One of the Battlesuits walked up to her and it's mechanical voice uttered words that were so utterly terrifying and unusual, they seemed to have come from something else. "Night Night, Sleep Tight, Don't let the Bed Bugs Bite." (Would it then be okay if, for dramatic purposes, the Battlesuits knocked the prisoners out then we time skip?)

Ebony and her companions woke with a start in a time and place that was most definitely not in the past, because that would probably be a meaningless flashback of Ebony eating a rat or something. It would also divert form the plot unless the aforementioned squirrel later appeared in the story with great meaning. Like Chekhov's gun going off. It would be Chekhov's rat, and it would be awesome to behold.

(What...?) The Prisoners were sitting in a completely pitch-black cell with no windows, doors or obvious features apart from the fact is was spherical and had a huge carving of the Angel they had seen earlier on one wall.
