Jess followed the group into the mansion. The inside was even more amazing than the outside, although he didn't show it. He just stood, looking around with a blank ex pression on his face, until Cain started talking again. When his room number was as-signed, he couldn't help but smile a little. Nineteen was one of his favorite numbers and on top of that, it was far enough away from Maks to make him feel comfortable. Something about the guy made Jess think that he might be murdered in his sleep by Maks. He frowned at the thought. Great. It seemed like he had picked up paranoia somewhere along the way. Although he was curious to see what his room looked like, he wasn't tired, so he decided to linger in the "lobby" for a while. It really was incredible. Maybe he'd be able to explore later on.

(( Excuse that post. Blame my dumb cousin. >>; ))
Lumasi walked through a rather backwards forest, the tree's where the size of flowers, yet the floral aspects grew taller then herself. A backwards breeze blew through Lumasi's hair, seeming to drive her towards a hidden place.
Behind the parted bushes, the grumbling of thunder above told her to get out of the open air. She ran through the parted foliage, flashing her orbs for a place to go. A building of some sort came into her likes, intriguing her to go inside. With a hint of curiosity, she walked into the plaster(?) building.
To her unknowing surprise, rows of eggs lie just ahead of her. She placed a finger to her cheek, wondering if this place was guarded. One of the eggs almost called for her, the feeling of it drove Lumasi to the dark colored egg.

Taylor stiffened as a ripple went through her. Someone had entered the hatchery. "If you'll excuse me, Skye. I must go. I shall be back in no less than an hour," She told the girl and hurried from the room. Taylor ran to the elevator and quickly pressed the button to the top floor. When the doors opened, she ran to her room and slipped inside. Her room had stayed the same since she had last been there. The carpeting was a deep black with swirls of sapphire colored symbols lacing through it. The mattress was covered by stiff, but soft pillows that were a deep black and the bedspread had the same pattern as the floor. The walls were a royal blue with black swirls chasing around each other and her nightstand and dresser was black. Taylor ignored all of this and pulled open the gla.ss door to her balcony. She stepped outside and the door closed itself. "Shadow!" She called and he looked up from his meal, instantly intune to Taylor's thoughts. She informed him of what was going on and he beat his wings, flying up to her. Taylor crouched on the railing and sprung into the air. She was only free-falling for a moment before Shadow caught her. He dropped a couple of feet, adjusting to her weight, but took off steadily toward the hatchery. Once there, Shadow landed right on the steps. His tongue lolled out of his mouth as he panted from exertion. He had been flying non-stop all day and still hadn't had a good rest. Taylor pat him on the back and rubbed the base of his spine, where his wings sprout from his back. He relaxed instantly and Taylor smiled. "You'll get a good, long rest tonight," She promised to him and stepped inside the hatchery. The barrier rippled, as if welcoming her. She saw a young girl, probably her age, peering at a dark-looking egg. "Excuse me," Taylor said, trying to be polite, but not wanting to startle the girl. "I'm Taylor, leader of the Lights. It looks like you have found your bond. You may take that egg with you." Taylor said, wanting to explain quickly. She did not want to leave Skye for long. The girl was not used to this world yet. "Because you have entered the hatchery, you must be a Light. This is a place called Otherworld, where Lights and Darks live side by side. The Light Mansion is just a few minutes away on wolf-back." She said to the girl. "I can take you to your new home if you'll come with me and I'll be able to explain more thoroughly there," She said.

Lumasi stepped back a few spaces as the sounds of a feminine voice ran through her ears. Her eyes shot up to the figure, listening to every word she said. She to let out words, yet they came together as mere mumbles. She picked up the mention of 'You may take the egg.'; Her arms spreading to pick up the black shelled egg that had been seemingly calling for her the entire time she was there. She held the egg close to her chest, it seemed to pulse rays of some sort of glee into Lumasi's body.
"It is a pleasure to meat you, Taylor." She spoke, pulling her bangs back behind her ears before giving a shy smile. "I have been wondering for what seems to be about a year what this place is called.", "It is as if it is a reverse land." She spoke to the girl, flashing her eyes down to the egg that was clenched in her arms. "I would love to come with you." She spoke.

