It is the mediev[injection]al time, The characters live in a place called Ines, Ines is elven for 'Lake of Moonlight'

Eclipse rolled over in her sleep, She hated sleeping and would sometimes stay awake all night.
She stretched her tired limbs and stood up, She had spent all last night practicing her sword fighting and archery and was know so sore it felt like her feet where going to fall off.
She feel back onto bed and curled up into a ball, she didn't usually sleep in but today was special. It was the day she was going to see if she was the earth Elemental.

It was mid morning and she rushed up the temple's steps, The air bubble around her swirled with the colors of the water and the animals swimming in the depths under her.
The temple was on the bottom of the lake and you have do ask one of the whales to bring you down here. Eclipse's ears popped and started burning from the air presser on the bottom of the lake. When she entered the Temple the air turned.. sweeter, she didn't mind being a mile in the water and the smell of fresh grass filed the air. " Welcome Eclipse," one of the great counsel said," Please sit there," He said pointing at a chair in the middle of the chamber. Her heart raced and she almost ran back outside to go drown herself.
One of the members laughed as she slowly sat in the chair and slipped onto the ground," I can see your nervous," The counsel member said. There where Four Counsel members, each representing an element. The Member that had just spoken was a women, her hair flowed as if she where in water and her voice was like a waterfall in spring. " I am Sapphire, the current water elemental" She said her voice echoing across the floor. Another women across her said," I am Emerald, the earth elemental." The man that had spoke to her at first looked at her and smiled," I am Onyx, The air elemental." The other man looked up and glared down at her," I am Ruby, The fire elemental." Eclipse sort of giggled and then composed herself. " isn't Ruby a girls name?" She asked him. He turned as red as a ruby and turned towards Emerald," I don't see why everyone always has to ask that!" He yelled. The temple rumbled and Ruby grumbled," Ruby isn't a girls name"

Finally Emerald stepped down from her chair and walked towards Eclipse," He gets grumpy when every someone talks about How RUBY IS A GIRLS NAME!" She yelled loud enough for Ruby to hear. The temple turned into chaos, jars of stuff started flying around and hitting people in the face. One even hit Eclipse and she fell backwards into a pot of dirt. When she got up the room had started calming down and luckily no one was hurt. " Well wasn't that fun?" Emerald said, A tree sprouting in her hair. " Eclipse can you come with me for a second before we start the test?" She asked taking Eclipse's hand. "Um.. Ya sure." She replied turning over to where Emerald was leading her. " I hope you understand what you are going to have to take over if you really are the earth elemental, There will be no breaks for the rest of your life, no family, no boyfriend. It will be a huge sacrifice." Emerald said turning to Eclipse once they had left the temple. Eclipse nodded her head," This is what I have wanted for so long, the power to control... earth, water, fire, air, any of them would have been wonderful." Emerald laughed," But if it was fire you would have to deal with the most manly man ever 'ruby'" They shared a laugh in the hallway and turned back towards the temple. Emerald was sure now that Eclipse knew what she was getting herself into and was ready to handle the responsibility. When they got back to the temple a few other people where lining up, One waved at her and got a stern 'look' from Ruby. " It is know time.. FOR THE TEST!" Ruby said standing up onto a chair. All the others started cheering and the elements started talking about there retirement plans.
" Like every hundred years, a new set of elements must be chosen, they must be brave, bold, kind, talented, have a good work ethic, and have a good attitude!" Emerald said, her voice echoing across the room. " It is time to choose... THE EARTH ELEMENTAL!" The temple rumbled as if agreeing with her choice of words and the test began.



Emerald turned towards Eclipse and led her to a door," Be careful dear, may you come out victorious." She pushed Eclipse into a tunnel and the door closed around her.

Inside the Tunnel was a million different treasure, this test was to see what she would choose to survive the rest of the test. Eclipse glanced to where a few chests where standing opened, A ton of diamonds and Jewels littered the ground and glowed with a warmth, as if they where inviting her to take them. She walked over to where a small chest was and took it, not looking inside or anything, just taking it and leaving. A door opened on the other side and she sped back to the temple. " Congrats Eclipse! You passed!" Emerald yelled jumping up and down.
" Wait what?" Eclipse said looking shocked. " You passed!" Emerald said. " But I was supposed to be challenged, tempted.... You know normal test stuff!" She yelled trying to tell if this was some kind of prank. " Why waist time making up tests when you can just do one?" Onyx asked looking down at her." It sure saved a lot of time." Eclipse nodded," Thats true, but how do you know I am the earth elemental?" she asked. Emerald smiled," Look into the book." she said giving her the key to it. Eclipse nodded and put the key into the box. When she opened it there was two little eggs in it. " Take care of them." Emerald said, she then turned and yelled out to the Temple," Welcome the new earth elemental.... ECLIPSE!"

Eclipse fell back into the crowed and watched as a girl rushed into the presence of Ruby.
When she pasted the girl she wished her luck and waited for the ceremony for the Fire elemental to start. She was surprised that there where so many people who wanted to be a Fire elemental. She had only gone against a dozen on the race to Earth Elemental. There where at least Three dozen kids with red hair waiting for ruby to speak. Emerald called her name and she walked towards her," I can understand you want to tell your family, but we must watch the making of the other Elementals."

It was finally time for her to descend upon the earth. She had never been on planet earth. She had been in a deep slumber. She had wings lined with gold and silver. She dove down to the surface. She landed safely on one foot then on the other. She did not know the earths language. She only spoke hers. The ancient ways. She wrote in her own elements language too. She could understand earth language but she didn't know how to speak it. She had katana blades forged in the great city of Talir. Her parents had always protected her. She was always almost captured. She fought in many of the wars. She was the hero of her race... Princess Lyric
