Liam whined low in his throat, I'd tell you her bark is worse than her bite, but I'd be lying He thought.

"Darn right you would be" Ashlee teased, then she looked at Sarah and Dessen, "I'm sorry if he bothered you guys, he thinks he's funny."

I know I'm funny Luke's thought interupted her. She shot him a dirty look and he just gave her a very wolfy grin.

"Anyway, he likes to scare people when he gets bored." Ashlee finished, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. She turned to Sarah, "I've never met another mind reader before, it's actually kind of interesting. Do you have to like, focus on someone to hear their thoughts or do you just hear them?" she asked.

"They just kinda pop into my head," she said. "I have to listen to really loud music at night to go to sleep." That was the only way she could go to sleep due to hearing everyone's thoughts.

Dessen looked at Ashlee. 'She's, wait, she can read minds, can't think about that,' he thought to himself.

"What were you thinking, Dess?" Sara teased. She poked Dessen in the stomach and then turned around.

"Can't think about what?" Ashlee asked with a grin, "I can hear everyone's mind at once, its kind of disorienting, but if someone doesnt want me to hear a certain thing, for some reason I can't hear it sometimes." she said.

But if shes nosy enough, she can trick you into thinking about it again and then she can figure it out. Liam thought, so that Sarah could hear him. He wanted to be back in hishuman form so that he could actually talk, but then again, when he was a human, his thoughts were slightly easier to firgure out than when he was a wolf, and he prefered to be a wolf around Ashlee, so she couldnt pry into his thoughts as easily.

"Haha," Sara laughed.

"You don't need to know that," he said completely tuning out thoughts. He had learned to do that around Sara. "It's a bit personal."

Sara nudged Dessen, she didn't have to read his mind to know what he felt like. He had the hots for Ashlee. "Oh, don't worry, you're on fire," she teased.

Dessen blushed and turned around. 'Crap, she's figured me out,' he thought to himself.

Ashlee giggled softly, some of Dessen's thoughts were well guarded, however, Sara's, not so much.

Liam blinked in suprise, a giggle from Ashlee was less common than a blue moon. He nudged her with his muzzle and she shot him a dirty look, Since when do you giggle? He thought.

Ashlee raised one eyebrow, "it must suck not being able to hear my thoughts like I can hear yours huh?" she said with a laugh as Liam growled and started trotting back in the direction of their dorm room.

Kara stood awkwardly holding Azul. It seemed as though the others had not notice her there. Her question was answered during the conversation. She bit her lip looking for away around the group. Seeing no way out of her current situation she cleared her throat hoping to get some attention from the others.

 Azul on the other hand was as happy as a cat with catnip. He was enjoying Liam’s presence while he was high off the ground in his master’s arms. He jumped scared at the sudden noise of Kara clearing her throat wondering how she had made to sound. Azul stopped wagging his tail.

Sara turned around to see a girl. "Hi, didn't see you there." She smiled. Reese started scratching on their dorm door. Reese had smelled Liam. Sara opened the dorm door and let out her Reese, her white arctic fox. Reese put her paw on Sara's leg and whined. "Alright, I'll hold you."

Sara bended down and picked her pet up. Spike was being lazy and was still asleep on Dessen's bed. "This is Reese." She pointed at her fox and smiled.

Dessen looked at his dog. "My dog has to be the lazy one, doesn't he?" He walked into the dorm. "Spike, time to stop being anti-social, come out and meet our neighbors." He grabbed Spike by the collar and dragged him into the hallway, closing the door behind him. "This is Spike, my lazy dog."

  Kara smiled and bowed slightly. “My name is Kara and this is my Australian Shepherd Azul.” She motioned to her small dog that was happily in her arms. “He is just still a puppy so soon I won’t be able to hold him like this.” He barked in approval to the sentence he didn’t understand before struggling to get out of Kara’s arms.

  She put him down on the floor. He ran around her legs before looking at Spike. He went over and sniffed him while circling him. After deciding that Spike was a suitable playmate he jumped over him and barked. He stood in a fighting stance and playfully jumped around inviting Spike to play.  