((x3)) Corrine continued stare at the starry egg, only looking up when her room number was called, repeating it in her head. 23. 23. 23. Often she had trouble remembering things, and began to trace her room number onto the egg Bond, then rapped her fingers on in incessantly. The girl stood, looking at Jess and Cain, Maks having left to his room. "I want to check out my room, but we should meet up later today, so that we won't get lost." Cain nodded in agreement, looking out at Xire, who seemed to be snoozing happily. Flight of newcomers always tired her out, and he didn't seem to care too much. "How about... A half an hour right here? I'd love to see if your Bonds have hatched. Xire hatched on contact with me." Cain smiled, reminiscing over the day all those years ago when he met his Bond for the first time. Cori nodded, turning and looking at the directory to find her room, then dissapearing somewhere in the Mansion. Down the hall, to the left.... Cori was looking for the number 23, looking every which-way, finally seeing the golden late with the two numbers on it. She pushed open the dors warily, gasping as she saw the room. All across the walls, constellations were mapped out, as if her own private observoratory. Laying the egg of her Bond down on the thic white sheets, covered in a sheer bluish cover that almost glowed. It was absoloutely amazing! There was a single large window overlooking the Darklands, a shadowy version of the land they had arrived in. For a second she checked her pulse to make sure that she hadn't died and gone to heavan.

Jess nodded at Cain's suggestion, pushing himself off the wall he had just leaned on and going to follow Cori. If the mansions room numbers were set up like a hotel, then their rooms would be close to one another. He walked quietly after her, his shoes barely making noise on the floor. He didn't even think Cori noticed her. He spotted his room number before she found her's and stopped in front of it. He stared at the glossy rosewood doors with the silver number 19 on it before pushing it open. The sight made his jaw drop. First off, the size hit him. It was bigger than his whole apartment back home! He looked around the room. The carpet was a teal color and black lightning bolt prints ran across it in a diagonal pattern. The walls were solid black but were glossy and it was almost like different patters formed and reformed every few seconds. The ceiling was teal but had a large black print on it that almost looked like a dragon's shadow. The wall directly in front of him was made completely from a window. He stared out of it at the Darklands for a few moments before continuing to look around the room. There was a huge black Japanese-style bed placed in the middle of the window wall and a few meters to its left was a large red... dog bed? He frowned. The rest of the furniture consisted of a large hammock in a corner near the door, a dresser on the wall beside it, a comfy looking teal chair next to a small rosewood desk and matching bookshelf packed with books. He went over to the bookshelf, setting his egg in the chair, and pulled a random book off its shelf. He stared at the cover. He didn't recognize the ti tle. Frowning slightly, he flipped through it, reading random pas-sages. It actually didn't sound bad so he set it on the desk for later. When he looked up, he gasped. He hadn't noticed it since he'd been right beside it, but on either side of the door were two black dragon statues with ruby eyes. They stood on their hind legs and clasped claws over the door. "Wow," he said, blinking in surprise. This place was something else. It was hard to believe this was really his room now. Much like the way Cori did it, he checked his pulse to make sure he was still alive. He just couldn't believe it. (( Jess may look like a punk, but he's really just a fantasy book fanatic x3 ))

