A yawn escaped her throat as her fingers reached for the moonlit sky. They brushed against her eyes before resting at her sides, spreading dashes of crimson across her scarlet face. Soft lashes fluttered as she adjusted to the changing light.
Streetlights dotted the sidewalk, each one obscuring her vision as she passed by.
It was late - far too late for anyone else to be on the streets. There were a few stray lights amongst the other dormant houses, but that was about all. Not even a group of rambunctious teens dared to brave the streets at this hour. Though it was just the right time for her - or maybe not.
A few more yawns were let out as drowsiness befell the tiny figure. "Only a few more blocks to go..." She mumbled, watching her breath swirl and dissipate in front of her. A gust of wind wrapped around her and sent a shiver through her subtle frame. The hoodie she wore earlier now hung loose around her shoulders. Heat slowly escaped her body with every step. "I can't..." "need..sleep."
With a few more steps she collapsed, curling up on a nearby park bench. "I'll stay here for a few hours..then hurry home before no one can see me." She mumbled, slowly closing her eyes.
