Corrine felt the blood rushing to her face as the confused boy behind her wrapped his arms around her waist to keep from falling off, murmuring an apology when he realized what he had been doing. She giggled lightly, telling him she didn't mind, then looking ahead, seeing a large stone building, completely black. Opening her mouth to ask if that was the Hatchery, air sped into Cori's mouth and she wasn't able to utter a word, looking hopefully at Cain. The Dark leader caught the girl's stare, and he, who was more used to talking in-flight, spoke for her.

"That building, up ahead, that's where your Bond awaits you, the Dark Hatchery." He said this with a smile, directing his eyes forwards again and clicking again so Xire would remember where the Hatchery was. Often while flying, Xire forgot where she was going, and simply listened for reminders from Cain. In general, she just loved being in the air, and would be hapy to meander aimlessly instead of going to a certain destination. Pulling in her legs close to her body, Xire's eyes narrowed as she closed in her wings and dove towards the black building. Seconds before the dragoness would crash, she spread her wings, creading such resistance that it stopped the arrivals just before the building, the dragon shaking her head and laying down, making dismount easier for the arrivals. Cain slid off first, offering a hand to anyone who needed help off Xire. Corrine again took his offer, sliding down with the reas.surance that Cain would catch her if she slipped. Thankfully, she made it to the ground without as.sistance, and stood by the Dark Leader, waiting for the others to dismount.

Maks jumped off swiftly, feeling renewed with the anger simmering beneath his shattered soul. He stumbled a bit when he hit the ground but stood straighter when he found his balance. He looked up at the Dark hatchery and then cast his gaze to the ebony doors. His grin widened when he thought of his new bond. Hopefully, it was something as powerful as Xier so that maybe...no. He cut off those thoughts, not wanting to portray his plans.

Cain beckoned for Xire to come near the door, then pushed the grand ebony slabs oben, revealing a room cloaked in shadows. "Now then." He said, suddenly serious, sea-green eyes gazing into each of the arrival's, almost a threatening glare about them. "If you are truely meant to be a Dark, you will pas.s through the barrier without hesitation. If not, I will have Xire fly you to the Light hatchery, where you can live with your Light bond for eternity." Once more, the joyous look fufilled his face, and he smiled, making a sweeping gesture into the room. "Well then, choose wisely. Your Bond is the other part of your soul, and you will not survive in the Otherworld without it."

Corrine's eyes were wide with wonder, and she shuffled forwards a couple of steps, mystifyed by the shadowy intruige. With a shaky hand, she reached out to the opening of the Hatchery, partially expecting for her hand to be blocked by the "barrier", and being sent to the Light Hatchery. Woosh! Her fingertips left a bluish swirl in the barrier for a second. Her hand had gone through! A grin came to her face as she walked fully into the Hatchery. She was now a Dark.

Shadow landed gracefully on the entrance to the stairs. He knelt down and lifted his wings out of Skye's way. Taylor would jump around them, but Skye was not used to riding a wolf with wings. Taylor chuckled and Shadow seemed to smile back at her. She jumped off of him with ease and held out a hand in case Skye needed help. "It gets better," She said. The mansion had a large courtyard in front of it with beautiful shrubbery and flowers blooming everywhere. Hummingbirds and butterflies swooped down into the always bloomed flowers and flew lazily on. The courtyard bloomed with life and Taylor couldn't help but smile.

To the side of the mansion were tall apple trees that were always in full bloom with delicious and mouth-watering apples. Small animals ran through the dotted shade, chasing each other lazily. Shadow watched the animals hungrily and Taylor felt a pang of guilt. He probably hadn't eaten in a while. "I'll meet you back in the room later," Taylor told him and he blinked at her gratefully.

Corrine watched happily as Jess made it through the barrier, since he had seemed so shaken up since he had joined with the Darks. Her happiness was overwhelmed soon enough by a stronger, more intense emotion. Slowly, Cori turned her head to the right, searching in the shadows for what had caught her mind's attention. There was a subtle pulling on her thoughts, tugging her, beckoning her, to find what was over there. Taking a small step forwards, Corrine knew what she had found, and let a sheepish grin sprawl onto her face. It was her bond. The girl could see the egg that held her bond-to-be, looking at it lovingly, wanting to reach out and touch it. She restrained herself, and instead analyzed the shell. It was midnight blue, like a cloudless night's sky, and covered in tiny whitish-silver flecks resembling the stars. Closing her eyes, Cori saw herself in a field staring at a starry sky and smiling, the world happy and bright, not dark as it should seem. This was definately her bond. Kneeling down, Cori reached her hand out to the egg, holding her breath as her fingertips brushed it's surface, a swell of warmth sending through her body. Her eyes softened as she gingerly picked up the egg, cradling it in her arms and stroking softly the surface, smooth and silky.

"It's so... beautiful..." She whispered, not finding any word that expressed the immediate fondness of the egg, looking with a loving heart onto her Bond. Curiosity pricked at her neck, but Cori ignored it, eyes locked on the egg. Corrine began to hum quietly, hoping that whatever creature that resided inside the egg would appreciate music, and be just as breath-taking as the shell it was in now. 

Taylor smiled at Skye's obvious discomfort with getting off of Shadow. Shadow flapped his wings a few times before he got enough leverage off the ground. He shot off and the startled creatures ran as he dived at them. Taylor turned back to Skye. "Come on. I'll show you your room," She said and opened up the mansion's door for Skye. She left the doors open and walked inside.

There, she fished a small guestbook from underneath a small table. She flipped it open and saw her own name at the top. Next to it was her room number. 13. It had always been her favorite number, oddly enough. Her room had been on the top floor, the first room being on the top and the higher numbers at the bottom. She watched as underneath her name, Skye's appeared in a flurry of dust. The room number next to it was 17. That was right down the hall from Taylor's. "Skye, come here," She called.

Maks did not feel a glimmer of doubt when he looked at the barrier. He did not hesitate like the others did, but walked past. The barrier seemed to shiver under his touch, almost recoiling from the darkness inside of him, but let him pa.ss. He looked around the Dark hatchery, his eyes adjusting to the little light. He scanned the rows and rows of eggs silently. He spotted one that looked green and lush. Like leaves. He began to walk towards it, but then felt a presence enter his mind. Do not go any closer to that pitiful excuse for an egg. Find me instead. The voice spoke to him and Maks looked around. He spotted a pure white egg with purple lines running wildly around it. It seemed to be shaking and when he made contact with it, the voice came again. Yes. Now pick me up and wait. It said and disconnected the connection. Maks picked it up, frowning at the plainness. He wanted a powerful creature to come out. He wanted a dragon.

[[Too bad Maks. You don't get no dragon.]]

Skye slowly followed after Taylor, turning her head, wondering if she should leave the doors wide open or shut them. She quickly shut them and stood awkwardly in the large building, seeming as if it HAD literally been carved by angels, or really amazing architects. She watched Taylor and quickly walked over to her when her name had been called. She looked at what  Taylor was holding, appearing to be some sort of notebook. She scanned the page finding her name and a number beside it. She turned to look up at Taylor.

"Hi." She spoke quietly, not quite having much more to say. She wondered if Taylor thought she was awkward, since she barely said anything to anyone.