Maks looked down at the egg in the incubator. "Can you just hatch already or tell me what you're going to be?" He practically snarled at the egg. The white egg shivered, like it was absorbing Maks's anger. It then spoke to him again. I will hatch when I see fit. You will not be dissappointed by me. I may not be as big as Xier, but my strength is hidden. The words seemed to wrap around Maks's mind. He slammed his hands down on the table before giving up. The doors behind him slid open and he stepped outside. He sat on one of the chairs overlooking the balcony. He could see clearly from his seat, the balcony being made of a steel fencing. He thought of Taylor and her bond, Shadow. They seemed to be inseperable partners. That used to be him. How could his own sister ignore him like that after he had cried his heart out for her. He buried his face in his hands and wept, but the tears were black and oily. He cried out as he saw them and flung his arms away. When he looked up a wolf statue had molded itself to the balcony wall. Maks thought it must have been because of Shadow, but this wolf was pure white and unlike Shadow's twisting and swirling blue markings, this wolf had angry purple streaks that seemed to be slashed into its pelt. Its mouth was upturned into a snarl and Maksis grew confused. He could never picture Shadow like this. A small crack sounded in his ears. He jumped up, knocking the chair over. It righted itself as he hurried through the opened gla.ss doors of the balcony. The egg seemed to be shaking on its perch and Maks knelt down so he came to eye level with it. The egg shivered, feeling his presence. The cracking grew more audible and Maks did not have to strain his ears to listen. Small lines were now etched into the egg. One more large crack and Maks threw his hands up to cover his face. Whatever was inside seemed to push the egg shells away in a manner that sent them sprawling across the room. Some pieces ricocheted off of his arms. He opened his eyes that had been squeezed shut and put his arms down. A small white wolf stood before him. It looked like the baby version of the statue. It had two tails that twined with each other as if they were fighting and its eyes were a deep violet. The wolf lifted up two demon-like wings to him and he staggered back. The wolf snarled at him, testing the boys' courage. Maks walked back over. He examined the baby wolf. It's wings were definitely demon-like, but they looked like they could support the wolf for flight. The violet markings were there, cutting across the snow white fur angrily. They looked like slashes deep in the fur, but they also gave a look of ancient symbols. Maks knew if he examined more closely, the symbols would translate to power, evil, etc. "Rune," Maks said, not exactly knowing where the name came from. The wolf shivered as it was given its name. "Rune," It repeated, its voice deep and already ancient. "I will grow in three days time," It rasped and Maks held out his arms, wanting to feel his bond and know it to be real. Rune stumbled back before leaping off of the table and heading toward the balcony. "Don't get all lovey-dovey with me," It snarled and jumped up on the edge to the balcony, looking more catlike than wolf. [[wow]] ---- Taylor grinned at the girl, but a shiver suddenly went up her spine. She shook it off for now. "Please come with me. My bond, Shadow, is a bit tired. I would like him to be able to rest when we get back," She told the girl and walked back out of the hatchery. The barrier seemed to stick to her, wanting her to stay a bit longer. She whispered a goodbye to it and mounted Shadow. "Did you feel it," She whispered in his ear. He nodded solemly. Taylor stuck out her hand, motioning for the girl to board and ready to help if she needed it.

Jess knelt in front of the bookshelf, totally ignoring his egg for the sake of all the fantastic books that he'd never even heard of before. He pulled another one out and flipped through it as well, putting it on top of the other book he had deemed as something to read later. A few more book inspections later, he found he had a good reading list to start on and pushed himself off the bookshelf. Remembering he had to meet up with the others, he checked his watch. It was frozen. He rolled his eyes for forgetting that it always had been frozen. Still, they'd need to meet up soon and Maks still didn't know. He shuddered at the thought of being alone with him, but pushed it aside. Maks wouldn't actually kill him, maim him maybe but... he smacked his forehead with his palm. Maks wouldn't do that! He scolded himself. You're being too paranoid! Jess shrugged. There was always one way to find out. He left his room, leaving the egg behind, he could retrieve it later, and made his way to room... what was it? Thirty-four? Yeah that was it. He took the stairs, trying to buy himself time to convince himself not to do it, but soon enough he was standing outside Maks door. He sighed. No use standing outside like an idiot. "Maks?" he called out, knocking on the door. "Maks, Cain wanted us to meet back in the lobby soon. You left before he told us, so..." Jess felt stupid for talking to a door. He wasn't even sure if Maks was in his room.

Aria opened her eyes to the farmiliar smell of gr*censored*. Aria always slept near a tree and was wondering when they would find her and take her to the place all others seemed to go to. I am so hungry Aria thought to herself. Aria walked a while along the edge of some trees and then spotted an apple tree and started running towards it. When she got near the tree she could see that the apples were way to high for her to reach at her height. She quickly ran to a nearby log and rolled it towards the tree. When it was finally under the apple tree she sat down to catch her breath. Then an apple just fell out of the tree into her lap. "Gah!" Aria said mad that she had done that work for nothing. Maybe not nothing... Aria thought. She got up and picked five apples to save for later. I wish they would find me already. she thought. Then she ate 2 of her 6 apples and fell asleep. The apples rolled everywhich way and Aria slept on.

