((Ok, here's my intro! Have fun, everyone! ^_^))
Echo was just outside the entrance to the alley she had chosen to live in, looking for food. Although she was very hungry, whatever food she found would likely be given to her pet kitten, Mimi; Echo loved her pet and wanted to take care of her as best she can, but this often meant not taking adequate care of herself. She found something against a wall and picked it up, turning it over in her hand and examining it closely. Quickly she realised it to be a tin of sardines, and oddly they were brand new...thy must have fallen from somebody's shopping bag earlier in the day. It as late at night now...when most street children chose to stir.
Echo was moving around quite nimbly on all fours, though whenever she moved there was always the faint clatter of the chain around her right leg. It caused her a little pain when she moved on all fours, but even more when she walked on two legs, hence why she chose the former method to move around.
She glanced over at Mimi; the tiny, fluffy ginger kitten was tumbling her way over to Echo, still unsteady on her paws. Echo smiled silently, then glanced up as she felt a few drops of water against her forehead. She sighed; it was starting to rain. She gently picked up her kitten and huddled against the wall to shelter better from the weather. Mimi mewed softly, and Echo cuddled the adorable young feline for comfort.

Lux walked with his hands behind his head and his white hood up. He wondered around, looking for people to talk with. Honestly, he liked the odd ones over the normal ones. He liked this life a lot better then his old one, believe it or not. Occasionally the rich boys would pick on him, but he didn't mind. Tonight was one of those nights. As they approached, Lux acted as if they weren't there. "Hey street dweller!" One called out. Lux chuckled. "Street dweller? Is that the best you got?" he still faced away from them. "Why you little-" They got closer and one punched him in the stomach, then shoved him to the ground. "Learn your place shrimp!" They trashed him around some more and then left. He laid spread out on the pavement as the rain began. It washed away most of the blood on his face, but the bruises remained. He sighed, got up, and stumbled to an alley way. He saw a girl cuddling a kitten and decided he was going to talk to her. "Hey." He smiled as he squatted next to her.

Melvyn grunted an moaned, with both eyes shut. He stretched his arms out in the air. When he finally opened his eyes, there was the familiar face of a Magpie. The black and white bird pecked at his nose, but Melvyn pushed the bird away. Soon enough he flew back to perch on the young boys shoulder. Roth, or so he was called, cawed a shrieky croak. "Shut up..." Melvyn spoke. Coincidently, Roth did. He flapped his wings quickly one or twice, but settled down. The hooded boy stood lazily and yawned, not bothering to cover his wide mouth as he did so. He brushed a little dirt off of his trousers with a few sweeps of his hand, and came out from behind the rubble of the old knocked down house. He climbed up onto a few stacked bricks, put his hand at his brow to shade his eyes from the early evening glare, and looked around.
"nothing unusual..." Mel mumbled to himself. Something caught his eye, though. It was Echo getting up for the evening 'street kid hour.' "Just the cat girl..." He spoke again, then was disturbed again. A boy was beig beat up by other boys. Badly. "dont look, Roth." He said, slightly scared that the boys might come over to him. Breathing quickly, he sat down. Roth leapt from his shoulder ad glided to the brick in front of him, and looked up with beady eyes. Mel ignored the bird and picked up a strand of dry, dead grass, and fiddled with it. "what do you want, Roth? Food? Well, I'm afraid we are all after that." Melvyn usually spoke like that to Roth, as Roth was his only company. He hated silence because he thought it made time slow down, and talking to a bird that never left you seemed to speed up the lonely hours a little.

