Aleigha's eyes intensifyed, looking almost angrily at the small dragon, barking back, as it had snapped at her. Yes, a Bond should be protective of it's Bond, but to bite the air so close to Aly's nose when she only meant to say hello? How disrespectful. No manners at all. She fluffed her coat, sitting down and waiting for the rude dragon to realize that she only came over there to greet the newcomer. Corrine knelt by her Bond, warily looking at Ryuzak, who had snapped at the wolf-like animal, who had seemingly grown again. She did not have a fantasy of losing her fingers, eyes shifting from the Bond to Jess.

"A... lively one, you've got there, Jess. Pleasure to meet you, Ryuzak." Cori said politely, eyeing the dragon that was... purring as Jess scratched it's head. It was acting much more like a cat than a dragon, though she supposed there was a similar air about cat's as well. They held their heads high, and were quite independant. Aleigha would grow to have the same traits as well, though she remained a mere pup at the time, wanting to be at her new Bond's side constantly to protect her.

Rune turned back from Maksis and he did not notice the bond left his side until he saw the wolf leaping up to hit the elevator button. "What are you doing?" Maksis asked, exasperated. Here was Ryuzak, there to protect his bond right when he hatched, and Rune just leaves Maksis alone? Rune looked up sharply at his bond.

"I'm hungry so I"m going to find food," He mocked and a red glare simmered in Maksis's usually green eyes. "You're my bond. You are supposed to care about me and protect me," He practically spit at the wolf. "But no. You think you can do whatever you want just because I'm a little mad that my sister's been missing from my life for five years. I come into this crazy world, find her and she doesn't even Care! Then I choose my new life as a Dark to get away from her and I wanted that stupid green egg, but you just had to make me pick you," He practically screeched. Rune watched him shake out all of his anger and sadness with pity the last thing on his mind. "Get yourself together. Whining like a child is not going to help you," The wolf said and rolled his eyes before stepping into the now open elevator.

The door to the elevators closed and Maksis slumped against the wall. He looked up at the other two sadly, the red dying from his eyes. He realized these kids did not know Taylor was his sister. They probably thought he had issues for picking that evil bond. They probably thought he was evil, too. Maybe I am. He thought to himself.

Taylor looked at the girl skeptically. She realized that she must be a Light at heart because she was drawn to this place. "Alright. I'll grab you a bite to eat and show you your room," She said to the girl.

Jess rubbed the back of his neck, laughing nervously. "Yeah... I think he's just being a little over-protective. I'm sorry, I don't think his intentions are to hurt anyone." He stopped petting the dragon and when Ryuzak looked up at him with a questioning look, Jess poked him on the snout playfully. "Right?" Ryuzak sneezed and shook his head, before turning to look at the others and giving them an apologetic look.

Jess had been paying so much attention to Ryuzak that he jolted violently when Maksis started shouting. He looked at each one frightfully as they spoke. Why was Rune being such a jerk? Couldn't he at least put in an effort to like Maksis. Ryuzak seemed to sense Jess' distress and growled lowly at Rune until the elevator doors closed. His growls turned into a hiss of surprise when Jess shooed him off his lap. When at first Ryuzak didn't move Jess picked his bond up around the middle and set him down on the floor beside him. Cautiously Jess went over to Maksis and sat beside him with his legs folded under him. "Maks," he said softly, "I didn't really understand much of what you said but I can tell you're under a lot of stress and your bond shouldn't talk to you like that given the situation. I don't know if you guys will ever warm up to each other but... mahhh... I'm no good at comfort speeches." He gave a nervous laugh and shifted so his was leaning against the wall next to Maksis and looked up at him. "I'm here for you. Even if your bond is a psychopathic demon that doesn't make you one also." He laughed nervously again. He'd probably made an idiot out of himself in front of everyone, but at least he had tried. 