Maks heard Jess on the other side of his door, but the voice was muted by the thick wood. Irritated at being disturbed and rejected by his own bond, he opened the door a crack. He did not want Jess to see Rune just yet. The wolf had other plans though. He padded over to the door and nudged it open, sitting at Jess's feet. He came to Jess's ankles and seemed to be growing by the hour. Maks glared at the wolf. "What do you want, Jess?" He asked again, still glaring at the wolf. Its demon-like wings shivered under the glare and it snapped at him. "Watch it," Maks growled and felt his ears grow red with embara.ssment.

Corrine opened the door a bit, leaving her egg on the sheets and peeked out down the hallway, where Jess stood in front of Maks' door. After Maks answered, there was an unsettling air about it, moreso than usual with the boy. He had barely opened his door, as if hiding something in his room. The walls, maybe? Perhps Maks doesn't want us knowing the true depection of his soul like the rooms show off. Cori thought, gasping suddenly when a white wolf with demonic wings sood by Jess' ankles. Not thinking, she gasped loudly, closing the door quickly and looking at her own Bond's egg. His hatched! Maks' Bond hatched! There had been purple slashes all over the wolf's body, looking as if someone had ripped him open. Her mind was racing, filled with excited things, and she sat by her egg. When would it hatch? What would come out? She hoped that it's personality was as beautiful as the egg it was born in. Her thoughts were interrupted by a shaking in her hands, and the girl's green eyes looked down at the moving egg. The moving egg! Cori set it in the middle of her bed, kneeling off to one side and staring in wonder as a small crack began to form. The bright light from the silvery specks began to dim as some different light began to leak from the ever-growing crack. This progressed until the egg was completely navy, a blinding flash filling the room. Corrine covered her eyes with her arm, trying to see what her bond was hatching into. Blinking away the last bits of light, Cori looked nervously upon the bed, body shaking with adrenaline as she peered over the edge. There stood a pup. One bluish tinted pup with white-silver speckles all over it, like the star pattern on her egg. It's eyes were a very light blue, like it's shining almost-white pelt, and it's pale tongue lolled out happily when it turned to stare at Cori. two tails thumped happily on the bed and the wolfish Bond folded its wings, standing uncertainly on it's four paws. Bounding over joyously to the girl, the pup licked her shocked face, twin tails still wagging. It took a moment, but Cori's glee finally registered, giggling a tiny bit first, then scratching the wolf's head, shaking the loose, long, lush fur and smiling brightly. "What's your name, little Bond?" She asked the wolf, who she as.sumed could speak, as Shadow, the wolf Taylor owned, could, and Xire had mumbled a few sentances. The wolf pup, whic Cori identifyed to be a girl, barked and licked Corrine's face, looking into the girl's green eyes. "You are to give me one." She said, starting to calm after the intial excitement of her hatching, sitting down. Corrine screwed up her face, looking at her Bond with confusion, and opening her mouth to speak. "That doesn't seem quite fair. You should choose your name. After all, who knows you better than yourself?" It was rhetorical, for the two knew that soon they would be the only ones who knew each other best. "Then... Aleigha. Or Aly. It rings better as Aly." "Aleigha, what a pretty name. Mine is Corrine, but as you will be called Aly, I want to be called Cori." Aly barked again and smiled, licking her Bond. "Much obliged to meet you, Cori."

Aria finally awoke from her nap and stood up to see apples all around her. They must have rolled around while I was asleep Aria thought. She then started picking them up. One apple was missing and Aria saw a line where the gr*censored* had been pushed down. ((like a bicycle track)) She started following the track. Aria knew that soon she would be takn to the place that the rest of the people like her go and she wished it would happen already. A few minutes later Aria spotted the apple and wondered how it got so far away. Aria than noticed something to her left. A large stone building was right there. Aria knew this must be the place since there was no human settlements here. She picked up her apple and slowly walked to the door. Aria knocked and then waited...