Echo looked sharply upwards upon hearing Lux's voice, then her eyes widened a little as she saw him. Instantly she had gone into high alert; any stranger meant danger to Echo, and without hesitation she tried to back away, but of course the wall was in the way so she got nowhere. Still cuddling Mimi, Echo then bowed her head, not meeting Lux's eyes; this was a respectful gesture she resorted to if she couldn't get away from someone...it was almost like saying 'I surrender'. Mimi mewed softly and squirmed free from Echo's grip, then ambled a little clumsily over to the newcomer. Echo did look up at that point, but only because she was worried about her pet getting hurt.
Echo did look up at Lux then, and in that instant she noticed the bruises on his face. They looked recent, too... And he didn't seem the type who'd hurt her. Still, she remained cautious; better to do that than take a chance and end up hurt, or at least that's what Echo thought. She bowed her head a little again, shifting her position a little, the remainder of the chain around her leg clattering a little against the ground.
"Hi..." Echo said, her voice no more than a dainty whisper. "I'm Echo...and th-that's Mimi..." She pointed to her kitten when she said that last part; Mimi had begun to sniff the newcomer curiously. Echo had stammered a little due to her nervousness, but that was understandable.

Taylor was playing with Nikki when the smell of hotdogs filled the air. She smiled at Nikki, who wagged her tail excitedly. Nikki had actually gained more weight so she wasnt as skinny as before when they still lived in her parents home. Around the corner was the hotdog man taking a break. "Haha the heros enemy has decided to take a rest. While the hero's sidekick, Nikki the Amazing, distracts the bad guy." she joked. Nikki then barked loudly at the hotdof man and took a sausage from the cart. "Hey you stupid mutt!" he yelled, going after her. Taylor then took some sausages in an old cloth she found and ran off. "C'mere gurl!" she whistled for Nikki. Nikki then ran as fast as she could, away from the hotdog man and into an alley. When they got there the rain had started. "No no, the sausages!" she exclaimed as they were getting soggy. Their hotel was pretty far away and the food would never make it. She then sat underneath a wooden board she set up so the rain wouldnt hit them. She then gaveNikki half of the food and they both finished. She then put the leftover in the old cloth with was tapped a a sturdy stick. She knew it was so cliche to have a cloth with stuff in it on a stick but it was actualky quite useful sometimes. After that she started to walk to the hotel and saw another homeless boy talking to a magpie. "Pretty weird huh?" she asked Nikki joking, Taylor always knew it was a bit weird to talk to Nikki herself but she didnt care.

Mel looked up as he heard the Hotdog man shout, and as a girl and her dog ran off with some sausages. They seemed a little dissappointed as It began to rain, but to Mel and Roth, that did not matter. A little bit of water can't possibly ruin a meal... If you had one, like the girl and the dog. Melvyn was shocked that the girl had given half of the food to her dog, where she could have been a little more generous and given part to him and the Magpie. Animals don't eat as much as humans, and Mel thought that the other street kid would have a rather stubborn and selfish personality. He knew that the girl had seen him but she seemed like she didn't care what so ever that a starving young boy was sitting out in the freezing cold, wet evening with his bird. It seemed as so Roth had seen it too, as he hopped around and cawed loudly in the direction of the girl and dog.

Taylor heard the bird caw and she turned. Nikki grew excited and ran in their direction. "Dude! Hey, Nikki!" she shouted after her. Taylor then caught up with Nikki and the boy with the bird. "Um, hey sorry man. I guess she just got excited." she apoligized. "Um anyway cool bird, and we got some leftover but we werent gonna finish them all anyway." she said as she handed over the sausages. "Whats your name by the way?" she asked kindly.

Melaria has been living on the streets for 2 months now. Not to much to get excited about? Well she has two pal named Lucy((the parrot)) and Abigal ((The bunny)). Like others who have pets. All food goes to them. Melaria has been listening closely to the other street children at night. On one particular night about 3 nights ago. Melaria heard a boy getting beat up again. The other ((rich boys)) were talking smack to the poor fellow. But Melaria could not do anything. She was to busy holding her parrot and the kitten. When the poor boy got up he immediately went into a alley. I am unsure what happened then. ((That is my first paragraph!))
Rejoining, I have a lot of TU that I find unused up. Got any good pets? Let me know, I might buy them

Lux smiled at the girl when she replied. He could tell she didn't like strangers. "It's ok." He tried to reassure Echo. "I'm not going to hurt you." He let out a soft chuckle. As he looked down at the kitten, Lux couldn't help but notice the chain on Echo's foot. It just happened to catch his eye. He pointed at it and looked up to Echo's face. How'd that happen? Why don't you take it off?" Lux examined the chains a bit closer. They seemed to be lodged into her leg. He imminently thought of the old hospital his father used to work at. "Hey! My dad was ironically a doctor before the Hospital was abandoned! Maybe we could get that thing out of your leg!" Lux said, remembering he had no medical experience.

