Taylor smiled and slammed the book shut before returning it to its rightful place. "That book said you should be in room 17. There you will find your clothing, shoes, everything. The room probably already changed its walls and bed depending on your tastes," She said, a mischevous glimmer in her eyes. "The rooms may change during your stay depending on what you seem to like. Mine's changed dozens of times," She said, rolling her eyes. "Shadow says it gives him a headache, trying to figure out which room is ours by the colors inside," She said and smiled. "Your bond will share the room with you, as it will be big enough to accomodate you both," She said and wondered where Xier slept or if the dragon had to sleep outside. She pushed away the thought, wondering why she kept thinking about Cain and his bond. She still refused to think about Maks. "Follow me and I'll show you where your room is," She said and stepped into a small, gla.ss elevator.

Jess looked around the Hatchery. He had thought he would have needed time for his eyes to adjust to the low light, but he found that he could see easily. Perhaps it was because of that faint red glow. He strode towards it but stopped dead when a sudden rush of anger over-came him. He blinked and shook his head to clear it. "What was that?" he muttered. He continued walking towards the glow, feeling the anger return. At first he was hesitant, and almost slowed to a stop again, but then he remembered something. He'd been stuck in this strange land for a month. A whole month! No one had come to save him, it had been luck that he had met up with the others. With this in mind, he continued forward, embracing the anger and never breaking stride until he stopped on front of the glow.

An egg. A glowing egg. A red glowing egg. He tilted his head to the side. Well, it wasn't the weirdest thing he'd seen so far. It glowed deeply and he could tell it was pure darkness. It almost looked like it would burn him, but when he reached his hand out and brushed his fingers over it, it felt both cool and warm to the touch. It seemed to give off a brighter glow when he touched it, but oddly enough, it wasn't bright. It was almost like a dark light or something similar. 

He grabbed it with both hands and lifted it up. He expected it to be a lot heavier than it was so he stumbled back a few steps. He regained his balance without incident and held the egg in his arms, staring down at it. He had no clue what would hatch from it, but whatever it was, it was his Bond.  

Skye followed after Taylor, cautiously stepping into the elevator. She hadn't been in elevators many times because of being forces to stay cramped up in her house all the time. Mom's rules. As the elevator moved, her stomach churned and she pressed he back up against the nearest wall. She'd never really liked the feeling she had in her stomach once she entered one. She sighed and tried to think of her parents again, whom she'd probably never see again in her life. About the rooms changing, she wondered what that would be like. She didn't quite understand either what Taylor had meant by changing, of course, she did understand the part about her tastes. All her friends talked about that stuff when she was with them.

"Won't see them again either." she thought to herself. She thought back to the egg and the mysterious aura she felt when she approached it. She only wished it would be something amazing or beautiful, since it would remain with her for the remainder of her life. These thoughts flooded her mind as she drifted off into space, completely ignoring everything else for the moment.

Cain stood outside of the Hatchery waiting, knowing that since he owned a bond, he was not allowed back in. It was customary, of the Darks, at least, that once your Bond has chosen you and has hatched, you may not enter the Hatchery, for fear of arrival's Bonds being stolen. There were some in the Darklands that didn't value any morals other than taking all they could get and giving nothing back, and Cain's thoughts went sour thinking of those. He whistled calmly and rocked back and forth on his heels, waiting for his three to find their Bonds. Peering into the darkness of the Hatchery, a presence overwhelmed him, one that told him three new Darks now owned Bonds. He smiled sweetly, sticking his fingers in his mouth and whistling, a loud and high sound coming from his mouth. "Alright. I can tell by the ground's pulses that you've all found your Bonds. Congratulations. Now, Xire will fly us all to the Dark Mansion, the place in the Darklands you will be calling your home."

Cori felt a rush of adrenaline as Cain spoke, not so much focusing on his words as her egg, heat softly radiating from beneath the sky-like shell. She was the first to exit the Hatchery, the first to see the beautious egg in full daylight, and her breath was stolen once more by the sheer radiance of the egg. At least, how it appeared to her. Cautiously, Corrine mounted Xire again, this time not needing Cain's help, and focused on settling her Bond between her legs so that it wouldn't be dropped or quished while they flew, and she would be able to hold onto Xire's scale again.

