Noctis turned and helped her gain her balance "You ok?"He asked, some concern in his vvoice. He couldnt help it, it was in his nature to protect people. He was also growing fond of Sara and didnt want her getting hurt.

My cheeks turned red with embara.ssment. "Um..." I looked down, able to stand on my own now. "Yeah. I'm fine." This was akward. Or at least it was for me. In all of my sixteen years of life, I haven't really had social interaction with boys. My parents normally kept me locked away. However, the balls in heaven gave me a chance to interact with others that were my age. In heaven, I got to dance with princes, talk with girls my age. But after the recently escalating attacks by demons, we had to go into lockdown. Or at least my family thought so.

I followed behind Noctis, being careful where I stepped this time. Every once in a while, I stopped to take in the scenery. I felt like flying here. Flying over the mountains would be beautiful. I crossed my arms and walked behind him, speeding up so that I was beside him.

They had reached the mountains and Noctis gave a small smile. "Here we are" he said still smiling. He closed his eyes feeling the breeze that came from around them. This was one of the best places to be on earth. He felt free and and at peace.

I stopped and closed my eyes also. I walked forward towards a white bird that was sitting on a branch. It didn't run away. I told it that I was its friend, and it believed me. I held out my index finger, and it perched on it. It let out a coo, and I rubbed its head. I could speak to animals, and they could speak to me. I understood them, much unlike humans, who cut down their forests and slaughtered them simply for their fur.

Noctis smiled at the scene and looked at the sky. He let the sun beat down on his face. "I see you like animals"He said not looking at her. His arms was folded an he was leaning against a tree. He was glad she was enjoying he time here on earth, well for the most part.

"Yeah. I can talk to them," I said, letting the bird fly away. I turned to face Noctis and sat down at the trunk of a big douglas fir tree. "What can you do? I mean, your powers?"

He smiled back and thought "Um...healing?" he guessed. He had a few more ideas but that was the first one that came to mind. It would of been awesome to hm if he guessed right the first time.

I stumbled. He had guessed right. "Are you sure you can't read minds, too?" I squinted at him. "Healing is my second power. I haven't discovered what my third power is yet, though." Several birds were singing, not afraid of Noctis or myself in the least bit.

"The animals give me small hints and clues as to what my third power is. Animals can see into our souls. Just as I can see into their souls. That is how it works." I wrapped a strand of my blonde hair around my finger, and looked at Noctis.

A part of my heart stung. Dad. Mom. One was dead, and the other one was probably dead inside. I forced a fake smile and said, "We should get home. It's getting dark," I said gesturing towards the sunset. The sunset made that top of the mountain look purple. I put my hands behind my back and rocked back and forth on my heels.

He saw right through her fake smile but didnt say anything. He stood "Your probably right"He said with a small sigh. He missed his parents as well, even though he was really young when they died, he still remembers there faces.