Spike put a paw on Azul's head. He wasn't in the mood to play. Reese yipped histerically in Sara's arms. "Okay, okay, you want to play," she said putting her down. Reese pranced over to Azul and sniffed him. After getting his scent memorized, she sat down and tilted her head to the side.

"She's wondering what he's doing trying to play with Spike," Sara said pointing to her now sitting arctic fox. "That dog is so lazy it's a wonder he can still walk."

Liam pressed hard into the door that led to the dorm room he shared with Ashlee. As usualy, she left it slightly open. padding into the room, he growled at Snowy, who puffed up in response. ((it may be a little late, but can I add a pet for Liam?)) He shifted human and quickly grabbed some clothes from his dresser and put them on. He was wearing his favirite faded jeans, and a pale tan plaid button down tee-shirt. Then he bagan rummagin around for his lost shoes.

Ashlee laughed, "I loveit how you all have dogs, and my cat is sitting back in the dorms, probably very angry i left her behind." She said, looking back over her shoulder. SHe knew Liam had gone back to the dorms, and hoped he was smart enough to let Snowy out...

"Ha, cats hate me for some reason. The last cat I came across hissed at Dessen and attacked my face. Dogs on the other hand, love me. Technically, I don't have a dog, I have a fox, but they're part of the canine family.

Dessen remembered that incident. He singed the cat's tail in an attempt to get it to get off of Sara's face. He let out a chuckle and then turned around. "So, you're more of a cat person?"

"uh, have you met my brother? I kind of have to like dogs too. Besides, Liam has a pet wolf named Skye. But yeah, I do like cats too. I got Snowy when I was thirteen. Shes kind of grumpy, so I don't know how she would take to other people." As she spoke, a little white blur catapulted into  her arms, hissing and yowling, as a dark grey and white wolf bolted after her, barking and growling.

Liam whisted and the wolf sat on her haunches, head tilted to the side. Liam placed a hand on the orange and black bandana that was tied around her neck, "well Hi everyone." he said, flashing a smile, "anybody have any idea what time it is?" he asked.

Skye sniffed at Spike, confused on why he wasnt jumping around and being happy like Azule and Reese.

“I like cats.” Kara said in an almost inaudible voice. She watched Azul closely as he play growled at Reese. He seemed to lose interest in Spike. She leaned against the wall looking at Skye. The neighbors were nice people and she felt as if they were a good group. She looked over all of them and then turned her attention back to Azul and Reese.

 “It is probably around 5:30/6:00.” Kara responded. She was always better at observing animal’s actions and reactions. Azul looked up at Snowy with curiosity before barking trying to get her to come down and play. Azul had never seen a cat before so he thought Snowy was another fox.  

Snowy fluffled up in Ashlee's arms with an angry hiss. She swiped a paw at Azul with claws unsheathed and smacked her nose lightly, "om my gosh! sorry!" Ashlee gasped, tightening her grip on her little white cat, who was still growling and hissing.

Liam ran a hand through his messy hair, "what tiem does clas.s start?" he asked. It sucked being the new kid.

"I think six forty," Sara said looking at Liam. She was glad he wasn't in his wolf form. If she was a bit older, she would say he was hot. She looked at Dessen and frowned. He was being all strong and silent, that wasn't his normal character. "Stop not being yourself."

"What?" Dessen looked at Sara.

"Be yourself, it's annoying whenever you aren't even thinking anything." Sara felt left out when she couldn't read people's thoughts.

Reese sat in confusion wondering what the heck Azul was doing trying to play with a cat. Then, she saw the cat smack Azul's nose. She yelped in surprise and ran to Azul.

Liam nedded his head, "cool, then I don't have to run off to clas.s right away then. He absentlmindedly patted Skye's head and the small wolf turned her attention to Azul and Reese.

Skye woofed softly. She had leanred her lessen almost two full years ago when she was just a pup. Don't mess wtih Snowy unless you want to keep your nose. She whined sympatehtically at Azul, she knew how badly cat claws hurt.