Maksis looked up at Jess sadly, though comforted by his talk. He thought that they would have turned away from him. He had been a jerk when he had first come. It was all Taylor's fault. He closed his eyes and tried to remember where he had found so much rage. His mind wandered before the encounter with Taylor to when he first arrived. The inky blackness had surrounded him. He knew it was inside him now, feeding on his anger and rage. He knew it was growing stronger. The thought terrified him, but also...calmed him. "Thanks Jess." He said as he opened his eyes. He was going to tell the truth. Everything when the meeting started.

Rune sat in the elevator examining himself. The angry purple lines looking like dagger cuts along his flank. He seemed to smile, but it looked more like a snarl or a grimace. He unfolded his wings and there was no comforting ruffle of feathers, but the stretching of bat-like skin that was pure white. He pulled them in front of his snout and found the same lines criscrossing around his wings. When the door opened, he jumped to his feet and scented the air. The kitchen was off to his left. He headed that way as the elevator doors closed behind him. When he reached the kitchen, he jumped up to the counter, flapping his wings to help him gain purchase. He could not fly yet, of course. He was only a hatchling. He pa.ssed a bowl of fruit and his nose wrinkled in disgust. When he reached the fridge, he crouched down on his haunches and leaped. He hit the refrigerator's handle and the door swung open. He landed lopsided and immedietly straightened himself out before grabbing a small steak from the bottom shelf. He kicked the door shut, ripped open the package to the steak and ate the meat hungrily. He licked the last of the blood from the carton and resumed to lick the last traces off of his snout.

Aria said "Thank you so much I will be grateful forever." Aria knew she probably would. Aria stepped in to the building and was so happy to be out of the way of bugs and other things that had bothered her. Aria was looking at the inside of the magnificent building she had dreamed about and was wondering what to do first when suddenly a thought hit her. "I've heard something about eggs in a conversation I ovberheard, what does that mean?" Aria knew that she might not get an answer but she had to try.

Taylor shrugged away what Aria said. "Yes. The kitchen's right through here," She motioned toward the door to the right. "You'll find anything you could possibly want in there." She said distractedly and opened up the guest book. Aria's name was already scrawled into the book. She was three floors below Taylor and that was fine with her. She wasn't focusing on that right now though. She was focusing on how to get into Dark territory without Cain seeing her.

"I know you are trying to avoid telling me but what are you hiding? I wont tell anyone." Aria crossed her heart she just wanted a friend. She walked towards the kitchen and then stopped looking at all the other things in this place. They must have everything. "Also do you know about how many people live here?" Aria knew that Taylor might now answer her but,again, she would try. "I will not give up on finding out what you are up to, so it would be better if you just told me."

Cori knelt down next to Maksis, shifting her legs into a criss-cross style, looking up at the ceiling. Glancing at the clock on the wall, she realized it was time for the meeting to start, and looked to Jess. Aleigha padded over, seeming to have grown a bit again, and stretched her wings, yawning. Tentitavely, Cori slid her fingers into Maks', grabbing his hand and slowly pulling him up, hoping that he saw she meant this in a friendly manner. "The meeting should be beginning soon." Corrine said nervously, attempting to cover up her emotions and biting her lip. "We should go to the lobby now."

[[The doors are always unlocked because it only opens to lights and Lake, the room is supposed to suit the resident's tastes. My room is black and covered with blue swirls because Taylor shows her love for Shadow and she thinks its epic. So your room can be however you want it to be 8D]]

Shadow sped onward toward the Dark Lands. Taylor kept her head down when they pa.ssed the barrier. Darkness seemed to swirl around her as it inspected her and she fidgeted on Shadow's back, very uncomfortable away from her land. She shook her head and ignored the cuious blackness and Shadow beat his wings faster. He gained speed and seemed to rocket toward the Dark Mansion. He kept to the higher wings and kept his ears pricked, scenting the area and listening to the movement inside the building. He realized most of them were in the hallways and Shadow scented for Maks's familiar scent. He found a small balcony with wolf-like statues seeming to guard it. Shadow seemed to shiver under their glare and Taylor stepped down and awaited on the balcony, hoping Cain wouldn't find her.
