Normal. Pack: Itquari // Itquari Rank: Member // Member Crush: None, Open // None, Open Other: They are twins. c: )

((It's fine. All your new characters are accepted, and it's alright with me if Ani has a crush on Afon.^^))
Akonru flicked his tail to acknowledge the she-wolf beside him. He was well-aware of the fact that Solay was of a higher rank than him, and that he should at least dip his head to her, but though her greeting was cool, it was also casual and friendly.
Turning to her, he decided to jump straight into a conversation over the cold weather. Well, what better way to start a conversation with a lady than to mention the weather? Akonru shook his head slightly, aware of how stupid he was about to sound. You didn't start a conversation based on the weather! But still, the strange chill concerned him, and he wanted a higher-up's opinion on it.
He looked sideways at Solay, and gave out a small laugh before attempting to get his thoughts off of his mind, and still be honest about it. "I know this will sound stupid, because it's not exactly the subject one should be covering during a light, friendly conversation, but what do you think of the weather?" he tried honestly. "I mean, this chill... it's a bit... unusual, don't you think?"

Elomike Solay nodded. "Unusual is one way to describe it. More like unnerving. It doesn't feel right. It's just... it's not the same as a normal breeze, sort of. I don't know. This sounds really stupid, doesn't it? It's probably just some rain or something.." she answered, suddenly very doubting of herself. This theory of hers was ba$ed on feelings, which were not a good factor in producing a realistic answer. With her luck, she was terribly wrong and the remark of rain was probably more right than whatever else could be coming on that 'didn't feel right'. Oddly, the Beta felt comfortable in Akonru's presence rather than nervous like many other times. Solay looked up at the sky briefly, as if asking it 'what are you planning?', then looked back at the black wolf beside her. (EDIT: What's wrong with the word 'based'? D: *fixes*)

"Should we head back, d'you think?" Akonru asked absently, his mind still absorbed with the strange breeze. "If it's going to rain, I don't rather fancy being stuck out here, far away from camp, particularly because this rain seems like it will be chilly." He glanced at Solay, then nudged her gently with a forepaw. "I'll race you back, if you'd like," he said his eyes gleaming mischievously. He knew that she, like him, was well-aware that she would be faster than him, because of her smaller, lighter build. But he wasn't intending on travelling back on foot. "That is, if you don't mind getting wet."
Without waiting for her to reply, he stood up and slipped down between a gap in the log they were poised on, and another fallen tree, landing on a thick branch that protruded from yet another log underneath the first two. He glanced up briefly to make sure he wouldn't hit his head, then flung himself into the water that he now had a clear shot at, enjoying the feeling of the cool water swamping over him. The water was rather cool, but not chilly--just right.
Akonru paddled around in little circles under the log, waiting for the Beta, if she was planning to come. His thicker Yofaru pelt helped to buoy him him, so he didn't have as much trouble keeping his head above the water. "You can come on in, it's not cold!" he called, paddling back toward the log he had jumped off of to wait for the she-wolf.

Solay smiled. "A race in the river? Challenge accepted," she answered and followed every spot where Akonru's footsteps had fallen but a bit more carefully. Personally, she didn't mind the cold. Heat was worse. Sweating and feeling like you were going to die? Not favorable. Without the river to cool off in, the Beta didn't know what she'd do on all the hot days they had here in her home. Sure, she looked like she didn't mind, and to tell the truth she'd actually become rather accustomed to the constant high temperatures, but when the colder rains came by she found out that she definitely liked cold more than hot. For some reason she didn't mind the cold and it felt oddly nice. However she'd never experienced any biting cold, of course...
Plunging into the water, she had gone in head-first and was underwater for a moment before paddling up to the surface, shaking most of the water off of her head the best she could. Her strong legs easily supported her as she swam beside Akonru. "Do you want to say 'go' or will I do the countdown?" Solay asked, getting into a competitive state of mind. She was very competitive after all and it was easy to get there. She would not take losing. If she lost, she'd.. she'd... Uh. Well, Solay didn't really know what she would do.... but it wouldn't be good! ( )