[[eh...i hope i didn't let everyone down >.> i broke down and used all mythical creatures.]]

Maks grabbed his egg roughly and held it in a tight embrace. Surprisingly, the egg did not crack from the pressure. Maks loosened the slack, remebering that he need this bond. He looked down at the egg with obvious displeasure. The egg was too plain for his tastes. He had wanted that shimmery green one with scales.

Jess' gaze flicked over to the entrance of the hatchery for only a second when Cain called. He would have liked to have stayed in the Hatchery for longer. It was peaceful in there, like nothing could break the calmness. He stared back down at his egg, tracing a random pattern from the spots with his finger. When Cori began to leave, he felt forced to leave as well. He saw no point in being yelled at for lingering. He stepped out of the hatchery, sucking in a sharp breath when he looked down at his egg. It pulsed lightly and the red glow around it seemed to suck up any light that was near. His own hands even looked black holding it. He rested the egg against his chest and pulled one hand away. As soon as they left the egg, his fingers returned to their normal pale color. "Strange..." he muttered. He wasn't a scientist, so he couldn't explain what exactly the egg was doing, but it seemed harmless enough. 

He went over Xire and nodded respectfully before cradling his egg in one arm and using the other to pull himself onto her back. He sat behind Cori again and mirrored her way of positioning the egg between his legs so it wouldn't fall. Once he had, something dawned on him. He wasn't exhausted anymore. He'd been able to climb up without even a single slip-up. He stared down at his egg. Had it given him his strength back?

Cain followed Jess and Cori onto his Bond, eyes staring into the darkness of the Hatchery, waiting for Maks to appear with his egg. Already having seen the other two's egg, he wondered what would come of them, and how they would fit their personalities. Xire had been the only choice for Cain, the other eggs emitting an angry, evil aura, only Xire's of sheer power, hence her name. He subconsiously patted his Bond's neck, smiling and gazing at the ebony doors. It was odd, he recalled, that he never closed the doors after the choosing, yet they seemed to do so by themselves, for every time they returned, the doors were shut.

Maks walked out with the white egg. It seemed to emit a terrible beauty, though he saw past that. He walked through the barrier, but looked back longingly at the eggs that seemed to be stronger. He looked back down at the egg before climbing back up onto Xier, obvious distaste on his face. "Now we go to the Dark Mansion," He stated.

Skye peered around the room, holding the egg tightly to her chest, keeping it warm with her hoodie where it was secure. She saw most of the room was of her favorite colors. Red, black, and white. The room was fairly spacious and the bed was larger than her bed from her house. The bed had White fluffy sheets, similar to the ones back at home. She pressed down on one of the pillows, finding it to be extremely plushy. She smiled and scanned the closet, finding it had her choice selection of clothing. The walls were plain white and the fluffy carpeting was black. By appearance to another person, the room might seem odd, but she found it to be perfect. This was great, excellent even. Eventually, she walked over and obediently did as she was told, she gently placing the egg in the incubator, where it could keep warm. She scratched her head and turned to Taylor, keeping her eyes on the egg though she was facing her.

"How long should it take for this egg to hatch?" She questioned, still eager to find out what creature was inside of it. 

Maks opened his mouth to say something to Cain, but the rush of wind in his mouth surprised him. He clamped his mouth shut, but found Cain had already turned around. The mansion was in sight and Maks slipped down easily, not being careful with the egg. It jostled around as he landed on the ground, but he didn't let it fall. He shifted the weight of the egg into his right hand and waited for the others to dispatch.

Taylor grinned at Skye. "I wouldn't know. Your creature will hatch when he or she is ready," She said and shrugged. "Shadow hatched before he got in the incubator," She said with a slight chuckle. It had been night-time then and she had stumbled to her room, exhausted. No one had been there to greet her and she had found the guest book by chance.
