Holding his egg close to his chest, Jess slid off the dragon, landing on his feet. It was amazing. He hadn't felt this good for the entire time he'd been in Otherworld. Even though he looked practically the same as he did that morning, there was still a brighter look in his eye. He looked up at the mansion. It was so big it was almost unbelievable. He ignored the thought of accidentally getting lost in there. He glanced at his egg before looking at Maks with distaste. How could he be so reckless with his egg. It was going to hatch into his Bond, shouldn't that be reason enough to take care of it? He wondered what this guy's problem was. He'd seemed in a bad mood since Jess first saw him. (( Lol, buy guys :3 And, Shadow, I think everyone hates their characters at one point or another :P )) |

Ex: The northern winds blowed forth, chilling everything in its wake. The snow covered gr@ss that remained from the Summer blew; The snow slung off of them incorespondents. The two neon green eyes of a grey and white furry creature humbled through the terra as a unearthly snarl whipped through the chilly air. The claws of this thing where horrific, shards of ice making them nightmarish. It parted its grey skinned mouth, cream colored fangs poking through its pink gums. The cottage of three lie just ahead, very wise in the coming of this beast. They where prepared, snarling creatures of three variations stood at their sides. They where ready for the battle of Arkeria.

((ACK! D: Sorry!)) Corrine slid off the dragon's back, tripping on a rock and stumbling forwards, tossing her egg. "Ah!" She cried briefly, trying to propell herself forwards as she fell, pushing off her last contact with ground and diving towards her Bond. Her fingertips brushed it, then caught a hold on the silky surface, the girl pulling in the egg close to her chest and swiveling around so she landed on her back. A bit surprised by Cori's sudden tripping, Cain knelt over her, making a sweeping hand motion. "Safe!" He declared, acting as if he were a baseball umpire, then propping up Cori's back, looking down at the new Dark. "You okay?" Cain asked, glancing at the egg to make sure it wasn't cracked. Thank heavens, it wasn't. The girl rubbed her back, where a bit of dirt and gras.s had collected from her fall, brushing that off and checking her egg a few times. "Yeah, I'm fine. Wow, this is where we're staying?" She said as she shifted her body weight into a crouch, then stood from that, shaking bits of soil out of her auburn hair. Cain nodded silently, walking over to the ebony door and opening it, revealing a "lobby" covered in white marble, with an exception of the walls and furniture. He gestured with his hands, ushering them in, while Xire stationed herself at the back window, so she could listen in. There was a large house next to Cain's room where Xire slept, since the dragon was too large to fit inside the mansion.

Maks stepped inside. This was a lot larger than anything he had ever seen back home. It seemed more peaceful in here and it made Maks uncomfortable. He shifted the weight of the egg again, wanting to put it down. "Where are our rooms," He said, not being able to imagine all of them staying clustered together when the mansion was so big. [[Skye still needs to reply to Taylor]]

Cain raised an eyebrow at Maks, who seemed unsettled by the tranquility of the Mansion, and he reached for the black guestbook, flipping it open and searching down the list for their names. He cleared his throat, then looked at his three new Darks, reading aloud which rooms they would be living in. "Maks, room 34. Corrine, room 23. Jess, room 19." Snapping the book closed, Cain placed it back into the marble bookshelf, gaze looking from egg to egg. "Well then, each room will probably already be fitted to your own tastes, as they change along with you. Your Bond will live in your room too, once it hatches, and the room should be big enough to accomodate it, unless it's overly... sized, like Xire. In that case, we'll have a house tailored to it's size, such as the one by my room, so that you two can still live side by side. My room, if you need me, is number three, up on one of the highest levels to the right. Any questions?"

Maks took in all the information, suddenly feeling drained and tired. He looked down at the egg and reality hit him. He was never returning back home. His sister probably hated his guts for choosing to be a Dark and he didn't know what he was turning into. "I think I'm going to retire if you don't mind," He said to Cain and stepped into the elevator that had caught his eye. He punched in his floor and the doors closed silently. He didn't feel like being cramped in an elevator with anyone so he let the doors shut before anyone else could get on. When the door opened, he stepped into his room. The walls were black and his carpet was a deep purple. The sheets and comforter was made of black silk with white lines stitched into the edges. He walked over to his black dresser and found all of his usual clothing. He shut the drawer and found an incubator on a small, round table. He placed the egg inside of it and it seemed to tremble when it was under the heat. "You better be something good," He muttered under his breath.
