The damaged shuttle shook and sparked violently, the sickening shriek of metal tearing resounding from above. Massive hooks rent through the roof, sparks and bits of cable pouring out of the holes. Whatever was on the roof let out a disturbingly humanoid scream of anger, then leaped off.