Echo blinked, still a little reluctant to meet Lux's eyes. She did, however, meet his gaze when he asked her about the chain on her leg. She sighed a little, quietly, but said nothing, reluctant to speak about how and why that chain had been placed on her. Then she heard Lux's suggestion of going to the abandoned hospital to take it from her leg, and she froze for a moment. She seemed quite surprised; both at Lux's apparent kindness, and from the fact that there was an abandoned hospital somewhere around here (she hadn't known of it, having not strayed far from the alley). She held her head to one side a little, in an almost quizzical-looking posture. Then she nodded, slowly.
"Sounds like a good idea..." Echo whispered, delicately raising a hand and flicking a strand of her very pale hair back from where it had fallen across her eyes. |

Melvyns head swung round and Roth flew to his shoulder for reassurance. He stared at the girl. "I'm Melvyn, Mel for short... Or Mel-face, as I am often called. Why do you say 'um' almost every time you speak?" He replied. Roth tilted his head and glared down at the dog, clearly not enjoying its company. "And this is Roth." Mel pointed out, smiling and pushing Roth off his shoulder. He hovered then moved forward again, but this time sat higher up on Mels head. He flapped his wings once, nervously, no doubt. Mel picked up a sausage and tore it in half, puttin half on his head for Roth and shoving the other half down his throat. Roth pecked at the meat quickly, only stopping for the occasional look down at the dog. "I have told you my name. Mel. Tell me yours. I guess the dog is Nikki. You shouted it when she ran over." Mel said as he picked up another sausage and ate it all to himself.

Taylor laughed a bit embarresed. "Sorry, just kinda nervous. I dont always talk to the other street kids." she replied. She noticed that Mel didnt exactly enjoy Nikki as much as Taylor did. "Haha yea thats Nikki, and why Mel-Fac?" she asked. "Taylor by the way." she answered and waited for his.

Taylor rolled her eyes. "Well then i see why." she said mostly to herself. Taylor then brushed herself off and put her hoodie over her head. The rain seemed to be getting harder and harder. Thoguh the boy was a bit rude she would feel bad for leaving him out hee in the rain. "I live in an old hotel, maybe you would like to come over so you aren in the rain?" she asked him.

Lux smiled a toothy smile when Echo agreed to go with him. Then he realized he had forgotten something important. "My name is Lux by the way." He stood up and held his hand out to help Echo up. Thinking for a second, Lux thought it probably hurt her to walk with her leg like that. "I can, uh, carry you if you want?" Lux suggested.

Melvyn looked at Taylor. "At least I'm not a wimp." He snapped, and jumped down from the pile of bricks. He picked up a few and began building a sort of house. It was just a small square outline of bricks on the ground at the moment, but Mel hoped it would not just be that in maybe two hours time. He really put his back into it, and after say- twenty minutes, it was a little taller. "Keep going..." he muttered to himself. Roth was watching from the ground, being careful not to get crushed by any of the bricks.

Echo nodded a little as Lux gave her his name, but when he held out a hand for her, she just blinked and held her head a little to one side, evidently quite puzzled. She didn't know the custom of shaking hands, and as such this action was completely alien to her; she had no idea what to do when he held out his hand, so she just looked at it, figuring out what she was meant to do. When she heard the next thing he had to say, though, Echo shook her head a little. She then proceeded to do something quite odd; she gently picked up Mimi, tickled the kitten's forehead affectionately, then placed the tiny feline under her hat. Then Echo propped herself up on all fours and scampered nimbly forward a little way, to show that she could move just about as well that way. More to the point, though, she was still being a little cautious of this newcomer.
